DoD flying feels great, however a gripe is that the combat kind of feels like your playing war thunder and isn't very "organic" if that makes sense lol.
It would be interesting to see dragons able to lock and grapple in the air. Much like raptors such as hawks/eagles ect. Control being affected by weight of the dragon compared to the one being grappled. Would give the IR its whole melee dps role even though its near impossible to do melee combat in the air. Perhaps being able to drag your opponent to the ground and force a melee confrontation
This would still allow dragons like the SS to outrange and have counterplay to getting grappled by a larger dragon by simply being aware of their surroundings and not getting ambushed by a larger, slower dragon which otherwise could not catch it
Another interesting idea is having most if not all dragons able to grapple on to and climb walls/trees mid flight and jump off them or even from tree to tree. For example I can imagine shadow scale would be very agile while climbing. Able to use cliffs and other objects to "bounce" off of and change direction quickly or just get an advantageous takeoff angle whereas something like a Flame stalker would be too bulky to gain much out of climbing
