idk of my last message sent, but here it is summarized: I believe the Eden king was a puppet, being controlled by some other dark force/being. maybe that being is from somewhere else, like the Underworld or something. they wanted to rule the Sky as well, and their people have been long-time enemies with the mega bird herself, which she keeps close, that secret. so while the being was moving the Eden king like a chess piece, nothing but a pawn—and how the being controlled him was with the mask. the mask made him not only tall, but it made the being have the ability to control him—no one knew what was coming. back then, there were sky kids and other civilians. many sky kids looked like us, while the other civilians were who we know today as spirits. they had diverse looks, bodies, sizes. one day, the being had the opportunity to strike, putting all of their evil plans into action. the people from the underworld bombed Sky, killing the civilians that are now spirits, killing the sky kids that are now statues in Eden, tempting us sky kids to get revenge only to kill us in the end, mantas we’re corrupted into krill, crabs were turned dark. and perhaps the krill arent mantas, maybe they came from the underworld; the being released those creatures, send them out like lighthouses to search for any danger—any light and destroy it. the being was using the king as a puppet, I think, to disguise themself against Mega. there’s more to my theory, hit me up if u wanna hear more 🙂

I think paint color might have more to do with location than meaning imo

like let’s say you’re an ancestor artist
and you’re asked to draw the crowning of the king of the kingdom
and you have to represent how perfect he is, make him seem like THE king
he’s a creature of light, after all, personally sent by the god of the world !
so, you include a dark creature cowering from his grandness
just as an extra way to say « hey, look at how cool the king is »
