Hi, 2 days go on reset time, i had a bug, having time reset clock and sound and pray emote nonstop, many many times, and yesterday i didnt get a reset time, today i dont have reset time too, i have been collecting candles for so long time without foraging them, and i had grey candle, today i foraged them, i got my hearts and eden candese but i didnt get my white candles at all, even if i keep collecting wax light the candle doesnt fill up because its stuck on no reset time !!!

Well like Flower suggested the outfit requests channel can be really good, you can visit a website linked in the pinned section iirc and highlight which items you own and then fellow players can hop into a thread designated for your request and give you some different outfit combinations based on items you own!

It's all voluntary so it could take a little bit, but hopefully it can help you out there!

I will say though personally I like to focus on colour combinations, ones that compliment one another or add a nice pop of contrast but I try to keep it balanced with the accessories I use and such. You could also think up specific prompts, so maybe a creature outfit or an outfit you'd wear to a party and see what combinations you can rustle up!

To tldr:
They're two cowboys, one named Jackal and one called Lone
Jackal was just kinda homeless in a western town, and Lone was a bounty hunter who traveled a lot, and that's really just how they met lol

At the end of their lives, they ended each other after years of being good friends with each other. Jackal, as a spirit, buried their bodies next to each other and went on a walk for a few months, just exploring the towns they were at a lot, waiting for Lone to become a spirit too

I'm leaving out SO much info cause their story is really detailed but they reunite as spirits, after a while, Jackal leaves to become a Stand(you know that "demon possessing you" oc trope that was popular in gacha ocs? That's what it is), and he needs to leave Lone behind
At the end, they reunite and spend as long as they want to together as spirits until they're BOTH ready to move on

I’m personally okay with people AFKing as long as they bring their own burn prop, there’s a few in base game - like the one from Assembly Guide for 8 hearts or the ones from the Nesting workshop

Assembly lamp is 13 hearts and not many new players may have access to that tier. I use it at Geyser and when I’m solo, but yeah it’s not super accessible either. Not sure how much the 3 candles at Nesting are though.

It’s not so much the AFK that bothers me as much as it was a time to get to know other players when usually candle runs don’t leave time for it. It was also genius space building and great for creating community. I understand TGC is against AFK, but I always used it so I could chat with friends or make new ones. When it’s not working, it’s just as bad as Geyser but worse since the buns go under the table. Anyway I’ve left my feedback and will do so again. I’m a full time student and a grown adult. I don’t have time for this stuff on top of candle runs I can barely fit in.

Okay the little scone is 8 AC, idk how effective that is at burning the buns though, and the candle stack is 16 AC.

Honestly if everyone actually brings a burn prop and fills up all 8 spots then there shouldn’t be any issues with the buns & you can freely chat with other people. Big problem is that I know that there will still be people who don’t contribute even though there’s no chance of shared spaces

I haven't unlocked any burn props yet, and I've almost been playing a year; and now I don't have time to grind for them due to university.

Also, it is entirely impractical for TGC to be against afk farming, the only reason to be against it is out of sheer greed, people have lives outside of the game, it's meant to be a relaxing experience, not spent rushing around for candles at every corner. Quite contrary to the game's point would you not agree?

Long term longevity is a bigger priority, especially with all the collabs they are selling IAPs for, a bigger returning player base will sell more of these cosmetics for those who devote enough time to the game, hook the players through good design choices, and they will be forever loyal to your brand. You'd think TGC would take that information into consideration before making such blatantly anti-player design in favor of candle packs.

I will note with the burn prop idea that the scone is available in the workshop this week for 8 AC, which is just a few red shards or a not even complete Eden run (32 statues)

I made more friends in the shared space than the times I was there without one. We were all frantically trying to burn the orbs before the next round. Contrary to the key note, they’ve made candle runs more infuriating and time consuming than efficient and enjoyable.

Also if money is the issue, I had money set aside to buy Sky years ago because I thought it was a paid game. I’d also do a subscription where I don’t have to worry about dailies or FOMO if it meant both parties could be happy. It being F2P is how I started playing in the first place, but I’m an adult. I’d be willing to pay for a monthly subscription so we’re not all frantically trying to make up the costs. and I’m sure kids and students would feel more invested than the nightmare it feels like now with that added commitment. (Or offer a F2P version vs a sub that comes with the season pass)

TGC really isn’t evil or the “big bad” especially as far as games go, but there’s a lack of transparency and disregard for communication currently. I only began playing this year and they’ve already made enough changes to things that felt harmless to overall gameplay (camera trick, not hack those were obvious and I avoided them the ones of people warping to friends were more clear, and Grandma’s shared space) I also don’t enjoy how spirits have lost their eyes. The Isle spirit in Aviary also lost his work space in front of the shop. It’s just all so bizarre and I think we’d all like some transparency and openness to what the community wants/is capable of (the things I mentioned are things that should be celebrated, they helped others in empty or selfish servers)

I’ve been holding off until I’ve played Sky for a year to make a proper review, but I find the disconnect between the narrative (overall lore & social aspect) and the grinding (candle runs, daily lights and hearts, cosmetics) quite jarring. I love narrative games so using the grind aspect to justify the lore doesn’t add up. If we’re meant to candle run only, don’t restrict our way of doing so especially since most players are helpful. If the narrative is strong, why do we need to grind so much? Like why is the krill area so necessary? And there’s not even much wax there for narrative purposes so why even go if that’s why you play (mostly why I do)

That could be the quest hub, you meet the steampunk spirit guide in a pipeline constructed with brass, copper and gear/steam based mechanism in order to get to various areas throughout the place. And from there the guide would give you the quest to find the rest of her crew lost throughout the pipeline, stuck in different situations based on their respective personalities.

Mobile is more like- fumbling around with swiping until you learn the sequence that moves how you want it to, I usually just swipe up many times in quick or timed succession based on how long I want to prolong my upward movement, or flight in general.

just witnessed the most beautiful Sky moment 🥹 one player was practicing a beautiful piano piece in Aviary and several sky kids gathered around to listen. Then, after several repetitions, another sky kid sat down and played the next part of the melody back to the first player on their acoustic guitar. The first player was so excited someone else knew the song and then they began trading off playing the next part of the melody, pausing to let the other person fill in. It was so beautiful and wholesome and lovely

I'm a big believer in not grabbing a moths hand and forcibly dragging them through the game, so I let them be clumsy, and eventually they're less clumsy

Being dragged around not allowed to explore or do anything yourself does seem like a pretty boring first experience

There is at least a cheap burn prop in Nesting rn (8 ac), but it's still frustrating. Especially for new players who won't have a burn prop.
(It took a few days for me to actually get to Eden on my first run through, and I did not get 8 AC either, so moffs might not be able to do it unless they speedrun the start of the game)
