Alright so The_Dropman and Oz dicussed the interpretations in the perspective of christianity. I thought I would do an interpretation on polytheism, in particular buddhism (I am more familiar with the mahayana branch than other esoteric branches, though the buddhist schools in tibet is mainly derived from theravada branch, so it might not be entirely accurate). There are no gods in buddhism, but the ultimate goal of bodhisattva (any being on the path to buddhahood) is nirvana (I dont really know if there is word to define this in english, but essentially it is the full detachment of desires, greed and suffering). Why is this important, well I believe we and the ancestors are beings that have attained divyacakṣus, which is essentially a vision void of mental distractions and toxicants, in other words, a pure focus. At our chest lies a "crystal" which is always present in every costume (if anyone finds a counterexample let me know), this could be a reference to divyacakṣus, a pure focus.
When our fire is depleted, this crystal is still present though our mask is gone, just unlit. There are six realms of rebirth in buddhism, devas, asuras, manusya, tiryak, preta, and naraka. This could be correlated to the six realms in sky, devas are heavenly figures though they are not immortal and free from suffering correlates with prairies, asuras are demigods that fight against devas and possess mostly of fury, this characterizes valley as the tendencies of mock fighting of the valley elders signifies the aggression deep within. Manusya are humans, signified by understanding, curiosity and tranquility (this is the first realm where dhamma can be directly pursued), it is symbolic to the vault, our quest for knowledge and its preservation. Tiryak are animals and in some extent plants, dhamma can not be pursued in full because the lack of understanding, this is represented as the barren desserts in isle, void of essence. Pretas are hungry ghosts in many cultures, they are under constant suffering of hunger, this could be resembled by the hidden forest, for the rain drains the life of the living being and the land submerges under the clouds of darkness. Naraka are dwellers in hell in essence, they are in constant suffering but of all sources, there are no way to pursue dhamma directly as there is no way of doing right.
This is ultimately depicted as the golden wasteland. What is eden then if it is not naraka, well it might sound absurd at least, but eden is the dhamma. We, the sky children, are the remaining spirit of the king/prince placed in a vessel. For the king/prince fell into the three fires/roots moha (delusion, confusion), raga(greed, sensual attachment), and dvesha(aversion, hatred), thus detaching from the path to nirvana and entering the cycle of Saṃsāra, but consumed by temptations. We are the remaining spirits of the king/prince, it is only through attaining nirvana that we can free the king of ethereal malevolent and evil. There is a proverb that says this but I dont know how to translate it in english in chan buddhism. In essence, the light that awaits in eden is pure light, nirvana itself, we are reborn through ascension, a pure mind until the day we attain nirvana, for the spirits of the king/prince and elders ascend/return home.
You may interpret the realms differently, I dont even think I am completely right

There would only be an amount of light butterflies, and with the size and con(forgot the word) a huge portion of butterflies or light creatures would be needed for atleast one to survive, no less a sizeable one. They’d have to be on the move to maintain their structure as well as finding resources to help maintain it.

Most jellies are in a humid place (underground in forest) or directly above water, or in the water. So maybe they aren't there because the water is corrupted?

I think terrain would also have to play a role, since barren sandy areas wouldnt sustain a jelly structure

All came from light. Eden was like the center of light or something. The other elders took the light from eden to create their realms and stuff. Eden elder tried to make more light but uh darkness and they had to send the realms into the clouds. The elders thought they were safe but darkness spread and the realms fell. The skykid is living a previous life before the realms died h (Orbit is heaven)
The spirits were just villagers that fled to other realms

Okay so, when in the beginning you leave from first "Isle" elder with the flying boat and fly up to coulds and the tunnel you can see this big snake/ big whale/ dragonlike creature flying in the end of that tunnel. Any idea what is it and can it be seen in somewhere else?
