#2024 Summer Internships - Is TOO much experience a thing?

I do have enough experience to be able to get a full-time job and I have even turned down positions because I'm in school and want to graduate. But at the same time, I'm scared that recruiters will look at the amount of experience I have and reject me on the basis that they want students that don't have this much experience. Should I be worried about not getting internships? I am happy with my current job as they are really flexible and considerate with my school, and the freelancing aspect of my other job is nice because I can focus on my studies when I need to and get some money on the side when I need money, but I do want to work at a FAANG company even if it means interning.

Also, given my experience, should I still put Education at the top?

We freelancers are in the same boat lol, a lot of full stack swe experience as students. As long as grad date is clearly outlined as you’ve done you’ll be fine. Maybe put grad date at the top so they don’t just see your exp and think you’re overqualified, but depends on what you want

It’s a lot easier to get into FAANG as an intern and getting the ro
