Can't respawn DLC/KS dragons without a DLC/KEY

Title says it all, apparently you can't respawn DLC/KS dragons if you don't have a key?

How to reproduce this problem:

1. Get nested in as a bio
2. Grow it to juvi or adult
3. Die

Can confirm test, dead bio without keyholder, no re-spawn offered, dead bio with keyholder, respawn offered and accepted successfully
Both full grown single session.

We have confirmation that this is intended, if you do not have a key you need to be renested

How about DLC dragons?

Because the whole point of the respawn mechanic is don't be scared of dying on your dragon and lose stats

So I can understand Bios being cosmetic, but dlc dragons are actually intended for combat, meaning that people without a dlc would still be told not to use their dragon

you serious? 90% of players don't have Bio DLC , so you think its ok that 90% of players can't resurrect their bio? Even though it's the most vulnerable dragon that's most likely to die by accident?

restoring should still be possible if the dragon dies in an unintended manner or if you are killed by someone hacking but if you are unable to spawn the dragon without being nested you would not be able to respawn the dragon with a respawn screen

My apologies, when i said "resurrect" i do means the respawn as the same dragon. like what koraxa said, its pointless if you cant respawn your dragon without its dlc, after so many times we been told "you dont have to buy/own the dlc to play this drgaon".

You can be nested and there are NPC dragons on island that can give you an egg

Still kinda sucks that you lose your pearl

It should be able to be dropped and picked up (but not able to be equipped) by a friend, therefore allowing for simple safeguarding against losing a pearl you likely spent hours hunting for

I have all DLCs besides bio key, and I honestly don't mind it if people can respawn their DLC dragon, they'll be stuck with the skin/stats given, and will be even a bigger "issue" when the skin crafting system comes out

If we want kickstarter dragons to be exclusive to the point that we can't respawn them, I can accept it, kickstarter was way more expensive than mt DLCs

Might make a suggestion for this

Losing the pearls is honestly the biggest headache that comes from this (and stats if you're in PvP)

I agree; and the pearl grind is in no way enjoyable or friendly when there's other people grinding too

i mean we already have bio's dlc exclusive emote for all player, why cant we able to respawn it too since it did matter to player's game play? i lost my bio with a sand pearl before 1.2 update, i spend lot of time to farm another one and get a new bio, thinking i might put it on when the respawn thing is out, and now i'll been told i cant respawn it cuz i dont have the bio dlc -.- im not sure should i put a pearl on bio anymore

Oh yeah I'm not against respawning bios, just saying that utility wise, at least DLC dragons should be respawnable

If devs agree on adding bios to the list then it's a win win 💜
