I know there have been several instances where I accidentally wound up following a player who didn’t intend to light me for a while because we were next to say, a dark plant or candle cluster. My Sky Kid locks on to the symbol above their head when I’m trying to direct them to burn the plant, and then starts automatically trying to follow the other player with my candle still out. And I’m not always diligent about breaking that auto-follow as soon as it starts.

That is a good point, and would maybe give the benefit of the doubt to the person I reported if they weren’t repeatedly honking and going lighting other players before going back to that group

(there was actually one time that happened to me while I was trying to do the daily music sheet, kept following that poor person while playing the song )

one declination doesn't necessarily mean a total declination. the other player would still have the ability to try lighting the first again.

maybe building off my idea, a player who's declined X amount of lightning attempts could be given a message advising that they either leave or instructions on how to report that player once lit.

Alternatively though, I feel like ppl should not be making a HUGE deal if they get accidentally lit ESP at a social event like geyser and grannie. climbing the mountain in TE area surprisingly, you can long jump to get over the walls, and climb pretty steep slopes

Yes, actually! Unless it's been fixed, you can use it to skip past the third floor/section of Vault by going to the highest point (the ending point, on top of that small temple esque structure when you relive the spirit there, I forgot their name), it can be pretty difficult to pass it if you don't have enough flaps, so low gravity is a really helpful potion to use!

I wanna say the filter in game has some leniency depending on who is in your server instance, I vaguely recall that being a thing if you're only with friends some words won't get the red censor but if there's strangers too then they can get picked up, but I can't remember exactly where it was mentioned (or if it came to me in a dream maybe 🤔)

But as for here, the filters might seem bizarre and over the top, but generally there's a good explanation for what gets put on it! If you do ever get caught by the filter you can always reach out to mods to get some clarification

Yeah, not all spirits are actually visible in orbit because there'd be too many, iirc
But they still give wing buffs

the main reason is likely because there will be too many spirits but i also wanna think they made performance the cut-off point so they don't have to deal with how to represent non-human spirits like the shattering orbs

Performance seasons spirits too busy performing, and when the newer spirits went "wait, we can do that? Not go up there?" Everybody followed.

Unfortunately every spirit existing previous to performance signed a contract so they're always summoned to orbit.

Most masks are f2p though require candle grinding and some masks take a long time to returm through ts.
Some like the Mischief Cat Mask (and Cat Cape) are IAP tho, mostly in "days of" events and collabs

As for my own favorite/favorites, I saw Sinclair in the prologue and the autism immediately decided "YOU. You're my son now." Yi Sang is a close second, because sometimes you look at a character and just know they're neurodivergent.

I'm actually writing a fanfic centered around Sinclair and Yi Sang because I have a headcanon that they're lowkey besties. Also because of the imagery around them both lines up far too perfectly for me to not do something with. Their Cantos take place right after one another, with Yi Sang's Canto expanding on and exploring details and plot bits from Sinclair's. Sinclair is often referred to with egg and bird imagery and his Sinner icon is an egg, Yi Sang's icon is a pair of wings, and we see in his fathoms of ego just how much his dream of flying meant to him. ["Break the birdcage, and be free."]
