so i hvent taken physics but i have taken math aa hl, and i must say for subjects with vast content that needs to be covered teachers are very likely to rush through the syllabus, for bio we finished 1.1 - 1.6 in a mere 3 weeks whilst my friends in another school were still at 1.2. So I think it varies from teacher to teacher....but if you do have someone that rushes through the syllabus then self-study is currently the only thing i can suggest. perhaps make study groups (or not if u prefer studying alone), make ur own notes using your text book or other reference material eg oxford books or pearson, and then clarify ur concepts via youtube or peer study. that being said, many teachers rush through the syllabus due to pressure from the school itself, so maybe you could ask for after-school lessons or extra classes to get the teacher to clarify ur concepts if needed
I currently take AI HL and Physics HL and find that teachers are rushing through loads of work and a lot remains uncovered
