can we please keep the pink winged iconic for SS? its so fricken pretty that I really wish it would be an actual skin. or atleast make a new skin for the dragons because it is so beautiful!! 🩷 💙

The default skins are sometimes hard to look at… and to me- galaxy was super ugly and iconic was really dark and gloomy… but this skin bug makes such a pretty color that I wish would become permenant! (Now rn it glitches and doesn’t look like wings on the wing but the colors are magnificent!)

Honestly with skincrafting it would make for a lot of lovely variations if they could have more colour in their wings too, maybe if there are multiple patterns at least one could have the colourful wings because I agree, It works surprisingly well

I thought the pink was only supposed to be seen when you tilt the camera with a lightsource behind the wings. Every time I see this I think it looks more like a vampire lol. The fleshy pink color is too strong imo. Needs a tweak. Not removal per sey.

I at least heard that it was that lightsource thing, But that it is bugged so you see it even when you shouldn't
Like on Bio, you can see a faint bit at all times, But it only glows pinkish when the light is right behind it like when you are flying and look at the underside of your dragon?

well, then I kinda prefer more the bugged iconic than the og iconic, looks way prettier than solid blue

I love the bugged look! It seems much more natural and realistic to me. It has the different colors we expect of the iconic skin, but in a way that doesn’t seem like a painted strip along the wings.

honestly i just really like the current skin with the bright pink. it's really pretty

it kinda reminds me of the creator skin except it actually looks realistic and like a real animal, not a painted artwork

With skincrafting eventually coming out I don't think the exact colours matter too much as I think they'd be swappable?
Like a red from the red skin could be there, Or a grey from the grey skin for example, Or the pink on a black dragon there
I think the main thing to focus on with how skins will eventually change is less the colour there, But that we all really like the pattern the bug made?

Yes it is soo pretty! I was sad when I spawned in with the other one then bc I didn't know that it was just a bug
But I also think it looks way more realistic as this line of color on the edges - they kind of bothered me back then already and now they were turned into this pretty fade
Also, when the light shines through, it looks amazing aswell

100% agree, i dont like the iconic skin after the "hotfix" anymore or how it was before 1.0. Its soo pretty with the pinkish wings.

That doesn’t change the fact that if we could, it would not be allowed in idea spots because this community is too big to prioritize and show ideas.

what should happen is they should get a smart, trusted moderator / admin / whoever to look through the suggestions, and ping the developers pointing out the ones that aren't sht posts and that people actually spent time explaining and coming up with properly

Its the subsurface scattering layer at it's highest opacity. Which makes it look really cool in moonlight, almost like a bat. They turned it WAYYYY down during the new update where it's barely even noticeable even in direct light.

Maybe 50% would be preferable?

BTW the reason why it looked so pink is because in 1.0 all dragons got a "surface scattering" effect on the wings. This makes it so that light can actually travel through the wing as an effect - by and large, its an easy thing to do once you have the map there since its literally called "Subsurface Scattering"(if you wanna google). Its the same effect as if you held a light up to your fingers and saw the light through your fingers as super super pink.
its also why you can see veins. because those are the dragons veins painted onto the subsurface map.
reason why it looked so pink and changed later is that it was probabaly turned up high, and reduced later.
(but i also like the pink. Im all for giving SS more visual skin detail because its 70% one color)
