Hello, I am having problems with my Toonboom project files. Whenever I create a new file, I am missing the default color palette colors. Whenever I save this error (Image) appears.

The next time I open the project, my colors are gone and I am not able to interact with any of the color palette tools. I can't make any new palettes, import ones, etc. I noticed that some of the folders in my project file have either gone missing or are placed in a separate duplicate file. Usually, it is the "palette library," "frames," and "elements folders," but it sometimes varies.

I have had this happen to me a handful of times on Harmony 22, and now 24. Sometimes the issue either automatically fixes itself or goes away after shifting around some folders; however, I have not found a permanent solution nor any information about it on the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions/tips before I reach out to Toonboom support?

Hi, Bradical
Try to avoid placing ToonBoom project files on the computer desktop. It is recommended to place them somewhere like D drive or E drive.

I've mainly had this issue happen in a external hard drive. However, I'll keep that in mind. Would it be better to have my projects on my computer instead?

Also, I'll get you system info in a moment:

MacOS, Sonoma 14.6.1, 32GB Memory, Apple M1 Max chip

#

And my Harmony premium version is 24.0.1

It is not recommended to open files directly when they are placed on an external hard drive.
