I have recently noticed sometimes the game will not completely close. I have tried using taskmanager and steam to close the game but it goes from Apps to running in Background Processes. I have tried changing accounts opening other things and sometimes it goes away but this last time I had to completely restart my pc to get it to stop. When I try to open DOD while its in background processes, I will either get the non stop connecting in main menu or I will get an error when the EAC is loading. I don't know if this is a new issue but its driving me nuts.

The devs are aware of the issue, in essence EAC updated on the 9th, and is now taking a long time to close itself after the game shuts down. With the rest of the chaos happening at the same time as the EAC update, the devs did not have the time to tear out any unecessary aspects from the EAC update, but will be going over it to optimize what has been going on.
Right now we unfortunately do not have any advice other then what has been working for some players, which would be closing DoD with task manager, or restarting the PC if necessary.
