Okay so in game each light corresponds with an element. Blue being water, yellow being earth, turquoise/green being air, and red fire. The figures holding each of the lights resemble the elders of each realm in the game, minus the first and last one. The yellow one belongs to the daylight prairie, which can for the most part be spent on the ground with minimal flying. The blue light belongs to the Hidden Forest, the forest is constantly raining and has water puddles everywhere, its basically flooded. The green one belongs to the Valley of Triumph, which is a realm mostly consisting of flying, there even being a race for flight. The final one, red, belongs to the Golden Wasteland. In that realm, light aka fire is most important to players, as the water/ooze hurt the player and drain their light. There are also dragons and krabs that steal light, dragons stealing up to 8 winged lights at a time. Anyway now that the intro is out of the way, when reliving each spirits memory in the cavept1

You can see that there are two or more spirits from the regular common realms each corresponding to the given element. This makes me believe that the start of the whole world begins with the elements, and the spirits residing in the cave are the first settlers of the world, teaching the common spirits, making them belong to a constellation corresponding to what they were taught. The simplier figures, the ones who only have a head and a peopa pig bult body, represent the sky children, aka players. Players dont belong to a single realm and can travel to each realm to their own liking. Most likely represented by the mural of the child with each light surrounding them. Thus, sky children are capable of more. Spirits are confined and stuck to their single realm, only to be revisited by the player. And so, to my conclusion, the first settlers of the sky world stumbled upon spirits (who were at the time alive) and taught them each accordingly. Resulting in the split of realms, elements, and constellations.

Off topic, I’m not saying this is true or anything but its just something i found interesting to me. sometimes i think of the realms as a progression of civilization, in prairie it was mostly land and cave, the only time we see structure is with the shrines and the elevator place. In the forest there are more structures and buildings and paths. Valley ls more civil, structures being everywhere, and even sources of entertainment (races). Things maybe got out of hand and turned into the wasteland, i just speculate that because some of the wastelands structures resemble some if the valleys near the ends of the races. But i don’t expect this to be the case i just like imagining it
