It's clear that the game has some more useful perks (Double-Time) and less.. useful ones (Drones' Friend).
Especially on the 3rd perk slot uselessness seems to accumulate.
- Merge both Device Detection and Hacker. Make Hacker possible to hack S-Mines as well (if it doesn't already).
- Add to Blast Protection reduced cool-down to flash, stun and tear gas effects.
- Either buff base HP regen or buff Quick Recovery.
- Remake Drones' Friend into giving you 10-20% bonus points instead of reducing the required amount of points. Optional: You also activate kill streaks faster (like Quick Switch).
- Add "Restock" to 3rd slot; every 25s/15s you get your lethal/tactical restocked. (Active Claymores and S-Mines are capped by 2, deploying a 3rd will have the 1st despawn)
In the 1st Slot Nimble Hands, Quick Reload and Quick Switch all have their place even though the nerf to Nimble Hands was regrettable imo. However Quick Aim and Balance seems lacking, which I would solve by merging both into a single perk.
And 2nd Slot... Double-Time. Actually let that skill be as it is, but buff the alternatives.
- Make Marathon also increase Stamina regen.
- Have Feather Steps also muffle or completely silence jumps.
- Move Ammo Supply to 3rd Perk Slot
- Gear Pouch also carries an extra mag for both Primary and Secondary
Just saying these would be massive changes, I don't expect them to do any of it much less this entire wall of text. These are just my thoughts on the current perks and how you could make them a bit more useful so you don't have the obvious Quick Reload/Nimble Hands -> Double Time -> Stealth/Quick Recovery/Long Ears choice, but instead each perk fulfills at least a niche big enough to actually get considered.
I am in no way calling for nerfs for the meta and I do not particularly wish for a power creep, I just want a wider variety of viable perks to choose from.
