it gets really annoying when you have the same person asking over and over again for white dragon or just eggs in general. It's pretty much harassment and takes up half the chat feed

Agreed! I’ve seen a lot lately who just won’t drop the complaints about popped crystals for up to half an hour afterwards and it just gets annoying. So having a mute even if it was just temporary such as being just while you or the other player is online for that “session” would be really appreciated! 💜

Yes! It would also be a good feature to have for PVP players, especially if you're being harassed by a toxic player or toxic group. Overall could reduce the drama and toxicity of global chat most of the time ^^

I did a thread too (been closed as it’s a repeat), I decided in it that I’d prefer the mute option to be temporary- either per session or option for 24hrs-because that allows for dust to settle after whatever incident took place + gives opportunities to apologise and make up on this dragon game, as well as making sure that it’s not abused (like if everyone mutes a player cause they’re being annoying that one time and it doesnt automatically lift then it has the impact of an admin muting that player, which is oof imo, especially if the reason for you muting them is either smth a lil petty😉 or if it’s someone you’re usually okay with but they’re just having an off-day)
I also think that if you mute someone then the mute should go both ways, cause if for example you advertise an egg they want and then it looks like you’re just blanking them when they say whatever claim word then that wld be awkward for everyone, so it would be better to just prevent that from happening in the first place

I don't want to have to mute people again every time I start the game, I'd rather it not be temporary. Sometimes you just don't want to make up with people, a mute/block list is better so I can decide to unmute them myself.
Maybe there could be an option to block people for a certain amount of time too, in case you need a break from someone but don't want to forget to unmute them, like for a week or 30 days. But there definitely needs to be an option to perma mute as well.

I've been saying things like this for as long as I have been playing the game. A mute button would be so much more beneficial to a lot of players. It would solve 100% of the drama that goes on at any given moment. I think that someone who doesn't want to see chat messages (of people who trigger them for personal reasons) should have that choice. Adding in a mute feature (that the players themselves could control on their own) would help in the long run more than any of you know. Having the power to block/mute/ignore someone due to targeted harassment and or rage baiting would go a long way for everyone.
I would like to voice my opinion on this (so please, for the love of mashed potatoes and gravy, don't take this as me being passive aggressive or mean by any means. I struggle with communication skills because of my learning disability, so if I do say something that comes across crass, rude or upsetting, please know that I'm not being this way purposefully.)
The moral of the story Jao is, none of us want to continually be harassed. Even if it is just at a crystal or in general. The Mute/ignore feature would help everyone and it would most definitely make the admin team's jobs a lot easier. If none of the disrespectful messages were sent by the ones who cause other's to feel triggered, then there'd be nothing to respond to and no one's feelings would be hurt. A lot of the other games I've played have these features and it has saved me and a lot of other people a lot of trouble. There were many long hours where I had been surrounded by people who didn't care for me and purposefully picked on me because of my communication skills issues. Once the game Developers implemented these things I actually felt safe on the server again. I could play the game my way without fear of being bullied or harassed by others because this feature in it self protected me.

I also agree that an "Ignore/Mute" for other players should solve most of the problems that happen in the servers.
Individuals who feel harassed can just block being able to see comments from those they feel harassed by, and everyone (should) be happier for it. It's the most comprehensive way to solve a lot of the social problems that have been happening on PvE especially.

! Hopefully the dev's see this! Be able to add this! The community really realy wants this. This would def help with a lot of issues and people wouldn't have to deal with a lot of harrassments

Still in disbelief this was never implemented immediately upon creating the chat function at all. Still absolutely should be implemented.
In addition i think there could be a more thorough block function for not getting group invites from a person you dont want to interact with/avoid accidentally inviting someone you have blocked

Getting group invites from randoms is very annoying, especially if you're fighting and trying to join your group
I recommend options to block somebody for X amount of time ("/Block user for 1 hour 1 day"), and an option for "perma block", aka stays blocked until you unblock them

In addition to that, a /mute list should also be a thing, so you can see who you muted already. Just in case you feel like unmuting that person

I wish we could IP mute people as well, in the case of those with multiple alts who may try to bypass a block on one by harassing on another, not yet blocked account.
