depends
alevels is very focused only on your particular selected subjects
ib is a holistic approach and gives you a diversity of subjects
if you want to go to uni in the US then you're better off with ib imo

#

though it shouldnt matter a great deal

depends on where you want to go. some unis prefer ib over a levels due to diversity while others prefer a levels due to specification

it's fine, ib just has a slight edge

#

most important thing is how you utilize your academic resources

@kind falcon i think u should take A Levels cuz its like a continuation of the igcse syllabus and the shift from IGCSE TO IB will be hard. IB does focus on extracurriculars and all and is useful if u plan to go into american unis but AL is more established and like a classic system so id suggest stick with A levels and do hobbies side by side. IB takes most of the fun out of the extracurriculars cuz everything is graded. i also faced this issue where i fell in love with IB but now i realise that AL is better cuz it has free resources and IB stuff is very expensive online cuz copyrights and all.

If you know what you want to do in the future i would recommend a lvls as IB you have to either choose full diploma (fd) or courses. Basically fd is where you take 3 higher and 3 standard level subjects along side that you are required to do the extended essay. IB courses is less demanding than the fd where you can choose how many higher and standard level subjects you want as you can tell the fd has much more requirements and far more commitment, also IB courses i believe you have to take (6 subjects). A-levels you can choose as many subjects as you want but most people choose 3, a level content will dive deeper into theory and understanding ( it is a bit more than ib). So to end it there is no ''better curriculum'' that's subjective. Universities accept both a levels and ib you can get into a really good one with either of them. Also a levels and ib courses are kinda of similar but a levels is less demanding in the subject requirement demand you can for example even do 1.

The IB is a bit more recognizable in countries like the Us than a lvls.
