no
foundation year is not equivalent to university
when i said transfer i meant move from 1 university to another, not applying as a transfer
they might let you in if you do a foundation year, but why do you even want to skip a levels
A levels is a two-year program and I would want to go to university quite early cuz i would be 19 by the time i complete a level If I did it.
a year isnt going to make a big difference in your life lol
a lot of people graduate at 19
Oh okay
- why are you assuming you would get in?
ivy acceptance rates are sub 10%
even if you do everything right you can still get rejected
It's better to give it a try
didnt say you shouldnt
So A level is a better option ?
because acceptance rates are sub 10%
just keep that in mind, don't stress yourself out over it
prestige, connections, etc.
Assuming the average ivy league acceptance rate is 4%
and there are 8 schools
You have like a 72% chance of being rejected from all of them so yeah
But if you dont limit yourself to just the ivy league and you choose like 12 schools the cahnce of all rejection goes down to 61%
Thats assuming you did everything right in the first place,
So its almost a 50-50 chance
LOL THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS
Just apply to many schools, take your chances you're bound to get accepted to one of them (if you applied to enough schools and did everything right (became like head boy, president of like idk cricket team, get 45 in IB, help kids in poverty do .....))
thats not gonna get u accepted
No I said assuming you did everything right
45 in IB
president of school cricket team
Help kids in poverty
etc
of course they're not gonna accept you if you don't give them a reason to, but every school is different so it's worth a shot
Not much really, its just more prestigious and expensive lol
Imo only 2 type of ppl study at Ivy, people who are extraordinarily good at studies and ECA, like 4A* in alevels, started a business, world debate champion, etcetc
Or people who can afford the tuition without even breaking a sweat like 60k USD a year for tuition is nothing to them
