I forgot which cut scene it was but there was one where it shows the "stars" falling from orbit. Which is the origin of those different realms. And eden fell last at the top of everything while the other six fell at its sides, so it does make sense.
So maybe the six realms just surround eden?
it WAS a volcano and eden was on top - volcanic soil is the most fertile kind, so i can absolutely see a magnificent garden being grown on top of one, if we fudge the science a little.
so then when the king Did A Bad the mountain... well, erupted, in some sense.
I really think having a map of Sky would really help out alot, ngl
i'm not entirely sure how this works, because i was also sort of vibing with the idea that vault was the volcano hollowed out
That wouldn't... Exactly make sense though.
Is there really a volcano in Sky tho?
that's just a Theory (tm)
but if you look at the screenshot you posted, it really does look like an erupting volcano, doesn't it?
It kinda does
constantly suspended in the moment it all went wrong
No, because it's shining like light. Lava wouldn't be as bright or shine like that.

i'm not talking literally.
I know. I'm just saying it doesn't fit.
Maybe its just a mountain
i'm saying it's evocative of one
look - i showed a sky screenshot to a friend who does not play sky and they were like "nice shot of that exploding volcano"
I'm gonna watch the beginning cutscene when you first start sky again, maybe get some clues.
so. i'm just putting things together for fun - volcanic soil being immensely fertile, that eden is on top of it, the whole idea of a volcano = looming catastrophic disaster
maybe vault being an empty magma channel, even though that is a bit unrealistic.
The face masks in season of enchantment were meant to encourage mask wearing for the initial COVID 19 outbreak in China.
It could be good source of light and energy too...just saying
I think its the storm
First one: the narrator is speaking in an "I" tone, presumably, the King.
He also is the one who cast away the Stars/Spirits.
"But Darkness blinds, so I cast them away."
The very first one, when you start sky. You can only watch it once, so I looked it up in YouTube.
i think that's the creation of the elders, maybe
i think that's the creation of the elders, maybe
@chilly kestrel
No. He's clearly casting them away. I can link the video to watch it if you want.
Secondly..
If the King is indeed speaking,
Then he created you.
"Wake up, my child. Bring the lost stars home."
you can still be loyal even if you're thrown away?
if the king created the child, that just makes me think that the sky kids are the prince
Presumably
At lastly...
As I watched it, it seemed like the Spirits were thriving before the Storm.
The King cast them away, yes
Ohhh
But
the darkness blinds one is from pre-live iirc
"If only they had listened."
It's at this point I think the King fell completely to Darkness, and created the Storm.
i'm intrigued by the idea of the king casting his court away because they got infected by darkness - that explains why you have to share your light with them, firstly, and secondly, why they guide you to eden. "save that idiot from himself. you're our only hope"
It makes sense that the king was the one who cast them away, because he is different from the other elders. He is the king, hence his name. His light is also differnt from the others so maybe he just went with them as a overall ruler?
Either way, this beginning cutscene holds a lot of answers.
Right now there's 2 theories it seems...
-
The King got taken over by Darkness, and cast away the Stars.
-
The Stars got taken over by Darkness, and the King cast them away.
Either one could fit. It's just a matter of explanation.
that's a very intriguing and sweet dynamic. the idea that all the elders still want to help their corrupted king...
or we could have both!
I think maybe they lost their untiy and so they parted their ways into the clouds
the darkness came for the stars and then the king
So then the king had to go with them, to keep their bond somewhat together
Probably trying to persuade them to turn away from Darkness
But as time went on the king was corrupted by darkness (for some reason) and so the other kingdoms were effected by that
And then the Storm
what i'm noticing from this shot (https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/632004389137154048/733455772482011156/Screenshot_2020-07-17-00-48-32-287_com.google.android.youtube.jpg?width=1443&height=666) is that the stars look like lesser verions of the king's halo.
which is why i think, in this instance, it's a depiction of the elders.
Yes they were once all together including the king.
Actually...
Hold on a moment.
"with the Stars United, our light was infinite."
And then it leads to the screenshot link posted above
So yes, it's a depiction of the Elders, and the King.
I wonder what darkness it was that made them fall, is it the same darkness that we see in the clouds? If so then that means the darkness originated from orbit and it soon followed the stars to the clouds
And so corruption existed before the ruin of those realms
And this cutscene.... It makes me think that Obrit is yet another Realm, that was ruled by the King and the Elders before their downfall. And when we go there, we get reborn because we aren't meant to stay. We are supposed to travel the realms looking for lost spirits, and return them home.
so, what i'm getting from this:
- unification
- darkness came - the king cast his stars/court away due to infection from darkness
- cloud kingdom with king still in eden
- still not strong enough to fight away darkness hence the "war" in wasteland. it wasn't enough to keep darkness away, though - weakness due to lack of unification
- the king "eats the apple" and corrupts eden
- time passes! (jeopardy music)
- that's your cue! you are born.
No, I don't think the King ever corrupted Eden.
Because he created us Sky-Kids. If he was corrupted, he wouldn't beg us to bring home the Stars/Spirits.
i track the last part, but am sketchy about the first part.
Well in this world things are reborn
So maybe the king was reborn
But he's not the same as before so his corruption didn't follow
No... I don't think so. Stars only live once. Sky-Kids were meant to be Reborn, everything else is living, a one life type of deal.
i'm reading the king "eating the apple" as shown in vault as a sacrifice for powe, maybe intended for the greater good. he did it before the darkness came for him.
and now he's existing outside of a logical construct.
Hmmm
i think the castle wouldn't be on top of the mountain if the king lived in eden XD
Well we technically all end up at the same place, the light. The light reforms things and brings them back to life. If we are reborn with the purpose of dying again then what happens to other living things (including stars)
it's in orbit now but the murals generally show it as on top of the mountain.
that's generally assumed to be him "eating the apple" - it's up near his mouth and he's in eden.
No... Eden being on top of the mountain is symbolism for your final destination, your final fight before the finish.
It's where it all began.
I am positive the King lived in Eden after their first downfall.
Before everything, I'm sure they lived in Obrit, with the King in absolute power.
Imagine if they made a prequel game explaining everything
Like that would happen...
Lol
it would be cool tho
Then this would be like fnaf, except less scary.
And less confusing and endlessly frustrating.

imagine a cutseen where your standing on a cliff and all you see is a cloud of darkness with krills leading the way
going with the themes from the game (relying on your friends), the king's story being isolation -> weakness -> last ditch sacrifice for power -> catastrophic consequences.
kou, that's a reoccuring theory!!
the idea is the king "ate the apple" and that caused him to no longer exist physically, just in fragments. the skykids are those fragments trying to atone for his actions
and no yikes here, that was excitement!
Well we are called children of the light. And at the beginning cutscene the narrator called us child. Idk where I'm going with this but I just thought to put it out there XD
so the skykid's story is an inverse of the king's. reaching out -> becoming stronger -> sacrifice for friends -> reward
however i like to think a skykid is still a separate entity from the king, i think. they might have some of his soul but none of his conciousness. don't ask me why, i just prefer the idea.
Yeah I think it was confirmed that the children are a different being from the elders and spirits
I'm thinking that the King was never corrupted.
I think that the Elders let in the Darkness, and the King tried to rally up the untainted warriors to fight the Krills (and whatever else).
"If only they had listened."
@round fossil
This explains a whole lot more. The Elder's being tainted explains why we need to give them light, and help the lost spirits, and even why the King created us.
On a side note: I like the idea of the King being split into pieces, as Sky-Kids tho (would explain the connection of the full-bodied Kingt to the Sky-Kids body).
That being said, the Sky-Kid has their own sentiant personality in each one. So they are not like the King. (Like the movie 9, if you've seen it).
Hage clarified that the devs haven’t actually said that skykids are separate from spirits, only elders
Unless something was brought up recently
Oh
that's what i was saying, kalor.
I was clarifying it.
the king was very close to getting corrupted and "ate the apple" before the darkness got to him.
But why is eden the most destroyed if the king wasn't corrupted?
Darkness basically consumed eden
i think his sacrifice ascended it
Hm
Ascended what?
the castle - give me a minute and i'll explain.
Oh ok
I think if we understand exactly what this darkness is then the fall of the stars would make more sense
Like is the darkness not literal darkness but more of a infection?
Hence why it can spread?
Idk
And the storm
Is that the darkness?
i think the king - whatever he did - that mural of him "eating the apple" was to ward off darkness, and it worked... sort of. yes, he did keep darkness away from him: at the cost of his life and kingdom. but it was relying on power and not on his court and people. (power corrupts har dee har har)
Is so then thats why there's so much krill at eden, it came from the storm, the "darkness"
Ah
also note the blue stones that can be charged with light... the red stones are like a really bad version of that.
Darkness basically consumed eden
@hushed steeple
That my friend, is where the crystal comes in I think. If the crystal is the source of the Elders and King's power, then as the Elders got corrupted, so did the Crystal. It's why we can't destroy it/why the game having a cutscene of it being destroyed doesn't exist.
Darkness is like evil. Evil can spread, but it is not an infection. Evil is a state of the being and thoughts. Evil can grow, spread, and manifest itself in different ways as long as it has a root. (That being the Crystal/Elders)
the red stones are an attempt to make a better blue stone, but it went wrong: it takes light and gives off none of its own.
If we purify the root, the darkness goes away.
Interesting
or perhaps it went right.
So in reality, us reviving the Sky-Kids in Eden, and them heading toward the Crystal, is most likely us purifying the Crystal, to be rid of the Darkness once and for all. And then we go to Orbit, and be reborn because replayability.

well, we can't purify the crystal
we can't heal it with light because they only take light and you can't fill them up.
Where does the crystals power come from where does IT come from?
we're saving the people we can
Orbit.
the liiiiiiiiiight
So if its power is light then we have to destroy it. Maybe
and skykids can't really destroy things... except darkness.
No. Because it's corrupted by Darkness. Darkness can be purified.
and the red crystal isn't exactly darkness, it's more like a black hole...
the more stuff you throw at a black hole, you're never going to fill it, just make it bigger.
same for the red crystals, i think: more light won't make it better.
if you replay eden, you'll notice there are smaller red crystals around, and that you can't purify them - there's nothing you can do, you just have to avoid them.
Yeah because they can take your light
Darkness is the absence of light so if the crystals power is light then it had to have consumed the light in eden and brought darkness
If there is one question that can be answered from the Devs besides what the heck is the storyline, it would be what exactly is the Eden Crystal

i honestly think orbit would be a lot more powerful if the storyline was less opaque
as it stands i was mostly like "oh. that's nice" when i did it as a moth
i could tell there was powerful and important stuff going on but it all went over my head
What if the king is the dark skykid at the end? 😶😶
Maybe the only thing left of the king is his spirit
Yeah. Orbit is made so you aren't there for hours trying to find every piece of Lore and candle wax as possible an hour, because it's just so you can get wings and be reborn. Nothing special to it except for us Lore Folk.
Oooh the one waiting for us to return ....
What if the king is the dark skykid at the end? 😶😶
@half viper
My dear friend, you just opened up a new can of worms all by itself.
omg
Let's please not stroll down that path of possibilities.
yeah maybe hes the last kid to be consumed of darkness so hes the first you see
I thought the sky kids were different from the elders?
And our job is to bring them home
The reall question is... Where the - do you go when you die, and why is that cutscene even a thing.
Like B r u h
You go to the light when you die
im also not sure what the conection is between the civilisation and the elders
The light is the source of life and the end of death
So that whole last cutscene after eden is what happens when things die
They go back to the light
And thus reincarnation
Even mantas can be reborn but maybe as something else
However the light isn't the home of the elders.
the idea that we're king fragments makes sense too, because then we're constantly going back to save the people we can
It's probably just their source of power
These theories are making me question my life choices of ever even reading this chat. At first it was a cool game, and now I'm obsessed with the Lore, just like I was with Journey.
The cycle never ends.... Why ThatGameCompany! Why do you make good games and stories!!!!
Every creature is made of light (except for evil stuff). And actually... I read a link in the pins, and it enforces the transformation/warp theory.
The post said that the C r a h b s movements immitate something, and what could it be? So do Krills immitate something? Are they both warped species? Or just C r a h b s? Are the Krills a separate species all together?

It's pin #4, scrolling down. Read the Doc.
Hmm I'll read that and give it a thought
The crabs movement apparently imitate bats.
No, I think it means from the game e.e
So I think that C r a h b s could be a warped version of a more peaceful creature.
It's just what is the question.
And if Krills are the same way.

So does that mean darkness creates life? Or does it just warp things?
As I said before, Darkness is able to spread and manifest itself in different ways as long as it has a root of power.
If we take this literally, it manifests itself as the dark plants (like in Forest). It can also warp things. It doesn't create life, it creates a physical form in it's image. It's not alive. It's just there.
Therefore the plants aren't truly plants, just Darkness changing it's shape into something like plants.
It explains why we can find it in weird areas.
Oh ok
Going off that, darkness cannot create, it can only warp. Krill being a warped whale maybe? Crabs I dunno
Crabs were probably just nicer before
Maybe crabs were mini jellyfish?
🤣 maybe the office has pre-darkness crabs?
Office isn't cannon tho, so not possible xd
I think there was a cave that showed crabs living peacefully with other living things
No, I don't remember there being a cave like that.
The drawings on the cave walls?
Yes
Ah ok
Here's another thought: Did the Elders create the boats? Or was that foreign technology? (Think invaders like Columbus brining ocean ships) would explain the large wreckages in wasteland
So forgotten Ark being the Elders culminating triumph over foreign tech?
It probably was foreign...
No I think its their people's technology, which lead to their downfall like it days in one of the pins
But then again. this kinda says otherwise.
Well they had boats the travel
yeah forest is the beginning of the tech, valley the apex, wastes the downfall
Even more so when you realize Season of Enchantment was restoring it by a spirit
And they collected light
yeah forest is the beginning of the tech, valley the apex, wastes the downfall
@steady geyser
But there are boats in Prarie bruv
You have to remember that these are civilizations too with advancing people
Even more so when you realize Season of Enchantment was restoring it by a spirit
They didn't really restore tho they just made a market
🤣
The elders didn't live with them they just watched over them ig
at the origin the isle elder was supposed the send you on a boat to prairie in the clouds
Yeah and the water isn't polluted
Boat, fully functional, in Prarie.
And there is more light and plants
I really hoped it would become a working ship again

So restored ruins is more Ike it
Okay so boat tech just advanced, in size and complexity
yeah kalor i'll try to find again where i saw this, but it was pretty much official lore in my memories
🤔🤔 Do any of the Elders.have capes? Or only spirits?
Only the spirits have capes
Only spirits it seems
the waste elder has a cape
he has?
Really!?
What if spirits and Elders are fundamentallyndifferent?
its damaged right?
And we the Skykids are the fusion of two worlds?
Hm...sometimes i wonder what exactly happened in wasteland tho...
Would explain why only wasteland elder had cape
The storm happened
i think the lore is they tried to exploit a new ressource and they polluted the land
its like those heroic cape stuff
Yeah i know but whats with the war zone
Unless you consider class-based society, and Wasteland elder was same class as spirits while the others were not
I remember there being a theory about some sort of civil war
Oh yes, another usefull peace of information I read from the canon Doc in pins...
- the castles are not where the Elders live. Just places that the Elders cared for.
- They were not the first beings to come to Sky.
- Elder cutscenes take place in a separate (almost) dimension, I guess a different pocket of space, but it still affects the world.
So just keep those things in mind.
Interesting
Similar to Greek mythos, Elders live in Olympis
Wasteland elder is demigod (like Hercules)
So he can have cape and fight
I remember they were given power from dark stone
I think he just has the cape to represent his heroic traits, he is a warrior
Spirits would be populace?
But our capes are different
Skykids is still an enigma
Sky-Kids were created by the King.
(See the beginning cutscene, when you first start Sky. [You have to YouTube it.])
Whether or not the Sky-Kid is shreds of the King or not is still being discussed.
Right but like what class of being are they?
I thought sky kids were created by the light?
Nope.
That's why we're called children of the light
Well technically yes, I guess, if maybe the King used the Light's powers to make them.
Oh
But the King ultimately made the Sky-Kid, just using the Light to do so.
the kids are meant to bring stars back home (sky)
No, Sky isn't home.
Sky is the realms you play through.
Home, I am pretty sure, is Orbit.
what home is this here pls
So home is the orbit where the stars came from
yeah mb
Yes
I forgot how cool the intro was
Same
Think like Mother Earth concept
Yeah i think so too
She sent us (Children of Light) to restore the light
btw this intro presents stars as united in the past, who then fell and created homes (their realms), as if elders were stars? im a bit confused i guess
Yeah thats why we're called children of the light, the king isn't the light he's just a head ruler of the elders
Oooh yeah good point
Ohh
It conflates elders and stars it seems
Yeah
Woaaaah
It lists the stars/winged light as connections
That is very cool
So what if they aren't really physical object, but representation of people's connections, and we need to bring them back to the light
Paralleling the need to restore people's connections to the light/earth etc
we're the sacrifices O-O
Wow makes even more sense that light is connection when you realize that the darkness is isolation, or corruption
Yeah it even shows that isolation is connected to corruption
In that same website
but idk what the big skeletons are in graveyard
they are so big
bigger than whales
and those creatures had big eyes
what whales dont have
Hmm
Wow even shows that the darkstone was what granted the Ancestors technology? But it was corruption
What if krill are just advanced guardians gone wrong?
The Ancestors attempt to bio-engineer the whales to be faster and better?
That may be old data tho
Since most tech we see runs on light not dark stone
Ok so what was with the story about the forgotten ark?
But it may be a restoration process?
Where they had six different light orbs and one person tried to steal one
from the ark murals, there was lightning and a krill, im assuming that it was struck in the storm and/or krilled
I think Ark is not cause but maybe attempt to save some ancestors during storm happenings, the fall etc
I'm not sure what you mean
what is storm btw?
I'll visit the Ark later... And take photos of the murals, and post them here.
Omgsh that link has some amazing wing configurations!!😮😮😍😍
Ikr!
indeed
this work is amazing
i lost myself on this website a lot of times
its pure pleasure
Imma look at the ark murals
There is a historical timeline!! 😮😮😶😶
Ahh ok some old data
It does sound interesting
Timeline mentions prince and Elders were the.ones corrupted not the King
Wooooooowwww so much in there
I'll visit the Ark later... And take photos of the murals, and post them here.
@round fossil I have the photos of murals
I'm not too much into lore, but I took photos of them before
Wait there's 15 photos
Part 1
At some point today I will stop guessing lore and actually do my candle run.

But...
I need....
Answers.....

People in lore channel be like
The pictures depict four winged mantas
I'm literally about to get up and get me some coffee at 9:00 pm at night.
Just because of t h i s
Could enchantment and sanctuary be connected somehow
Cause I see four winged mantas which are only found in the new area
Everything is part of lore if its in the main game
Sure but that's because its office
Season of sanctuary seems more independent from the lore

Places like sanctuary and enchanement are far places from Eden so they have their own little stories I assume
Maybe.
an escape from daily civilization
:V
The events of Eden sorry
You dont see Eden from enchantment and sanctuary aswell
Enchanement could be because its in wasteland but you can't see the Eden from sanctuary
Maybe they just forgot it?
Can we talk about the big ship in the Wasteland without wings for a moment? How the heck did it get into the middle of a desert? Was the Wasteland at one point a huge sea with islands and a castle?
Really tho if you check behind the clouds its just a vast ocean
well it came from the sea right?
But where it came from is the question.
on the left and right there is sea, corrupted and polluted
I assumed it was a ocean in some time
it came from where they extracted the darkness
There aren't any other boats like it. It's a unique element, and built differntly. So... What was it's purpose?
Oh yea it could be shipping from the factories
C r a h b

and the spirit is called captain btw, i like this name
Well, there are golden jars(?) In it. So if there's any other area with golden jars(?) In it, that's probably where it came from, and would answer this question. And opens up another question... We know the regular jars(?) In Prarie held light (see the canon Doc in pins) so what do these golden ones do, or had done?
Could be the extract from the factories
They're also open and coming out from the ship which would suggest the content in it is what contaminated the ocean
maybe where the power of the tech is coming from / stocked
I don't see any type of weaponry on the ship tho
hmm i dont know but there a re a ton of them
I feel like these jars(?) Might answer a few questions. I don't think I've seen them anywhere else in Sky tho, so idk what their purpose is, or could be. Has anyone seen them anywhere else in Sky at all? Or something like it?
yeah
in temples
the forest one as well as the broken one in GW (first krill)
it seems part of the mechanism of the temple
A dark stone processor

I heard here that the forest temple is actually a dark stone factory and the first krill place is similar
I don't remember there being Golden Jars in the forest temple tho...
Is that....true
Is that on insta?
Them golden jars in forest temple @round fossil
Is that on insta?
@hushed steeple they have instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts
yeah thats their official insta
i thought they were things used to press diamonds
All I know is they are golden jars 👁👁
i thought they were things used to press diamonds
I thought that was the spinny thing on top
btw nyom nyom your first pic is beautiful
Thank you!
the press probably needed a top and a bottom to form a diamond shape
its so grey behind it i love it
They already shared a post about valley from their Twitter account
Oooo interesting
before it broke off from the lower platform
maybe it would be sending light?
So now we know that the ship probably came and went from Forest to Wasteland with the Golden Jars(?).
But why forest?
Hm

because, that golden thing ... might not be a jar?
read my recent messages for my two cents
That's why I'm saying Jar(?) Bc we don't know if it's an actual Jar.
^
They are diamond shaped.
i think it might not be coming from forest kalor
i thought it was a mold of some sort
they use the same tech, and the temples are even the same
i thought it was a mold of some sort
Ooooo ^^
my theory: the raw material was placed inside the lower jar - like thing and then raised up to the top, both would begin to rotate and heat up, refining and molding the diamond into its shape, and when the process was over, the bottom piece would lower and bam! you have a power diamond
I mean, surely there is a reason to why the inside is the exact shape of a small power diamond
I need to candle run now.
But dang guys, y'all are making these theories impressive. It's hard to stop asking questions with this community 🤣
my motto is never stop asking questions
you're right ri

I'll see if I can find anything else weird or unusaul on my run, and post it here. See what you guys come up with next :3
(right after I grab some coffee.)
i love sky because of how open the lore is. it leaves you questioning and wanting more. it’ll all be revealed someday, but the fact that tgc allows for theories and whatnot is amazing
Maybe you put diamonds in them to make them work
im jelly, coffee makes me sick
Has anyone seen this before? I saw it beeping from the distance and came to check it out. It also is grabbable
Looks like one of the ark lights after losing its color
maybe something from an older season? im not sure as i joined during enchantment
(that candle count be do looking hawt)
Nope. Not familiar with me.
have you tried grabbing it?
maybe its the invisible boat?
used to give you a candle
idk much about the invisible boat
there is one quest similar to it in the forest temple
no the invisible boat has candles on it
oh i remember those! there is also one in the prairie cave!
the invisible boat is located under the first bel, closest to the caves
you have to find the light fragments, but they vanish quickly
to the invisible boat-mobileeeee!
its an old quest from the very beginning of live
to trigger the quest, sit next to the ring on the circle "manta" rock
ahh on the constellation-like platforms right?
where the birds fly from to go to the temple once the bells are lit
ye
in forest temple, look on the right for a little door, there is a grey square in front of it. sitting there triggers a quest too
finding the lights? it used to give you a portion of candle
oh valley? i dont know this one
there is a circle platform in front of the ded bird in citadel, if you sit on it you can hear meditation bells
ohhh truee
it used to be the old manta voice quest before being replaced by the manta voice spirit
i like the leftover bits from beta as tribute for beta players
i like finding them
~~though i was really hopeful at first that they were some lore things
~~
if you don't have any lore then make your own lore!
yeah thats kinda ktjn's msg haha
do you know if there is any qiest like those we mentionned, in GW or vault?
ive heard there is one in wasteland but i have yet to find it
oh iirc the gold pots in vault first floor were for beta quests
yes but idk how to trigger the quest
i mean the one in forest is really hidden, you can't find it by acident, might be the same in GW and vault
although prairie and valley have constellation stones
i mean the one in forest is really hidden, you can't find it by acident, might be the same in GW and vault
Maybe that's why it's called "hidden forest"
I'm sorry
the way i find them is i watch old walkthroughs, find the place and try to recreate how they activated the quest
Has anyone seen this before? I saw it beeping from the distance and came to check it out. It also is grabbable
Looks like one of the ark lights after losing its color
@wicked egret this is a creature quest from beta
So yes, it's a depiction of the Elders, and the King.
@round fossil @cinder bough it’s canon that the 6 falling stars from orbit in the intro are the elders, but as we see a 7th star emerge from the clouds and not fall we think that humanoid figures in the middle might not be the eden elder? We’re not sure; I personally think it’s representative of the megabird
the red stones are an attempt to make a better blue stone, but it went wrong: it takes light and gives off none of its own.
@chilly kestrel I think the red stones are broken pieces of the eden megadiamond/darkstone probably which used to be blue before it broke
Why would the megabird be represented by a huminoud figure tho?
here's my take- it's a similar way with god-like figures. Nobody knows what they look like, but they exist.
The seventh star was the elder of eden. Thats who remain in the clouds
I don’t think it broke, I think they tried to upgrade it and it worked a little too well
I believe there are multiple levels of gods- sky kids, spirits, elders, and the 'god' god
The megabird is just an idea of the source of life (the light)
“It soaks up so much light! This is the perfect energy- oh goodness. Oh no”
From what I've read
like a guide! Kinda like how mantas kidnap you in daylight
with the red stone thing- I saw a video from beta that had kindof the same blue as the structure in ||orbit.|| it looked almost exactly the same- but just with diff. colors and apparently, it was a glitch
i mean the one in forest is really hidden, you can't find it by acident, might be the same in GW and vault
@steady geyser I found the forest one by accident hahaha
I don’t think it broke, I think they tried to upgrade it and it worked a little too well
@chilly kestrel it’s definitely broken, if you get close to it you can see it’s shattered
or maybe it got so corrupt (when you get a lot of something, a thing can turn greedy)
Here’s a video of it up close https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/703977843075579966
I am back from candle hunting...
And I have one question.
How come nobody asketh about thine egg.

i think it’s just a fun easter egg
There was an old beta quest to find the eagle nest in the hidden forest
so like the oob in prairie temple that was an old beta connector to forest, I guarantee this is just something they never removed
Ok but no for real, the eggs can't be a thing xd
Ngl, I was kinda joking for that one
So most of you all probably know this, but in the area with the first spirit, under the walkway, you can find some murals. The mural itself is pretty interesting, I think it relates to the layout of Sky (like a general map, sorta).
It basically shows, (like, 99% positive on this one) Eden and the land below it. And then a forest surrounding it. So maybe the forest surrounds the Realms past it?
(dw, I'm not blocking anything important.)
I wanna know what you guys think about how this mural relates to Sky, and it's layout. And what you think those buildings are in the Mural.
im p sure that temple is the forest temple
I also think it’s the forest temple, it shows them taking the boats from praire filled with light to the temple/factory
Mhm
What if the rain on forest actually regens light but because of corruption it drains the light instead?
That would actually be an interesting thought.
Aren't we missing something?
I mean where are those structures beside the forest temple as shown in the mural?
Well the kingdoms are now ruins so Im pretty sure those structures are just destroyed.
They use to be civilization
If you guys think this one is forest temple then I'm not agree with you guys
Is is tho? We see it in other murals
See the intro mural forest temple is just one building
Forest temple
Ohh you're right
I never noticed
I'm thinking that one is forest temple
But why is it surrounded by tall trees?
So let's say its not the forest temple, then maybe its the wasteland temple? Considering the order of the kingdoms we see and also the structure.
It looks more like the broken building before the wasteland temple
I forgot what that one looked like
But does that mean that the wasteland was once surrounded by tall trees?
We're really missing something big
That structure couldn't be forest temple
Whats your theory?
Was it a factory?
Just thought it looks kinda same
I'm now clueless¯_(ツ)_/¯
Whats this above?
(I really should remember these buildings)
It's in sunny forest
But it can't be any factory/temple
This is so smol comparing with the building in mural
But looks built in same design
Similar
But why would it be floating high above the actual land?
Wouldn't that be considered Eden?
I dont think so
Eden is not like that
Scroll up I've posted a pic from intro
The big temple we see in the mural can't be forest temple
I'm pretty sure now
Then if that's the forest temple, then what building could that bigger one be.....
That's where i stucked
Well let's see. There are 3 possibilities here.
If we consider the fact that the Temple is floating above the land, the bigger structure could be either
- The Prarie Temple
- The Isle Temple
- A whole different area besides Sky altogether (not likely)
It could also be of a different temple from a different realm, but it wouldn't fit like that.... Unless it was a map, and that's how Sky was made. Maybe the Realms aren't actually "in order." We explore them, but we actually don't know for sure the exact layout and location of each Realm.
(except for Eden and Vault. The Vault being located below Eden)
It can't be prairie and isle temple tho
That's more like wasteland temple (but it doesn't make sense that wasteland is before forest temple)
No... It doesn't.
Maybe they did some remodeling to forest temple lol
Wasteland temple lookes too tall
But similar tho
I need to go wasteland now
isnt the tall one vault? since you ascend it
The middle section looks taller than the mural under the bridge thing
It's cool
Hmm
Agree
It does look like wasteland temple. But that one in the pic doesn't have the two smaller buildings next to it. So could it still be the wasteland temple?

Well there's one building before wasteland temple
I don't have pic
I need to go now
Wasteland

I know home glitch
Alr so let's say the structure in the mural isn't wasteland temple... What could it be then? And why would the forest temple be above it?
It just doesn't make sense that that would be there like that, without a reason. Even if it was wasteland temple, why is forest above it.
Also... I do want to point out the boats with the jugs in them in the Mural. Prarie, and Valley both had jugs. (Valley just in one area. The semi-secret tunnel in the Elders vision room)
Guys...
I just think its the entrance to the forest kingdom
It looks similar and the rest is hidden in the clouds
It still bugs me though. It doesn't seem right.
Not the best picture but if you look for yourself and fly up there its similar
Which would explain why the top building looks like the forest temple, maybe its just up ahead in the distance (from the entrance)
It still just doesn't sit right.
Why?
Tomorrow’s sky anni post is about wasteland oh boy
There's something about it that just seems off. Why would the entrance be huge, but the temple itself just a small figure above it?
Shouldn't the temple be larger, the main thing? Why would anyone put emphasis on an entrance?
It doesn't fit...
Well the entrance can still be important
But why.
And maybe the top building isn't the temple
The entrance might be important because its a welcome?
Talking about entrance if guys have noticed all entrance of each realms are more like exit to the realm
(Don't include social place)
I did feel that way a bit with each realm (except if course, Wasteland.)
That's directly in front of Wastelands temple tho. But I could picture a whole building looking like that before the Storm happened.
It's too confusing
I just think its the entrance to the forest kingdom
@hushed steeple that's the prairie temple

I do just have to appreciate the fact that the devs just slapped something in here like this, and everyone just be assuming it's forest. Like, this story is more confusing than a pretzel rn, and I need sleep xd
But I also need answers....
Lol ... Good night
Sneep
I will figure this out. Eventually.
so what's a good start to getting into the lore?
@hollow orbit look at the pins there's some confirmed lore in there and some concepts that help
And if you don't understand something then ask here :)
Also @hushed steeple what is that in the picture?
INTENSE SCREAMING
Also what is that in the picture?
@hushed steeple read previous msgs and see the pic carefully
This is the back of the praire temple
do any of you know if there's any significance to the accessory shrine is usually more "decorated" than the other cosmetics shrine?
I stand corrected; the big building more closely matches the wasteland temple icon-my memory failed me
The left painting is Isle, prairie and forest temple, from bottom to top.
isle isn’t in those paintings
In which case all three of these are forest factories (the forest temple is just a factory)
it’s (from bottom to top, left then right)
Prairie, Forest, Valley
GW, Vault, Eden
Or it could just be something insignificant, the valley concept arts do show that the kingdom does indeed have residencies.
Yeah these were once civilizations
Even if each kingdom had their roles
there were people living there
I stand corrected; the big building more closely matches the wasteland temple icon-my memory failed me
@hollow pier but hage it's really odd to agree that wasteland building is in forest
Maybe the mural isn't accurate?
Well the wasteland couldn't have always been so empty, maybe there were trees, but idk
I’m not saying that the wasteland factory is in forest, I’m saying it resembles the silhouette of the wasteland temple/factory
What I think we’re being shown here is that in forest there’s multiple diamond factories (forest temple design) that surround a wasteland style factory (wasteland temple design)
Also the temple in wasteland has a significant shape at the top
@hushed steeple that’s a king statue!
It is?
I think the building before the wasteland temple is more similar to the structure in the mural
Which was the picture I asked earlier right?
Ye
Oh ok
Maybe that structure is a gate?
What I think we’re being shown here is that in forest there’s multiple diamond factories (forest temple design) that surround a wasteland style factory (wasteland temple design)
This makes a lot of sense actually, because we know there’s diamond factories in wasteland, and also in forest MAYBE WASTELAND USED TO BE A FOREST BUT THEY CUT DOWN ALL THE TREESah but then there’d be stumps like we have around the forest factory hmm
Now this reminding me about that confusion ""wasteland was once forest""
I think the building before the wasteland temple is more similar to the structure in the mural
@hushed steeple True! But since the mural depicts a building surrounded by forest style factories and we can’t visit this building perhaps it’s built the same style as wasteland temple but without the king statues
:O
Ok ... Guys I'm thinking something
Let's go backwards from wasteland temple
This building and after this there's a broken factory in graveyard is in little high
Same like the mural
A factory high above from that structure
Kinda similar
Hmmm
I'm confused now lol imma journey to wasteland and look around
Maybe with enough thinking we can recreate wasteland before it was ruined.
so then it'll just be the golden land with no waste lol
- what even is the golden part of the wasteland
every time i go there i get stressed lmao so i lovingly call it trashland ❤️
Well, the broken temple in wasteland is exactly the same as the forest temple
Well now it is
bc it's so dark and awful 😭
im blaming it on the crabs'
For piping stuff
oo there's the shipwreck there too right? maybe pirates with gold 🧐
I guess
trash i guess?
bc it used to be a big temple city right? but now it's a ~wasteland~ with no actual waste
The shipwreck section of wasteland is incredibly low.
Maybe the sea level was higher back then.
What if wasteland was a floating city?
oo maybe
And then the water levels dropped and everything got buried under the sand.
Kinda unlikely with the catapult in graveyard
If the sea level was higher, it would be submerged
shipwreck -> battlefield -> graveyard
Anyone has a pic of broken factory?
therefore wasteland i guess
maybe later ill go examine all the terrain and see if i can find any other cool things
once the sky twt acct posts GW for the 7 days of sky we'll know more i guess
I don’t think that mural is depicting GW
Note the archway with the point on top, that’s not something I can find any trace of in wasteland
At the very bottom
Idk I just don’t logically see them being wasteland, all the murals in other realms seem to depict what happened specifically in those realms
Yeah, i see trees in that mural
Well they were saying that the mural may depict GW before it turned into a wasteland, that it had trees before the factory stuff started
that mural screenshot was taken in the forest right? so it's probably the forest
I decided to look around wasteland and found that those pillars look like a bridge
The first area of wasteland has those too
Probably forming a square or grid
Before it broke down
Perhaps the pillars were parts of bridges for the workers?
Why are they carrying butterfly jars though
mass production and capitalism even in sky 😔
It's for making powered diamond
this is starting to sound a lot more like Journey
Grammar 101
So either that mural depicts butterflies brought from prairie to forest, or wasteland bringing a heck ton of butterflies for no apparent reason
Is journey like the beginning or another part of it?
They were producing diamonds in both realms probably
Journey has no part in sky in terms of the story
The same machine in forest temple can be found destroyed in GW
Y e s
There’s one, another to the right of where ur standing
It used to be visible easily but now u have to fly to the oil water and go up to the fog
Jay what do you think about that forest mural..?
What's that structure?
But point is, wasteland was used for industry as well as forest
Only this time, they took it too far
...
That's the wasteland temple
It is?
Maybe it’s the easy way out but I think the mural is just inaccurate when it comes to the exact details. It does also show factories built on top of the clouds/trees, which we can’t see in any realm
Maybe those murals predate the structures we see.
Grandfathers of the ancestor spirits.
Before everything screwed up
It could be depicting sometime between the beginning of civilization to eden.
Speaking of eden, I wonder what it looked like before its fall
Pretty sure it was built with the pipes
In the orbit cutscene literally everything gets obliterated
except for that palace
Everything else gets destroyed
Even the vault.
In the beginning of the cutscene you can see the vault shrine collapsing.
pic 1: is this prairie elder’s old mask ?
pic 2: this pattern on the front looks like a simplified megaborb
Pic 3-5: all the docks have this symbol, the one that represented the stars in the beginning cutscene. any idea what they might be ?
The stars are the symbol for the elders I think
Because that’s what I thought they represent in the intro when the ‘stars fall’
And then their progress can be tracked with the isle murals
yeh but why are they there
Spirits finding them when they fall
Then transporting them
So maybe they’re there because the elders were on the boats?
Interestingly that same symbol is also what represents the instrument cosmetics
(Which is also the only cosmetic with a gold podium, which is consistent everywhere except orbit)

Yeah lol, it’s used for a lot of stuff which kind of confuses what it actually means
@lethal stump ans of pic 1
Yes that's prairie elder mask
In vault mural he's wearing the mask (in drawing)
Hi i would like to ask
Is this called lore discussion lol
I want to discuss this so much
POEMS
POEMS
SKYSHOP HAS POEMS
YEAH
Hmm I wonder what sky kid normal height to a normal human...
Probably the size of a child...
Am I right?
What if they’re six feet tall...
I think i remember someone saying they were around 4 feet tall
This has been discussed before but i dun remember if its correct
I want to discuss this so much
@outer pollen the text at the top of the posters is canon, each realm represents a stage of life, but besides that, the whole thing is jus a poster of concept art
There's a pinned msg somewhere about skykids height in real life
The poetry in the sky shop has some nice lore in it, especially the two elder pins
ELDER OF THE ISLE PIN
Dawn breaks with stars fallen,
Ferries stir to distant calls.
Shepherd us home back upwards,
A herald awakes to heed us all.
“Dear Children, no hope was lost,
We saw of your return to us.”
The Elder opens up the skies,
And together again, we fly.
ELDER OF THE PRAIRIE PIN
Fields of harvest, prairies of joy.
Farmer and fauna as one.
The Elder protects the creatures of light,
For darkened days to come.
Fly up, fly away,
For the Children of Light in need.
We shall recall our days of wonder,
And feel its air once more.

all skyshop poems (will be updated as things are added)
also skykids are between 2’7 and 3’10 iirc

2’3 is smallest
3’10 is tallest

The last thing I expected
I know, crazy days
as a literature student i am very pleased
prairie was agriculture confirmed
The prairie elder one made me think, what if the pots are to protect the butterflies on their journey on the boats, rather than to just catch their light
.....these sets of poems are confirming so many theories I had so long ago
I want
MORE

you and I pin poem is giving me big « we’re actually the prince » vibes—
“You are me, I am you”
- screams *
of course theyd add lore in sky shop
they add lore EVERWHERE
Ancestors farmed butterflies
aksjshsgf
Ur profile pic is
Anyways, i made a collage of all the isle murals
So now that u brought it up

Vault looks like a big giant candle
so crisp!
I wanted ur guy’s thoughts on something
Whose guy's?
yknow, if you made an imgur album of all the murals, i can ask a mod to pin it so pll dont have to run back and forth for the murals lol
what the hell is imgur
img album maker
I'll take photos of all the murals first
basically where all of the imgs pinned in this channel is compiled in
if its not much of a trouble of course! you dont have to do it lol
carry on
ark
Ark
but yeah theres not much going on there overall mural-wise
Isle was the realm that seemed to be one of the first, and it is pretty obvious as u can see it is more primitive and doesn’t have much tech at all, no power diamonds no pipes or nothing
But it’s mural.....it’s showing all the realms including eden and vault, these are more towards the technology side and most likely created after isle since they have power diamonds and more industry. So if isle was so primitive and old, how did they know that these realms existed
i cant tell if the TGC pin poem is lore related or not
If it’s not I will scream in 10 different languages
May there be sunshine in your soul,
Let the starlight be your wings,
Our memories as one.
big lore vibes
The older Isle society may have still existed with the other kingdoms, just not progressed in technology and stayed a nomadic culture
True true
After all, the tech was corrupted anyway
Maybe they chose to stick with supporting the light, along with praire and that’s why they were still primitive
english scream: aaaa
french scream: áááá
scream in cursive
scream in bold
I think prairie may have been the start of the slippery slope to corruption and control of the light
Of course
Valley got the good parts of the power diamonds
isle: * cave man time *
prairie: oh wow look at these cool ways to farm now that we have diamonds :>
forest: aha now we have a mining industry and jobs for everyone !
valley: FLOATING CITIES COOL
wasteland: * literally just dies *
vault: * disappears under mysterious circumstances *
Seems like Valley is an offering Realm
i hope we get pins for the other elders
Valley was actually the celebration realm
valley ikeman pins gonna sell out f a s t
I still like the idea of wasteland actually being a floating city.
Yes it did hold residence both rich and poor
But it was also for the celebration, and there’s more details but.....they are from concepts and I think u guys won’t like that
Floating on water though
what spirit is the lightseekers cape from
So, back to the forest mural
?
i thought crab call was the one with sharp bits at the end ?
Seemed like a medic or someone carrying a dead body or both or she was reviving someone or IDK
Her story was confusing
If the mural is about wasteland, this means they either tried restoring wasteland with butterflies or the butterflies were industrialized.
If it's about forest
im collecting spirit names as they come
butterflies were likely turned into light for diamonds
I have a theory for the dark creature in the game 🙂
Did it confirm on what are the cause of the corruption or where did it came from?
Don't know yet.
No but it was confirmed the power diamonds were related to the downfall of the civilization
it’s likely the eden diamond ♦️ caused the corruption
Don’t forget the ppl who created it
Wasteland may be in it's current state because they industrialized butterflies too much leading to the absence of light in wasteland. Which probably allowed darkness to grow far beyond what it was capable of.
Idk where u got the idea that wasteland used the butterflies
Maybe Wasteland were like that cause it is much close to Eden??
There’s no pot delivery there
The krills and crabs are the real moths because they keep chasing us “children of light” so it could be that the dark creatures are fallen or corrupted skykids. They dont have wings unlike the other light creatures, so its possible their wings were taken from them?
Yes it has favorites and one that is related to the forest one
But no butterfly use in wasteland
Only forest
hMm
The mural, it’s about forest
alright
Aren’t there butterflies in GW?
No
Yeah
Just one lonely manta
