alright I am not happy to make this but as a player from MM I have to say from all I heard and my own experience I see admins online on discord and when I ping for an admin 3 TIMES nobody comes or responds like at least I need a respond that you guys are busy but this happens a lot of times and then you guys have more work with reports and that stuff so please if there is not enough admins recruit more cuz this is out of hand

Yeah well there was at least 2 of us pinging for a fight watch if there aint enough admins it needs to be solved cuz then they will just get more reports of problems as yes some fights go on for a long time thats why I pinged 3 times but I only got a respond 50 min layter that they are busy

From what I know there is also a lack of admin presence on Burning Sands. Our only very active community member is Slith, and it would very much help PR for the Australian community if admin trials came back and more Aussies had the chance to join the admin team, as even while the player base was active at the start of 1.0 we felt ignored by the general dev team. Let us Aussies have more of a voice please.

think its unfair to point fingers at admins since theyre volunteerly helping out, you never know why one or another isnt active or around at the moment maybe some have kids they need to take care of? work? perhaps even vacation? admins are just humans like you and me and pointing fingers at something that is volunteer to help the community out is actually wild especially when you take into account how much time they spend weekly admining overall personally think you should reconsider such feedback since im sure you'd hate it too if you were to volunteerly help out and then someone would point fingers at you for not doing enough

Yes I understand that they are just people like us so thats why rucruiting so there is more of them it might help with how much work goes to one person and everything, but for a PvP players this is kinda anoying when you get killed through a wall cuz of flames and then you might lose a very important dragon (breeders good fighters, elders, etc.) so having more admins sounds like a way to solve this problem and maybe some problems can be caught before they even become a problem and people that use for refrence flaming through wall could be punished with a 24h ban or a warning

I'm pretty sure people who lose elders to a glitch or bug get them replaced with an elder grow no?
Can only agree to what @sleek grotto just said, I get your point Kurama but your feedback sounds hateful and disrespectful as if admins choose to simply not assist because they're bored enough todo so.

I understand what you are saying and what you mean but I stand for my word as this has happend multiple times from what I heard in the comunity I am part of so it comes out as disrespectuful but to make sure I only have full respect for the admins I am just asking at least for this to happen as minimaly as possible I love the admins and talking to them in game but one time an admin was on the server in the game so I messeged in @a if they could watch the fight instead they wemt offline and when I pinged I got responded to 50 min later so I am sorry its more of a warning and a request

the admins aren't entitled to play the game how you want them to. sounds like they simply had to go.

nor are they entitled to be able to respond when you expect

yeah, just because there are admins online in game or on discord doesn't mean they're necessarily available to help, sounds like the just had to leave. and I think pinging 3 times within about 30m or whatever is pretty unnecessary as well, can just ping once and wait for a response when they're available to respond. they aren't always going to be available 24/7 since they're just volunteers, you don't need to spam them with pings if they don't immediately respond to you.. and yeah, if nobody is available you can just send a report after, they don't have to always have people available to deal with things right when they happen

I do think pinging 3 times in 30 minutes is not -too- excessive if it is, in fact, about something that is an emergency, like losing an Elder to a bug that needs restoring (which, at least in the past, had a 30 minute timer attached to it or the restore would be kaput/much more problematic to work out).

So that specific bit I don't think should be thrown that much negativity on.

That said, I do agree that this very much sounds like you are taking subjective negative experiences and blowing them out of proportion to be the norm.

(Note: I am not playing on MM, so I have no idea of the Admin situation there in particular. All I am going by is the information and opinions given here.)

Having more Admins might be a good call, and I think they might recruit new ones come the next update when player counts are gonna ramp up again. But right now, with a playerbase around the low hundreds per day, and it being the middle to end of the Summer Holidays for most countries, they might just plain not be overly available right now as, as my pre-posters pointed out, it is a voluntary thing for 9 out of 10 of them.

No, they don't. Elder grows don't exist-- the only ones who can elder a dragon by command are devs themselves. It's not in the admin panel. Admins can RESTORE a dead dragon, but there are limits-- you need to not respawn that species, nor log out, and there is a timer as well (not sure if 30 minutes or an hour).

That being said, unfortunately there's so few people playing that there simply aren't many people who want to admin right now. I know of more than a couple retired admins. It sucks to lose a dragon, but if an admin isn't available, they aren't going to be more available just because you spam ping them. And, in comparison to other indie creature survival games, 50 minutes is way, WAY better response time than some games (not to throw any names around).

I do agree that they should try to recruit more admins. Pinged official admins because people where exploiting and 1h later I still had no response, fight was over and I deleted my ping.

Why it's important to have admins on:
Players will look thru the walls to count how many dragons are inside caves just to know if its worth to push their dragons in or not. This is something that can be really hard to report to get the person punished, it makes it annoying to play especially in PvP as it becomes unfair and same goes for meshing. There are also those in PvE who harass other players by shooting at them or by using foul language in the chat and the victims/other players cant stop it from happening on their own, which makes them either have to leave the server or to let this continue happening to them.

Yes i understand that the admins have lives outside DoD and I'm not telling them to work even harder I'm just suggesting to recruit more admins so they can be more active to kick/ban/mute those who keep doing stuff they are not allowed to do, which will make the game more enjoyable <3

Is it a restore, or a grow? Maybe I'm arguing pedantics in terms of commands here, but my understanding is that admins can't grow a dragon to elder, but they can restore a dead dragon to life at whatever growth they were when killed. The issue with restore is there's a time limit before the server clears the old save, whereas a grow can be claimed later on a new dragon, unless that has changed? If I am wrong I will edit or delete my post
