We get it, Eating and Drinking is overly loud for 0 reason. Why does the entire server gotta know exactly where you're drinking or killing a bug gotta know at all times?
I feel like changing it would be a good benefit since people die as hatchling alot and drinking or even killing a bug makes a insane amount of sound mainly if you killed a bug then entered a area where someone killed it replays the death sound letting people know someone is still around there and the bug hasn't been eaten.. I and other people I'm clanned with are able to hunt down hatchies, juvies and even adults just by the loud Drinking sound that you can hear as soon as you enter render distance of them.

A good middle ground would also make the sounds quiet as a hatchling (edit: all sounds, esp eating and drinking, getting hurt as a hatchling is a good a warning sound to whoever may be protecting nearby [if any] but def don't need to hear it halfway across river lol) and the sound level increase to their current level as you grow to adult. Gives hatchlings a chance to get to juvi to have a chance to run away should they get found. Or even just a chance to hide should an FS by flying above
