Please send any critique here. Really trying to secure an interview for swe internship at amazon / microsoft / C1 / big tech (Summer 25).

Frankly, you have a 0% chance at big tech. Your projects and experience are just not of the caliber that big tech is looking for. To see an example of someone with a realistic chance, look at resumes of someone like @mellow basalt or @spiral ridge . However, if you make some improvements to your resume, you could get a position a smaller/medium sized company, especially with your experience. Here is what I would do

  1. Expand your expperience sections. They look very unimpressive just because of the formatting, when they could actually be really good.
  2. You need to go more in depth about the stats of your projects, as the numbers right now look pretty random. Use AI on your bullet points to make them better in general
  3. Combine skills and activities sections

I wish you the best of luck! The good thing is that you have a lot of unrealized potential. You might not be accepted at the big N companies you want, but fix up your resume and you will 100% get a good summer internship!

No but everyone I know who got FAANG caliber internships have really impressive shit on resumes (T15+ school, already big company on resume etc)

Look at box guys resume, you see how he gives very specific technical details and his resume just looks very clean?

Recuiters spend seconds looking at ur resume. They will profile you based on the way your sections look

Its a very generic project and I dont think its adding much, unlike leidon, gatherit and sands which are actually pretty cool

most of my peers at my school simply got big names on their resume straight away and i personally dont have big names on my resume (both no names but ones a drone startup and ones an engineering company + big club)

plus ufl has decent connections to FAANG esp amazon and microsoft

the resume feedback is 100% valid but experience by itself is really good.

for reference most ik do this: no name -> good tech (coinbase, datadog, oracle, cisco, wtv) -> big tech or HFT (faang, citadel, js, etc)

ur target companies are hard in this market ofc but its definitely not even close to 0 chance

i like the added bp for leidos w/ metrics, like how you are more specific on what you are using, overall looks similar but still pretty damn good for the internship + swe. i would say tho for the sands realty one you could make the first one just one line to be more readable

I think for your work experience, maybe use more technical terms to describe things you did. ATS picks up on those kinds of things, and hopefully some of the words will catch its attention.
