Earth trial is about being resilient, which means, we have to recover quickly from difficulties. When we fall, we just don't have to keep raging about that and recover from it and focus on doing it correctly again instead. Or else we'll fail

Looking at the murals so far, I’ve noticed that there’s the same door drawing indicating that they’re connected directly to each other. I also saw that in the mural, that there’s a person drawn with horns similar to the isle elder and the mural depicts people being sent off in boats like in the mural in the vault. In the second mural it shows the trials, but everyone is lying down without a single person standing. Since there’s was no one drawn near the masks standing, I’m assuming they’re dead.
Based off everything give I think the elders pick some of their best warriors and send them through the trails and retrieve the stars themselves. The issue is that without their original light (since they fell instead of being sent down like the skykids) they’re much weaker and end up dying in the trials. Driven by their possible greed to gain lights they continually send people through the trials despite knowing that it will kill most if not all of them and would try to hide the truth from the rest of the kingdom to keep some false hope that they could still return to the stars.

Water emote: arm gestures like breathing in/out centering exercise for patience, but also like a turtle swimming

i think the "dead" people in the murals are either "bodies", vessels for the people that move through the trials, deposited for when we die and need to reappear, or they are really dead people, who failed the task and could not fall into new bodies of clay
I also think that the trials were never attempted by any of the spirits, for they traveled there as children and the mural depicting them dead would be wrong for they were alive as adults

I’m really confused now because I thought that the trials were suppose to prepare the cloud people to go on a Conquest of the other worlds, that’s what it seemed like first hand seeing as how all the isle spirits are named as pilgrims and settlers and such, but at the end of each trial so far, there’s also a winged light. Basically children who never learned any emotes and died before they ever could. At least that’s what I think they are, but then that would mean these trials are to save the various children across the clouds
But save them from what then? What happened to them

it does not actually make sense to draw a maze in XZ perspective(it will be a long rectangle with shading to denote depth) unless you are in first person, in which case the murals resemble the mind/viewpoint of the author. I am 99% sure this isn't the case though given the maze mural will always be the odd one out in this scenario whether it is drawn in XZ or all others are drawn in XZ

that's really dependent on environmental conditions: you can pick up a huge amount of speed on certain downward slopes, but there're also parts of the game where you gain incredible flight speed momentarily (e.g. boosting off one of the large mantas in village or one of the large jellyfish in ascent)

what's certain is that normal running is the slowest option, while jump-skipping covers distance more quickly -- sliding is faster than jump-skipping provided the slope is steep enough, while flying in general should always be faster than jump-skipping unless you're getting pushed back by the wind
also with the sliding race in valley: i think the optimal route actually involves a little bit of aerial movement along with sliding most of the way build speed; there're some sections where it's probably faster to launch yourself into the air rather than sliding (i find that one section after the large cavernous tunnel to be quite slow if you slide down it normally, so i actually prefer to use the ramp to launch over most of it with a flap in closed wing mode)
...not actually sure how this pertains to lore discussion, but was too interesting a question not to go in-depth on

problem is once you reach some drops that are beyond a certain height, the air resistance and landing actually slows you down significantly. since the majority of the sliding race is on a downhill slope, you have to start gliding immediately upon jumping off the platform, unfortunately when you fly, you always start in closed wing mode so just by that you are slowed down by a large margin
also I am fairly certain Sky's physics engine simulate air resistance and other factor on surfaces

AND What we think the biology of sky people would be? They seem like they're made from rock or clay which is a little off, and they don't really seem to have sexual dimorphism among their "genders" aside from hair and the female coded spirits wear longer robes..

And unfortunately there’s no solid answers to most of those questions so I can only answer in theories
So for the diamond in Eden (I assume you mean the big one in stormlock), most of us assume that that’s the cause of there being nobody left in sky
Basically whatever went wrong with it probably caused that fracture at the top, and in some way that caused all life in the sky kingdom to be eradicated
And then skykids came into being after that event (meaning that I think skykids as we know them weren’t around before the big apocalyptic event)
Now I’m going to venture even further into theory because there’s really no solid answers on the sexual dimorphism thing. Personally I think that skykids are golems, and the ancestors made our physical bodies out of clay before the apocalypse, which resulted in us not being eradicated since we did not have life at that point. I think that after that, we were given life by some other entity, possibly the megabird, possibly the child of light
So if we’re golems, it stands to reason that we don’t have many biological differences, because we would literally not be biological beings

It seems to imply that this is where the winged light scattered throughout the game came from; from all of these poor children stuck in Eden. But if they lost their light in Eden, then how did it end up scattered all around the other kingdoms? That seems like a pretty huge distance for it to go.

@queen locust OK soooo when we look at wasteland, its basically a battlefield, used during skirmishes between krill and Sky people. I think the krill wanted to get into the wasteland temple, and have been waiting dormant for the entrance to be open.
When they felt the shift in energy that allowed the temple door to open, the flocked which is why they head in that general direction

I feel like they were at one point a completely separate species, but once they were corrupted, they lost a lot of their cognitive ability, which would explain why they have a spot light for an eye, and why they are on a set track they rarely stray from when they move

that the krill rose from the waters because it detected filaments of darkstone energy eminating from the manta, its headpiece. you have to look at concept art to understand this one. but I do not think the manta headpiece is dettachable, or man-made

or it may be it detected it from us? hence the cutscene and the darkstone energy in us is too far from the krills to be detected in the temple area, but the emission from the darkstone trigger was enough to alert their attention?

a popular theory on the factions is that the people with the sun shield are the ones who are against the usage of sun diamonds, the diamonds are the ones for the usage of the diamonds.
the diamond faction is believed to be of the king's side, advocating for the use of diamonds.
this ties in with gw elder having both shields (seen in the temple and in the cutscene), it could be that he switched sides later on from the king. it's all just theories though

ah, about the elder leitmotif, i realised i was pretty inaccurate on some of the themes
but when i have time i'll check in on the leitmotifs in the cave,, in november
also it took me a while since i actually don't have many music sheets, but i realise music sheet 4 has the main leitmotif and music sheet 5(?) has the other main leitmotif afaik

I wasnt here for many seasons but I've done alot of research on em...im thinking they all give us a bit of backstory to the former state of the world's.[Before Edens corruption and Wastlands pollution and forests rainstorm] and when people were happy,and this seasons spirits are clearly teaching the spirits something!So what if when everything collapsed the seasons went into hiding and the seasonal areas shut down?As skykids explore the seasons reopen and stay there [Seeing as you can go back to seasonal places after the season ends]
