Had a thought on the eldering crystals for whenever the mega map comes out...
Since we know each dragon is going to have a preferred environment, such as flame stalkers preferring heat and the like, why not have the eldering crystals reflect that? During the day, the rates stay the same across the board. At night, places like deserts and volcanos could have a higher rate of reds, forests could have a higher rate of greens, et cetera. This way, the "home" environment of a specific breed could cater to that breed. Give them an actual reason to linger in those areas instead of applying punishments for not.

I love this idea
A higher rate of, say reds, by necessity means the rate of everything else is lowered in comparison. So while FS and IR are rewarded for being in a hot zone, all other species are punished for leaving their zones and entering the hot ones, and FS and IR in turn are punished by a lower eldering rate should they travel outside of their zone.
I think I'd actually prefer the opposite effect. Place more rewards outside the comfort zone. Make the risk worth it. During the Day time you see everything easier. If nights produced more rewards it would be more of a challenge and rewarding when you are still able to accomplish it despite the hardships... I understand rewarding one for being on their own turf, but I'm sure there are other aspects that can be affected to still give that home field feeling. I jjsy can't think of em right now.
