I propose that if you find a hybrid egg in the wild, you can claim it by pressing a button (Or some other means) so that no one else can take it, incase you aren't a nurse dragon. Then you can ask someone you trust to come on as a nurse dragon, and they will request access to incubate your egg, and you can say yes or no.
If you die, you lose the claim on the egg, if you change dragons, you lose the claim on the egg, and if you leave it for 5+ minutes you lose the claim on the egg.
Lore wise I was thinking that the hybrid inside the egg is mostly developed (but can't hatch until a nurse incubates it) so it can hear, and it develops a bond with the first dragon who finds it, so it doesn't want to hatch for other dragons.
This was really just a random thought, not in love with it or anything, but I'm interested to hear your guys' thoughts on it
#Claiming Hybrid Eggs

While I like this idea, I feel that some clans would heavily take advantage of this feature and claim the egg so no one else can use it.
Well it's first come first serve anyways, this just makes it so its easier to keep the hybrid egg you found. I understand that clans have a better chance of finding them, since there's so many of them, but I believe that's their only advantage
maybe once the egg is claimed it respawns somewhere else?
Thats a good idea, but if someone claims an egg, another one spawns, and then the claimer dies, there could be 2 eggs on the map, and idk how the devs feel about that.
What about if the claimer dies the egg dies too? No more double egg
then people might use it as a way to seek out and destroy eggs for other players
According to the suggestion if you die you would lose the egg either way, so this would just eliminate the double spawn and the incentive for people to kill you FOR the egg
