I know it was brought up to be adjusted in 1.1 with other water changes, but JAO said it is a 5min min change and it doesn't effect combat so can we get it. Easy quality of life change since we have another year or two until 1.1.

It'd be nice if they gave ASD more maneuverability in water, like being able to swim up/down faster, slightly faster turn speed, or even be able to swim slowly backwards

#

That effects combat a lot though, but just being able to swim faster in water would be an amazing change in itself.

No dragon is fighting in the water besides ASD, swim speed would just make them no longer a sitting duck once they get in.

Actually, there is. Other than flame cloak water is how you wash of acid. So obviously FS and SS are going to dive for the nearest pond if they get hit. ASDs can either wait till the FS/SS swim out and try to fly off again (since acid does nothing to swimming dragons), or they can jump in and start biting them. I haven't tested this in 1.0, but FS could outturn ASDs in water. ASDs can also do water ambushes on swimming dragons rather than ones on the shore. Fighting in water isn't every situation when it comes to ASD pvp, but more maneuverability in water for the ASD in general would be great.

I also want swimming up/down to be easier, because right now it can only be done while being still. It makes escaping flames/plasma shots very difficult.

And yea, ASDs are way slower and more vulnerable in water than they should be. They should at least increase the swim speed.

(Also I just realized I might have pinged you, sorry if I did that 😭 )

If asd gets to swim faster, then so should everybody else with their larger and stronger legs, and IR armwings

If anything the bigger dragons would have a harder time swimming because of their wings. You ever see a bird that isnt meant for water try to swim? Their wings get in the way and their feet aren't meant for propelling. Especially the IR because they'd need their wings to help stay afloat due to not being able to tread water as easily with only two legs. FS is rather large and in real life would likely struggle for anything more than immediately trying to get out. SS would make the most sense to be able to move okayish in the water, but not as efficiently as an ASD
ASDs have a more mammalian build and can swim the same way a dog or cat does, which reasonably should give them a better advantage in the water.

i do agree, it would be nice for asd to swim faster, they are the only ones anyway that can move up and down into it. i was thinking if they haven't done it now they might do it with the aquatic dragon update. i do hope they do it soon cause it would be nice to get swimming speed going

asd's were meant to be semi-aquatic, but no one plays them that way because of how useless they are in the water currently
if they had an advantage in water, like flying dragons have an advantage in the air, it would make combat a lot more interesting
