my theory is that the prince was corrupted by darkstone
he was at one point fully light, but that also means that he was unbalanced. If he could go to one extreme, he could go to the other. So, the darkstone basically turned him into a « child of darkness » aka corrupt king.

ooo, about those runes, they look the same as the ones in prairie. they're based on tibetan prayer wheels that will usually have mantras written on them. shaking/spinning the wheel is as good as saying the prayer out loud. in prairie, the bells summon creatures of light out of thin air when they spin like tibetan prayer wheels. perhaps the same thing was done in vault, but instead vault vault and the scholars said the prayers instead?

My theory is that winged light are scattered bits of the king's soul, so when he finally died a thousand years after the Eden explosion, his soul shattered and was spread across the realms. Some of those soul pieces also became the souls of skykids.

That's why skykids only appear long after the fall of the sky civilization

It also explains why the friend constellation is the king's crown, and why our names are so similar to the Child of Light
