Exact details on how to summon Thunderstorms using BlitzStrikers

#

Like minimum Striker participants, how long to roar, how high, anything

#

I have summoned one storm previously, and I did have three others helping

#

all flying high enough, but i dont know times

Iirc from the devstream, you need to be

  • above cloud level
  • call repeatedly
  • the lesser growth of your dragons, the more of them you need

So it's going to be a good bit of data gathering.
May or may not be limited to once per game day per server.

It might.

#

Eveything helps

#

I thought stormcalling could be done below the clouds because I saw the text saying 'you call the storm...'

#

I do not remember if I was above the clouds when we managed to summon a storm

#

One other thing to consider that I'm not sure about is if we need participating strikers in one location or if it doesnt matter where we all are?

Honestly the best way to gather data for this would probably be to go onto a private server with a bunch of friends and test that way. As i feel a full server could potentially skew the data

the younger the blitz the more you will need to call the storm, if you have elders it takes much less and an ancient can basically call the storm alone. you also just need to fly up a pretty good height into the atmosphere. hope this helps.

Unsure how to even get an ancient. Eldering, besides daily tics, is also a mystery

Ancients aren't in game, devs are uncertain if they'll allow us to become such, or if it will be NPCs only

And if they do, how to balance the gain of them so we cant just be lazy

#

like with option 1 of eldering

#

As for dragon amounts, rough guides would be helpful. All this done in due time, though. The update has been out barely two days.

it was mentioned by jao in the dev stream ^^ what i had said dont kill the messenger lol

#

there ya go ^^

#

heres the clip from the dev stream hope this helps

That does provide a bit, thank you Ancient.

I have an idea for a test, but I don't have the ability to call people in myself

8-10 people gather in an empty server, just us, and grow normal Strikers up to fresh adults. No elder tics.

Every rainstorm, we gather at a convenient height (stamina, yk) and test from three adults and on. One test per storm untill we get a solid(ish) number for fresh adults needed to stormcall.

Once that number is determined, only that many do this next part.

Spread out for next rain storm.

If, while spread out and not clumped, stormcalling still can happen, then more branched tests can start for whatever. Numbers of other ages n' stuff.

Takes 10-20ish adults from what I recall of sanctuarys first storm call blitz just need to see the call the storm thing to summon it

#

Also need the pop up of the weather can be manipulated

Interesting

#

I do not know if there were more strikers participating in the one I summoned, but I do know myself and three others did. I do not think any of us had anything on eldering.

#

So far what we know:

Less growth, more participants needed. Best if participants are as old as you can get it, unless one is ancient, then they can stormcall solo. (Ancients are a whole other debate tho, since they are not in game and might never be- we don't know)

Every rainstorm (that can be manipulated), 4-20 (amount testing needed) Strikers fly above cloud level and constantly scream.

Are we positive that we must be above cloud level to stormcall? I was just in manipulatable rain and when I crossed above the clouds multiple times, when I roared, it didnt give me the 'you call for the storm' prompt untill I dipped below.

you need to be in the atmosphere below the clouds

#

going above the clouds will not work

Well, I'm not 100% sure it wasn't the server doing the storm on it's own, but I just took my elder blitz up during some light rain and got a storm in like 10 screams (full storm with infinite stamina and lightning calling)
Will test again next day it starts raining lightly

Right so I tested it again

Light rain / Only person online / Full elder Blitz
On my 5th call I got "You sense a storm coming, thunder and lightning..."
On my 7th call I got struck by the bolt when I screamed

So it seems like an individual elder blitz actually can call a storm down on its own, and pretty quickly too

#

^ both times done well below cloud level but high enough over the ground to get the "you call for the storm" message

Interesting

So I wonder how long it would take 1-2 adult blitz if an elder can do it in only 5 calls, roughly.
