So when I’m at the “credits” I suppose after rebirthing, when I get to the bit where you fly and try to get the light from the spirits, I notice a few blue balls of light chasing me or just dancing around. Krill are canonically called dark dragons,meaning their made/a part of darkness,we also know that Krills are pretty young lore wise,we see no murals or warnings about the krill in wasteland,so it’s implied that the wasteland residents didn’t have time to prepare,further supported by the spirit cutscenes,the only people able to write warnings about them where the enchantment spirits,who survived because the krill didn’t hit anyone head on,instead destroying their boat,in the final wasteland cutscene we see that Krills emerged from behind the mountains because something triggered them,in this case the gate activating/being lit,this means that if anyone wanted to escape the Krills they had to move fast,and they obviously didn’t.krills also leak darkness bits,meaning that they,unlike the light creatures,they didn’t have time to properly form

The only reason that the vault is not yet taken over by darkness is that it has one of the highest concentrations of light
The eye of eden may also be a former vault of knowledge, taken over and transformed by the twisted darkness
The original forms of darkness are almost nonexistent in the eye of eden, but the highly dangerous and deadly forms are
