#Confusing American Uni requirements?

Hey, i'm planning on joining an american uni and their system is confusing me a bit. What do they mean by the following high school expectations?
How would I achieve these through IGCSE's and A-Levels?

I believe they mean terms.

Like, our school year is broken down into two terms. Others are broken down into three terms. Those can be classified as semesters accordingly.

Semesters system is when the school year is divided into two parts, 'terms' are usually school years being divided into three parts

i think they meant that you must've studied math for four years ,freshman year (9), junior year (10) sophomore year (11) and senior year (12)
