I personally think customization option would be absolutely wonderful for the game. Since you can rp in the game it would be helpful so others can make their Ocs and creat fun designs. If not people can go with the official skins offered to them.

That kinda defeats the entire purpose of nesting and grinding for skins.
Though I dont completely disagree with you. Id love to rp as my own dragon but I think it would be better saved for something like a modded server. Using mods one could have different skins so you can be an oc or you can even implement an entirely new model. This would pair well with modded custom maps.
I can see people recreating the Wings of Fire world and dragon models and role playing as those types of dragons.
I believe such a modding community would really strengthen the game and shouldn't be frowned on by the devs. A lot of popular games right now are kinda reliant on mods to keep them relevant.
