what is corrupt king
What if the because of the darkness expands, new and evolved creatures now on the Sky, the Sky kids will now learn how to use their light not just for lighting but for defending?
it would be nice
:0
dont we already do that
I am getting tired of being krilled
OKAY SO
There was a true ending that got cut out?
we are also literally immortal
@hushed steeple
We just reborn not really immortal
OKAY SO
There was a true ending that got cut out?
@hollow sinew what ?
im assuming whatever it was is caused by surviving the storm
I think so. The end of Eden used to be much different.
what is corrupt king
@hushed steeple King is, in theory, the Elder of Eden. We believe he was corrupted by darkness beiond saving during (or before) whatever happened in Eden
dont we already do that
@hushed steeple
Its different in defending yourself from dark creatures and darkness
I heard a theory in here that the Eden King died in the storm and that he got reborn in fragments as all of us
when do we see him
King basically did a whoopsie that made eden the way it is now
journey and sky are the same
when do we see him
@hushed steeple as elder? never
big cloak people do whoopsies
Hang on I have pictures for this.
and end up scarring the enviroment
there are statues of him around
so then small people have to journey to mountain
get reborn
and keep doing that
in ||orbit||
also small people can fly
Journey and sky is in the same universe?
i dont think so
i mean they're very similar in some aspects
also im pretty sure skykids have light at the center of their chest
and wayfarer peeps do as well
it might be because the concept art for the sky kids looked like the journey characters
they do
red robes in journey have it
and so do the white robes in visions
also, other similarity
you die and are resurrected and fly upwards to eventually get reborn
and get new bling in your next life
Skykids stuck in endless loop
These were from discussions with other people a while ago. Eden’s original planned ending and concept art of Eden’s diamond.
i wish the prince was still in eden * sobs *
Who are these praisers?
they look like vault people
woah that’s cool
hmm hold on
well, all the vault spirits are religious or scholarly, so vault was probably a lot like a church or monastery
if this is a feudal society
and since there’s a king i imagine there is
back in feudal times, religious sites (churches and such) doubled as places of learning about maths, science, etc.,
so maybe vault is holy to them
Maybe King>Vault>Isle>Forest>Waste>Valley>Prairie?
wdym ?
Their like ranking
Hey ! does someone know the name of the ||cat in the office|| ?
theres a ||cat inoffice||??
@quartz badge ||I believe its name is Mimi. It’s modeled after one of the devs’ cats just like Oreo being modeled after Jenova Chen’s real doggo
||
@lone isle Tbh, I thought these were wings.
@modern isle tyy so much

These were from discussions with other people a while ago. Eden’s original planned ending and concept art of Eden’s diamond.
@lone isle I wish they put this ending
I think in a way, they still kept the prince/king
Bc you do hug a glowy child before ascending
yes
In old concepts of course
The prince was supposed to save you from the king in the old concept
From what it looks like, the king was actually a really small child
Yeah
Like if you look closer you can see a child
In his crown
And then when his crown was cursed, he essentially became darkstone
What does it mean when it’s said his crown was cursed?
I’m a little sad the idea got scrapped- I love the concept behind battling a corrupt king
I hope we get to actually see him in the future, outside of the statues in GW
I feel like maybe the king is indeed that glowy child we hug before ascent
Bc the devs said the king is still around
Just not how we would expect
There are a few theories as to his whereabouts
Some say that the skykids themselves are the King, just split up into multiple beings
May I pitch in kind of a random thought of a theory?
Sure!
Sure go ahead
My theory is that the corruption of Eden and the pesumed fall of the King "humbled" him and he's one of the elder spirits we see. Either GW or Vault one. Or he like doesn't remember who he was/is or smthn
Hmm
whos got a theory on this?
I don’t think he’s one of the elders bc in the original plot, the king bestowed powers upon the elders
They were like individuals
I’m not sure
yeah but why is the prince trapped in the king?
I just thought that would be an interesting "not as we expect" theory
maybe
Or became the red diamond
yeah but why is the prince trapped in the king?
@normal berry the prince wasnt trapped in the king, it was you in the old story
the large power diamond?
Yeah
ooo That makes sense I think
Bc that way you’d still be battling the king in a way
And the prince would still be helping you out
That actually makes a lot of sense
ye
i like that in the old concept the "king" looks like a giant mech suit for the prince
cause yknow... you can see him in the crown
I feel like TGC will reveal the story in the future
Oh yeah that probably will
I feel like there might be a season on Eden
Like the final season
Maybe the last season
Yes
And remember
This isn’t going to be the only game
Sky CoTL is the first chapter
imo the eden diamond is simply a overloaded giant power diamond
Yeah so maybe Sky is like introducing Sky kids to what happened
i wonder if the eden elder = prince/king or are they a separate character
Sky CoTL is the first chapter
@sinful gull Wait, it is?
Like the next game/chapter would be about fixing it
@sinful gull Wait, it is?
@vague adder yep
:0 i didn't know that
ooh cool
wonder if the next chapter will be a separate app
👁👁
hope i get to keep my cosmetics
or maybe if it stays in the same app, you can access the next chapter after doing Eden. but seperate app may be better lol
im with you Ri lol
If i loose my precious season of enchantment cosmetics ill cry
hmm
Since this was is an introductory stage to the kingdom of sky
maybe it will be about restoring Eden or finding a way to restore the darkness to light?
Hmm that may be true
I’m pretty sure TGC has said that they want to incorporate more lore into the game with the next season’s
I think this season is like a beach episode before the plot and lore kicks in again
So maybe the seasons are kind of like chapters
I feel like if there was a second game about restoring the light, it would have to be more like a really long quest
More similar to journey I guess
agree
Don’t we all
I would seriously pay for an Eden season though
Like one that reveals more lore
Maybe even add like a new area before the entrance to Eden
Agree! Eden/Krill season? 🤔
I want a big long cape like the King concept art tbh
Maybe it could have some lore about how krill came to be
Long capes and krill capes would be perfect for an eden season
Krill is s h r i m p
Shrimp cape
S h r i m p cape
XDDD
Imagine if krill in Sky were colored like shrimp
that goes on the wishlist channel
They’d be a lot less intimidating
ok, now I wanna ask a question
I want a skeleton krill cape, that would be killer
I want a skeleton krill cape, that would be killer
@wooden reef I’m pretty sure krill are basically already skeletons
instead of a cape its krill legs, ik that's the opposite of the point of a cape but it would look so cool
@wooden reef I’m pretty sure krill are basically already skeletons
@lost hull
lmaooo yeah I guess 😭😭😭
Krills don’t have skeletons
you people ever noticed the ground level of vault has 5 groups of 3 shelves + the halway that conects the elevator to the common area, totaling 6 recesses?
and i think every constelation is projected towards one of the 5 groups
I want a skeleton krill cape, that would be killer
@wooden reef
You had the chance to say kriller but you didn't and I am upset
There also isn’t a single constellation for vault itself
In the whole elevator sequence
haha I’ve noticed that. they stuff in so many little details
just at the cutscene
@wooden reef
You had the chance to say kriller but you didn't and I am upset
@median terrace
nooo omg I cant forgive myself
I feel like vault itself isn’t really a “level” per say
I think it’s like a preparatory level that serves as a research base on how to make diamond production more efficient

Oh hello reika
hellooo
My sister and I think the Vault is more like a reminisce area..
Because it brings you through the different maps before you "die" In Eden
Reika before you get out of the wall can you pull me in? Discord OOB is not somewhere I have been
My sister and I think the Vault is more like a reminisce area..
Because it brings you through the different maps before you "die" In Eden
@median terrace yeah I think it’s similar to that
Like the top level in Vault is actually supposed to be a record of what Eden was like
There are theories it is mostly or completely a dream
Since you can see the top of the mountain with altars in Eden too
And you can see the Eden castle surrounding you in that final level
I feel like the whole concept of vault is knowledge, so I agree w the idea that it's going through more memories of the other areas n stuff
So like life flashing before your eyes thing?
I just wish there was a lil bit more lore we could access in vault?
I feel like the whole concept of vault is knowledge, so I agree w the idea that it's going through more memories of the other areas n stuff
@wooden reef
When someone quotes your thoughts better than you do
There is that one spirit called a “memory whisperer”
but I feel the building structure doesn't actualy work it that is the case, so I think maybe we climb up the elevator, but allucinating from the 3rd level on
There is that one spirit called a “memory whisperer”
@lost hull
That one creeps me out. Straight up
Maybe vault just kept records of everything that was going on
Maybe vault just kept records of everything that was going on
@lost hull
Maybeeee
Everything the past children have encountered?
it was built by the spirits
But isn't it us children that adventure?
for the spirts as well for the size of it
I would agree, but there’s also the vault constellation in the cutscene after you meditate
That shows the vault elder using mantas to create diamonds
So I wouldn’t say it was built just for Sky kids
But isn't it us children that adventure?
@median terrace yes, and since we are unsupervised kids, we don't know how Vault works, so we just make a mess out of it and enjoy the pretty lights
@median terrace yes, and since we are unsupervised kids, we don't know how Vault works, so we just make a mess out of it and enjoy the pretty lights
@mortal viper
Pretty lights 🤣🤣🤣
I mean, most of Vault doesn't realy make any sense
but it's pretty with pretty lights
For me it looks like we turned on too many memmory projectors
One thing that got to me in the game (which I still don't understand)
Is how our little candlelight affect the Elders
Isle Grandpa
Prairie Uncle
Mama Forest
The Twins
Father Wasteland
And Grandmother Vault
For me it looks like we turned on too many memmory projectors
@mortal viper yes it does look like that
Except they start to glitch out or stop working effectively the higher you go up
For me it looks like we turned on too many memmory projectors
@mortal viper
Strengthening the reminiscence rooom
Probably due to the Eden explosion
I find it interesting that the library features start fading around the Forest level
that is why there is skelletons floting, trees that shine, floating temples and a light waterfall
Which level is that?
Considering Forest is where the diamonds were first developed
It’s the 3rd level
With the glowing trees
O yeah
Oki
Thank youuu
Which level is that?
@median terrace I mixed them together
O
trees are on third
skelletons on 5th
floating temples on 3rd and 4th
and light waterfall on 4th as well
One thing that got to me in the game (which I still don't understand)
Is how our little candlelight affect the Elders
Isle Grandpa
Prairie Uncle
Mama Forest
The Twins
Father Wasteland
And Grandmother Vault
Pls help me with this
This has been on my mind for so long
6th is representing Eden
@lost hull
How?
It's... Too peaceful
And effectively after completing the constellation, brings them home
@lost hull
How?
It's... Too peaceful
@median terrace well there is the peak of the Eden mountain with the shrines and all
And you can see the Eden castle surrounding you on the final vault level
Additionally it has very similar music
I
Pls help me with this
This has been on my mind for so long
@median terrace ok so there's beep's idea and i think the light we give kinda restores the elders to a non-broken state bc like how the sky kid goes dark when the wl runs out, i think something happened to the Elders when Eden corrupted
that would be after the cutscene, when you wake up. I would say it is the 7th level
My mind is runniiiiiiiiing
the 6th is the one with the shrines
beep’s idea
@lost hull sorry ;v; my mind went 100000 mph and i can only type at 0.0000001 mph
No I’m saying the 6th one is representative of what Eden was like
@lost hull sorry ;v; my mind went 100000 mph and i can only type at 0.0000001 mph
@vague adder it’s fine my dude I’m trying to process like 6 diff people talking
Of course a lot of information was destroyed due to the explosion
Or maybe the elders wanting to hide what they did 👀
What if it was both???? 👀👀👀

So the only thing that’s left was the ascent
Nothing can corrupt on its own like that
What if the elders did something and messed Eden up?
That is suggested in the opening cutscene
Like the elders didn’t listen to someone’s advice
I didn't watch it > That is suggested in the opening cutscene
@lost hull
Yes.
And ended up disconnecting from the light due to the Eden explosion
I think the Eden explosion triggered a wave of darkness
That lasted a really long time and caused the elders to essentially lose their power
I didn't watch it > That is suggested in the opening cutscene
@lost hull
@median terrace I think you can find it somewhere on YouTube
I think the Eden explosion triggered a wave of darkness
@lost hull
The vault is literally under Eden..
Yet how was Wasteland the worst affected?
@lost hull
The vault is literally under Eden..
Yet how was Wasteland the worst affected?
@median terrace probably bc there’s pipes leading from Eden to wasteland
Not going through vault
Eden could have been corrupted by the king
So the dark matter that started in Eden pumped through to wasteland
Maybe because the vault being under Eden, it didn't get affected as much, because of the underground protection.
Wasteland is out in the open, no blast resistance at all. Plus, pipes.
Like the elders didn’t listen to someone’s advice
@lost hull
What if that someone was the king?
@lost hull
What if that someone was the king?
@median terrace could very well be
Huh
That makes sense
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was
Did he know what was gonna happen?
Kwjxjdnw
I love dis
This game is a lot darker than I thought it was
I think the first time you experience it, you’re seeing it through a child’s eyes
that being said, bro, what are the krills then.
I think the first time you experience it, you’re seeing it through a child’s eyes
@lost hull
L i t e r a l l y
Since it can be seen that dark matter sprouts up around diamonds
Yep yep
that being said, bro, what are the krills then.
@round fossil I think they’re creatures of darkness that were born from the storm in Eden
Actually
I think krill are born from storms in general
Considering the one in the forgotten ark
Considering the one in the forgotten ark
@lost hull
You mean there was a storm where the Ark was?
Huh
I was wondering what those things were
Interesting. Ngl, I was thinking that if the darkness destroyed stuff, and made the dark plants, couldn't the darkness also... I think the right word is warp? Couldn't it also warp creatures? Just saying, the krills could've been giant Manta, before the storm. (Like the one on the second to last floor of the Vault)
Oof
Bai dude
It was awesome talking to you
Interesting. Ngl, I was thinking that if the darkness destroyed stuff, and made the dark plants, couldn't the darkness also... I think the right word is warp? Couldn't it also warp creatures? Just saying, the krills could've been giant Manta, before the storm.
@round fossil
Then that one scene in golden wasteland involves cannibalism
👀
But don't those plants just sprout out of nowhere?
Like.. They don't seem to be connected to anything in particular
True.
But the plants you burn. And they are called Dark Plants, as well as the krill being called Dark Dragons. And before the Storm, the Wasteland was most likely something more majestic, no plant in sight. Your job is to get rid of the darkness, and that is why you burn plants.
That being said, they could have sprouted from nowhere, but they would still have to come from the storm.
(How'd you do that underlining thing btw)
That does make sense
It's _ (two of those) on each side of the text.
maybe dark plants came from krill debris
And speaking of warp.. It kind of seems stretched that those mantas turn into dark dragons...
Ooo
OOOOOOOOOOOOO
AWESOME
I mean, it doesn't make that much of a stretch. Like, if the storm made dark plants, and spreads darkness, it wouldn't be that much of a guess to say that giant mantas turned into krill, because of the storm, and it's darkness. Thinngs warp and change all of the time in movies and video games.
If it wasn't that, then we are basically talking interdimentional travel between two worlds.
👀
I feel like the krill were definitely born from the storm
And the portal closed after letting in a storm, krill, and dark plants.
Are y’all ready for the forest doc today
yes
Yeah... But if you look at those warps
Those warps are sensible
Plants warp into deadlier plants
Dove warps into Raven
But a giant Manta ray into a shrimp with a red eye? It seems a little off
Yeah but the places that dark plants pop up don’t seem very suitable for plants in general
For one
The forest temple floor
I think crabs were around but weren’t corrupt until the storm
@lost hull
Yeah, they seem too tiny to be actual predators
Which has literally no grass and a whole lot of water
They also seem to appear around dead things but
They appear in other random places as well
Weirdly enough, they grow in some spirit memories as well
Yeah but the places that dark plants pop up don’t seem very suitable for plants in general
@lost hull
The hidden room in the Valley Temple
No water
No other plants
a bunch of those pesky Krebs
It’s more of a storage room
Well then the storage room
I think that the spirits we see lived after the storm
Why is the storage so hidden?
So they had to deal with dark plants too
I don’t think it’s hidden
I feel like the spirits died way later on
Like the storm took a toll on them
I don’t think it’s hidden
@sly kestrel
Okay
It kinda is
U don’t have to ping me if my message is directly above yrs
no
Wait a minute
Why would some spirits be around after the storm
Like did they survive it?
According to the beginning of Sky, when first going to the Isle, the Elder spirits "fell." Most likely these spirits are part of their constilations, (considering the constilations at Home) and we have to rescue them from being trapped by the darkness. In return, they teach us how to express ourselves to others.
Or did they just come around later
On that note, these spirits fell with the Elders.
And that's why they are there where they are.
Yeah but it seems like there were two time periods before us Sky kids
Like the first was where the elders were active and alive, before the storm happened
The second was where the spirits were still around
After the storm
And they seemed to try and carry out normal business
Or at least look for light
Such as the light miners in forest and the butterfly farmers in prairie
In my idea, that would be explained lime this:
Before the storm, each spirit did their own thing in the realms. Such as the butterfly farmer, and the Light Miners. When the storm occured, the Elder Spirits and the normal ones both got trapped. When we rescue a normal spirit, they show their thanks by teaching us expressions they used when they worked. (Ofc, this isn't the case with Seasonal Spirits. These can be explained later.)
That would fit with why they are there, and why we have to experience their memories. It even says it, they are memories. Memories before the storm, most likely.
Seasonal Spirits are story spirits, that visit the realms, to explore like normal. They were either created by Elder spirits (if they can do that) after the storm, or they were like normal spirits and got trapped, and other Sky-Kids freed them. (Not us, like, just story-based Sky-Kids.
Hmm that might make sense
The reason why I was thinking there might be a second wave of spirits is bc of the black cape spirit and the scout spirit in wasteland
The black cape spirit encountered a krill
Which would mean they were alive at least during the storm
And the scout was either alive during the war, or was scouting for krill
It would still fit.
Because if it was scouting for Krill, it could've gotten trapped during that time.
Just because they fell, doesn't mean they were trapped right away. Ofc, they wouldn't have had that many days of freedom. A week, at most, considering everything.
That’s true and very plausible
I wonder why we’re only able to meet a few spirits from each realm
Like considering the sheer amount of spirits that were previously living in the sky kingdom
You’d think there would be many more to save
Instead of a select few
That's true.
Let's say there are a minimum of 100 Sky-Kids. Having 100 of them explore only 6 realms wouldn't be hard. 1 Sky-Kid against 100 would have even less chances of encountering the amount of spirits that we do already.
So it's explainable that we only encounter those select few spirits.
That’s true
It just seems off to me
Something that might explain it
Is that all of the spirits we meet have a dark core
We can only relive their memories by using our own flame to burn their core
Maybe these spirits were eventually taken over by darkness and collapsed into a dark core
Similar to maybe a dead star
And then we light them up again, with our candle. So they live.
It’s almost 5 and we still haven’t got our forest doc
Hello, each spirit is a part of constellation of elders. Does the seasonal spirits work the same? Do they also embody a constellations of unknown elders?
@hushed steeple
Considering the fact that the Seasonal Spirits have their own Constilations (as shown in Home)... No. They do not have an Elder, however they do make up their own Constilations. My guess is that they were made from the existing Elders, to be put into their own Constilations. So technically, an Elder could have multiple Constilations, if this is correct.
But hey, that's just a theory. A game theory!
(Jk, I just had too, I'm sorry
)
Forest doc?
@hushed steeple tgc is releasing some concept arts and small texts about the different worlds in Sky as a celebration to the game’s 1 year anniversary.
Today will be about hidden forest
Talking about the forest, I found a different boat model by the tunnel with crabs
Maybe an escape boat or a recreation boat?
I’ve seen a lot more like that in other realms
Possibly food or water?
I call it
The box boat
XD
This is the first one I found
All the others have that swan neck tail behind them
I’ve seen em in eden, wasteland, isle and possibly praire too
Can y’all imagine what new content and bug fixes we woulda had if we weren’t in lockdown 😔
Maybe the boats were to travel from realm to realm before the portal. I mean... Just look at the boat in Golden Wasteland to get to the Sunken Ship area. It flies. So, other flying boats that crash landed because of the Storm throughout the realm is very possible.

The boats existed before the elders got sent down, and I think the first use we see for them is to transport the elders
So yes I think they probably were used to get from realm to realm
At the very least they facilitated air travel of some kind for the spirits/whoever those human figures are
i love reading lores from this channel
I just want to know what happens if you actually reach the crystal qwq

Mhm, I know you have to die but it's like being on a cliff hanger
I'm lore deprived
Oh, I didn't know there was a wind wall
I like to think that, in lore, if a sky kid were to reach the crystal, they would instantly die
Is like, you can try to avoid death but it will come eventually no matter what
What would we even do if we reached it
@hushed steeple
At one point I did reach it on a trash run of Eden. (Like, no point in me doing it).
There is a wind wall. Sad tho 😔
I really wanted to see what would happen if I did reach it
Just a bundle of dissapointment apperenlty
However...
Aah that's sad qwq
After we die in Eden, and all the statues shatter, and turn into Sky-Kids, they go toward the crystal. (Including us.) And then we go into Orbit. That being said, it's like the crystals energy revives us or something.
well i have a lot of ascended candles so when i die in eden i just sit there and perish
Maybe the crystal is the portal to orbit?
So it obviously serves some sort of purpose between Orbit and us.
Like a portal, yeah.
It's not pointless, the point is to save as many others as you can before you die yourself. Sacrificing yourself to help others and then being rewarded in your next life (in terms of ascended candles and wing buffs)
@stark marten
I meant that it's pointless for everyone to go to Eden, not the saving the kids part qwq
makes sense why we would never reach if while alive
no i dont think so, you die beforehand right? i think its the heart of eden, like the main power source that corrupts the land and the weather and what broke the land into the sky
oh yeah
I wish we could reach it 🔶
like the king of eden got power hungry and decided to overdrive the power which ended up in his demise
♦️
No..
Cuz if it was the power source that corrupted the land, then why would the revived Sky-Kids go towards it, instead of away?
Wouldn't they just die again?
Wait, don't they fly above the crystal?
i always imagined the cutscene to be an awakening in our consciousness i guess or in heaven
No
they could have been trying to disable the crystal or people who lived in the city during the destruction
you can see houses or shops or something if you look more towards the sides in the destruction
yes, but couldn't the diamond be absorbing light instead of putting it out?
But wouldn't there be a cutscenes showing that then? Instead it skips straight toward Orbit.
I think it's a power source too, and they try to disable it because someone corrupted it
Or purify it
qwq
I hope that we'll get more lore about it soon
I mean, our player touches the column of light, but never the diamond itself. who knows we could be drained and reduced a statue if we could touch it
Isn't there a crack on the crystal too?
and the little diamonds we use to open doors take light to power things

But why would a column of light come from a dark and evil source. Let alone transporting us to what is basically heaven to revive.
it could be attracting light from others and taking it as its own, like absorbing it and becoming stronger and swelling up
what at some point could have been a small crystal could have gone out of hand
It’s 7 and still no forest doc 😔
It just doesn't add up that way tho. If it did, it would have at least shown a cutscene of the crystal being destroyed/"turned to normal". This theory just doesn't add up.
Plus, the Sky-Kids wouldn't even be heading toward the crystal.
Instead they are, then skip to Orbit.
its quite possible that we cannot fix the eden diamond
It doesn't make sense that way.
okay the idea for sky is birth life and death, you birth in isle and become old and die in eden. its supposed to represent the cycle of life of someone and ones thoughts
also, if the eden diamond were fixed a major point of playing the game would be taken out
who knows what those statues were doing there, they could've tried and failed to fix/stop the diamond. that dosen't matter though because all you are there to do is free them
isle is supposed to represent the birth, prairie represents naivety and freeness, forest represents around the teen stage: sadness or more of a depression, maybe anxiety?unless thats wasteland, valley is late teens: rebellious and competitive, wasteland is maybe more of an adult phase, vault is elders: serene, calm, coming together and acceptance, eden is the death: accepting your fate and rebirthing
I think the statues are, as we might call them... Dead Children of the Light.
Those stars we pick up to expand our cape wedges? They are the "spirits" of those Statue Sky-Kids. By giving them their light back, they are revived. In turn, they take themselves, and our spirit, back into Orbit to be reborn again.
Those statues were Sky-Kids, before the Storm. They got turned into Statues because they lost their light.
(but that's just a theory, it totally could be completely off . _.)
hello ! anyone has a story or an idea about the ||ghost in the office stairs||
It’s not canon
But it’s said that the tgc office is haunted
And the ghost represents that
[scrolls up] so the Eden diamond cant be destroyed? hhh
i guess a self-comforting fact is a theory that it is not meant to be destroyed. perhaps the civilization depended on it so much that to destroy it is worse than keeping it running
(that parallels a lot w real world)
Again... Why would it be destroyed in the first place if it's the gateway to Orbit...
That's destroyed or that's corrupted
@rotund cipher some real princess Mononoke vibes on that second one woahhhhhh and the mask too
One of the mods (not devs) pointed out this looks like a distorted version of Eden that we’re not supposed to see because it’s oob; this makes me feel
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/630920855211343872/641882637673168896/image0.png
I made an emoji version of it when I thought it was the megabirb (it’s white+transparent background so you can’t see it unless you post with transparency)
Oh is that the symbol for Eden?
Oh I see what you mean
Hang on a tick lemme pull something up in that case
Did someone call the fun police??
@hollow pier yeah. If you fly up in that OOB, you can see clearer that it is Eden.
Does that kind of also resemble the symbol that some people a couple days back found behind the statues before going into orbit?
This one (image credit bluespirit), I’ll see if I can find the image they had of the statue itself
This thingy?
Nah, I can’t seem to find it owing to my internet being awful today and preventing me from searching anything, but I think there’s kind of a resemblance there?
I do remember that the statues were somewhere when you’re flying through the kingdoms after you die in Eden
Uhh like the statues that fall just before you reach orbit?
The ones that look like the statues at the top of the vault?
The statues in orbit don’t have the back piece because they are up against pillars. They are fantastic though!

This is the statue in Eden with the thing on its back.
that's an incredibly high angle
Boon how can you fly so high in storm lock
Piggyback rocket. It breaks really fast though so you gotta fly and snap your photos quickly.
Ah fair
I never tried that
The statues in orbit don’t have the back piece because they are up against pillars. They are fantastic though!
One of them has
Oooh does it? Need to explore more then.
Here boon^^
would piggyback spiral work better there, or are the rocks a problem on the way up?
Using rocket is little tricky cuz you've to capture pic very quickly
^ or you can just record yourself, and rewind & pause the footage
Oh look!! You’re right! Wait, that looks like the statue I’m on in my photo. Will revisit my pics. 🙂
You need to get up there fast, a piggy spiral would probably take too long and you’ll get knocked out by the rocks.
Good photo!!
Thank you
It’s a nice touch that the head falls off that statue as you approach it.
i'm amazed you guys can notice so much in that part of eden when i'm running around like a headless chicken trying to survive
You can see it’s intact in my aerial shot and gone in your photo.
Yes and once it fell 10 times for me
Cuz I went backwards and then again forwards
Lol!
can you actually see it falling/reattaching itself?
I’ve not seen/noticed it reattaching though. Will play with that next time.
the sky kids are literal time travellers
As far as I was aware, once it’s down it’s down.
Maybe it’s a fancy decorative shield or something? The thing on its back
Maybe... Or maybe it's their cape
it felt a bit like a harp to me from some angles, but i don't think that's what it actually is
could it be mimicking the shape of wings, if not a cape?
Maybe
This was shared in the gnomon livestream.
I think it’s worth discussing since the shape does seem to resemble that OOB Eden pic from before
Or maybe that’s just me trying too hard to see things where there arent any
the shape itself kind of makes me think of crossed swords at a glance, but i don't think that's likely given that the statue doesn't look like a warrior of any kind
They are more like from vault
I wish Mirian could pop in here with some of her photos right now. She’s got some amazing photos of these statues from old beta.
i also wonder if all those statues are depicting the same elder, or whether it's just a role held by multiple people over time
it seems distinct enough to recognise as a specific character, but also dressed in enough of a uniform that it could just be a designated role of some kind
For me personally, they have a ceremonial knight type vibe. Lining the passageway to somewhere really special.
Anyone noticed this
i see a tower with a diamond pattern on it, but i'm not sure what to make of it
Yeah there’s one of these in the social space at the start of Eden too. Not a great photo but...
I also captured from there boon
Yeah! It’s amazing the stuff you notice if you explore!
off topic but i found more king propaganda
King propaganda is everywhere
indeed
im thinking of turning it into a scavenger hunt game
ill find all the king propaganda i can in the 6 realms (eden not included, it’s literally his castle skskdjdj) and then assign you guys to find it and the winner gets like 10 hearts of something
it sounds like it would be fun
king??
This is in orbit too...
hang on a minute...so is the king's real body the entirety of the black robe and the diamond thing at the top, or is he more like a sky kid piloting a giant mech suit where the cockpit is in the diamond head?
personally i think he’s a mech for the prince
or maybe they put that silhouette there just to show the scale, but the image just made me think of that suddenly
however that would mean he’d have to be literally the size of the statues in battlefield
i flew up to the top and was perfect size to « fit » in the mask
first thought at boon's screenshot: "the king went bald"
Yeah because back in beta you would be assigned to red or blue team and you had to catch as many light fragments as you could so your team would win. Your cape would literally change into a red or blue cape at the start of the races.
But...... Here, one race has red ones and the other has Blue ones.
Earlier one side of the gate was Blue team and the other was red team. And I guess the winning teams flag appeared at the stadium back then...
Idk clearly cause I wasn't in early beta 👀
Yep! You’re right!
They should change the flags now?
I think it’s a nice little nod to the past.
Dk maybe has something to do with lores too now
Since one race is focused on red colour while the other race on blue
Earlier there were both red and blue teams in both the races I guess
It can also be a beta leftover like the prairie quests
this makes me think that the valley twins were forced to fight in something—
the dual swords reminds me of their dual hockey sticks
Those swords are from battlefield
It's little odd that you can find swords and sunshield together in that room
Cuz in battlefield those are used by two separate groups
The diamond shield group used sword
Wait
Nvm I lost track
Hold up
Big brain moment
Yeah ur right, diamond used swords and sun used spears
someone suggested it could be a trophy room, though i'd expect fallen weapons as trophies to be damaged rather than pristine -- i think it's more a sign they were unified at one point?
Yeah ur right, diamond used swords and sun used spears
@sly kestrel
What if there were two like Sun and Moon nations or something?
What if its a war between the King and Megabird? King is the Moon and Megabird is the Sun?
But the light may be Megabird's weapon
The Megabird use Light and The King use Darkness
The theory was that the suns were the ones that supported the light and saw that the corrupted kingdom and their new tech was all wrong, their power diamonds were wrong and had to be stopped, so a rebellion was made and they used an original ancient symbol on their shield to represent the light
And the wasteland elder was seen switching sides to the sun shields bc he knew it was wrong and had enough courage to step against the king
Megabird didn’t have much to do with it
But I’m going by a theory that was helped made by a lot of ppl
Me, granny pigeon I think, hage jiisama, skymii and some others I don’t remember
The new question is, how does the new season for into the lore? Vacation islands? There's dark plants growing and the bell tower is decayed, so I'm assuming it fell apart
I am ready for vacation bruh
Not now sky brah
The diamond shield group used sword
@hushed steeple
diamond used swords and sun used spears
@sly kestrel both types of shields can be found with both types of weapons
The theory was that the suns were the ones that supported the light and saw that the corrupted kingdom and their new tech was all wrong, their power diamonds were wrong and had to be stopped, so a rebellion was made and they used an original ancient symbol on their shield to represent the light
And the wasteland elder was seen switching sides to the sun shields bc he knew it was wrong and had enough courage to step against the king
@sly kestrel
What if the King has good intention to show that his side which is darkness has a good side too, but got neglected instead?
Then the elders saw the goodness within but the Megabird didnt liked it and that's why the Megabird said "They were consume with darkness" so the Megabird sent the Elders down to stop the King but instead of stopping the King the Elders help him instead, but due to conflict between Dark and Light the corruption errupted and destroyed the Elders and Corrupt the King.
I just noticed recently but any idea why these king statues in wastelands have what looks like a power diamond in the crown? Several of them have it though it doesn’t seem activated
the ones in battlefield were like that in beta
????
Season of Darkness, where we now solve the good within the darkness.
Why the wasteland temple is different from the shipwreck exit and battlefield area
The picture is not very clear😔
From shipwreck there is a large circle at the top and
I'm sorry if it bothers you guys that I interrupt those interesting theories but a month or two ago, I noticed this blue light in Prairie's Sky
This is most likely Orbit (well I think it is)
Several weeks later, me and two other friends flew on top of the Ark and saw the moon
More or less the same blue
I was thinking that maybe Orbit is both the sun and the moon?
What do you think?
Also this two screenshots with a halo of light and a big orb
That looks like a moon
The orb you can see in orbit that's more like sun
Hmm maybe
And moon never appears in prairie
Because that's in daylight
I mean most likely at noon time
night time starts from wasteland
And ends after storm lock area in eden
Check the old names of all realm
Morning, daylight,rain,sunset,dusk,night,storm,orbit
The kingdom of Sky is in Orbit... around the sun and the moon
Just a random thought
hhhh so much messages time to get popcorn just got off an 8 hour flight bless
also it is possible to see the moon in day time irl at least
also it is possible to see the moon in day time irl at least
@gray bridge Yup
It appears very pale tho
Game is not the real life
oh yes true
i like to think that the ball thingie in the sky is the light ball in orbit
Yeah this is most likely the case
About the timid bookworm, does books also appears anywhere in sky or its the first time that it appears?
this is the first time
everywhere but wasteland, these patterns have the king propaganda upside up, but here it’s upside down. maybe a hint at a rebellion ?
The real question is.... Who the heck is cheering for you during the races in Valley

the ost
Maybe the cheering is a memory?
memory a la ancestor spirits ? or memory as in our character remembers it ?
I was thinking like a memory of the stadium
Similar to how we return the memory of the bells in sanctuary
Thousands of spirit's memories
That would pretty much explain the cheering. A memory. It's an interesting thought though. If that was a memory, couldn't that be applied to a lot of other things too?

elder cutscenes are memories
the cheering could be the same case as those creepy voices in eden
Perhaps the candles too? Somehow the candles never run down. If we are only collecting a memory of light rather than lighting the candle, it would make sense
and the singing in orbit
But how would a memory of light give us wax, and in the end, a full candle.
memory candle
idk how can we ride memories in vault ?
Technichally what we get is a "fragment of light", which would be a memory from a candle
Since a candle only converts wax to light, maybe full candles are just a bunch of candle memories mixed together
another possibility is that if we’re the prince/king maybe we’re remembering things from our past life
Fragment of light is also one kind of memory fragments

Spirits are probably whomever got stuck in their memories.
Sometimes they are memories of fun. Sometimes they are memories of hurt. No matter why they got stuck, they need a little help to move forward. So we start with the earworm method.
You stop earworms by reaching the end of the song
from the twitter posts the game before completion is.... Feels much more deep and more beautiful just from the concept arts and realms sub lvls. The ideas they had before is much more interesting.
Honestly, I can see why a lot got scrapped.
While I would absolutely enjoy playing Light Awaits, Children of the Light does have a lot going for it
Probably because it was too much to work with.
Making the seasons and the new areas probably is there way of making up for that lost content.
the one we have now is very friendly to all. Light story not too deep and dark. Very little to work with.
Probably because it was too much to work with.
Making the seasons and the new areas probably is there way of making up for that lost content.
@round fossil yes
yeah there is not so much to work with in terms of lore but still this channel exists huhu
i'd prefer lore to be revealed slowly because as painful as it is to wait it's better than getting everything straight up
seeing forest was a maze makes me feel "I wish it was like that" forest elder was a much more dark trying to trap you sounds like a thrill.
Oh no pls don't make forest worse
You know what, I'm gonna do a full run of Sky, looking at each and every little detail and watching every cutscene to look for any answers/questions/pieces to a current puzzle.
I'll post what I (hopefully) find here, most likely in screenshots.
Because I am just too curious rn
I n e e d a n s w e r s

welcome to the rabbit hole that is sky lore
I know that hole. I've been in that hole with Journey. I've spent hours and days looking for pieces of the story, and I still haven't found all of the answers.
and weeks
Been reading through the whole king propaganda above and now I'm noticing that some of the spinning bells in the game are kinda shaped like the king (I'm sure someone has mentioned that already)
These ones are at the end of isle
Prairie
Ah, of courses battlefield. Pretty impressive statues they have here
The king and i
... Anyone else here thinking that reminds them a bit of krill
Like maybe the king's face can do the blinky blinky
Wasn't there a... What was that... Like a laser turret in one of the concept art? The king's head would make a fine laser turret
Couldn't get a good angle but here's diamond symbol on top of vault i think🤔
Does all this symbol represent king or it is something like coat of arms(im guessing this is what it's called in english) for sky world?
What if the krill are parts of the king, reflective of his high presence in his castle and the Wasteland, where his statues can be found?
Maybe the krill were the King's guard pets (guard krill?) before the corruption?
does anyone know what exactly happened in wasteland? and who were the elders? and where did they go and why?? 🤔
@round river buddy how can you go thru the wind wall
buddy how can you go thru the wind wall
@hushed steeple
Rocket trick :3
@round river yes that's the symbol of our king propaganda
@timid gulch here's a theory on what happened in wasteland
So like people of wasteland got divided into two groups.
One supported the idea of making power diamonds by sacrificing light creatures and the other group opposed it?
Seems so
Wait, hang on, I'm listed as a believer of this theory and I don't believe in it
My theory of battlefield is: I have no krilling idea

Hm, so the other day I was talking about a theory that the king is Eden, and at the time it was mostly tongue in cheek, but as I keep thinking about it I might’ve convinced myself that it’s a possibility
It’s very, very likely that I’m facing a textbook case of confirmation bias but everywhere I look seems to reaffirm that view
So I think I’m just gonna put together an actual theory and see how/where it’s flawed
Since I don’t know exactly what I’m trying to prove I’ll just say for now that the theory is based upon the king being, in some way, intrinsically linked to the huge power crystal in Eden, whether it be that he is that crystal, he’s inside it, or something else entirely
Essentially there’s three things that got me thinking about this from the canon lore document, in Ash’s hints
Firstly there’s this: “the king plays an active role in the story of sky but maybe not in the way you may think” - this is the obvious reason that I’m looking for something outside the box as it were, other than just ‘the king was there but he is dead now’
Secondly this part: “he's not there in the same way as the elders you see in the cutscenes are” - perhaps a stretch but it seems to infer that the king is either not a physical being like the elders, and/or he is present outside of the cutscenes. The best solution to this that I could think of was that he was related to Eden in some way, since that is present in nearly every realm and can be seen in the gameplay, outside of cutscenes.
Thirdly, this part: “he's just not there the same way as the spirits you see in the individual realms” - again perhaps a stretch, but I took this, especially the word individual, to be inferring that he is present in more than one realm. Again the most elegant solution I could find to this was that he is in some way linked to Eden’s physical makeup.
That’s the general basis for the theory anyway
Ash's hint reminds me the theory that says sky kids are king
There’s other evidence for me rejecting that bit and going with him being linked to the power stone as well
Although some of it is a bit iffy and therefore I’m not absolute on it lol
Since we are already on this topic...
I had nothing better to do yesterday but to count the number of weapons and shields in the battlefield. Let me get the numbers.
I'm currently collecting screenshots, and pieces of lore from each realm. It mgibt take a day or two, but when I'm done, I'll take lore ideas from here into consideration and make a whole story.
(Fan-made, trying to explain everything.)
Bc I n e e d a n s w e r s

Where's the forest doc
Actually I should put this into a google doc instead of sending through huge walls of text shouldn’t I
Sorry about that
XD yeah, Im gonna do the same.
Before the ruins: 2 spears, 2 sun shields (one pierced by a spear), 1 sword, 1 diamond shield
In the ruins: 1 diamond shield (atop the wall)
After the ruins/By the temple entrance: 9 spears, 4 sun shields, 7 swords, 5 diamond shields
It's fine tho dropman
You actually have to send them here first before putting it on the doc
Oh yeah I just meant my own doc to compile everything
It could get a bit lengthy with pictures and stuff
There's one spear and one sword before the battlefield👀
Oh yeah, if anybody wants to contribute to a whole story about Sky, feel free to DM me screenshots of lore found in the realms/possible story ideas.
(again, this will just be fan-made, a fun idea to try and fill everything in in one go lol)
An off topic question...
Anyone thought about it that all the entrance (1st area not social place) are More like exit from the realm?
Before the ruins: 2 spears, 2 sun shields (one pierced by a spear), 1 sword, 1 diamond shield
In the ruins: 1 diamond shield (atop the wall)
After the ruins/By the temple entrance: 9 spears, 4 sun shields, 7 swords, 5 diamond shields
With this I want to ask: what if we are getting it wrong? What if it is the other way around? What if the sun is actually the king side (which would explain why there are sun shields displayed in eden)? What if the diamond side is the one rebelling? What if they chose diamond as a symbol because they were the realm responsible for most of it’s production?
The most confusing thing is you can see both sunshield and diamond shield are pierced by spear
I think everything we have points to diamonds being symbols of power and subsequently destruction caused by misuse of power
The most confusing thing is you can see both sunshield and diamond shield are pierced by spear
@hushed steeple Considering it is a civil war, both sides would fight with the same weapons
Hmm
Who are the combatants in this conflict?
I would have assumed that spirits were doing the fighting
And given their relative size, I wouldn’t estimate that they could wield those spears
All I know is that there is a greater number of diamond shields by the temple entrance and it is also the only one found in the ruins
And given their relative size, I wouldn’t estimate that they could wield those spears
@delicate coral maybe they used growing spells?
Maybe the spirits present themselves smaller so they can talk to the kids
Or maybe they shrinked down due to their disconection to the light
Those explanations do seem fairly sound
But do they fit in terms of the other spirits? The cry emote spirit would have been bigger than the cave in that case
Oh the growing spell explanation still works though
The alternative explanations seem to be that it was two elders fighting, which seems unlikely given the amount of weapons, or that there were other elder-type creatures at the time, which we’ve seen no evidence of?
Spirits are around adult size compared to us. I figure they and elders were different species and the large reminance of war were from elder folk rather than spirits
But only six elders fell
Only six elders were shown. That doesn't exclude the possibility of others falling.
Not to take away from the conversation but the thought Kinda struck me: why those three bird(?) statues? Why there? Why in that formation? Did something happen to the rest of the sanctuary isles in which the other statues were lost somehow?
I know in Light Returns you used them to buy things like hair
This was replaced, but there's one in forest that acts as a return shrine
So now maybe it's just bird themed decor?
Maybe. It just looks like one of them is falling over due to like tectonic plates or weathering or smthn, you know?
Probably erosion. It's been a while and there's a beach right near it
True
One of that statue used as instrument shrine in old beta
Another statue in live version is in battlefield(used as return shrine)
Dolphins
wowww.. i didnt knew my question will end up in such a deep discussion hahah interesting to read 😅
Actually I should put this into a google doc instead of sending through huge walls of text shouldn’t I
@delicate coral nah it cool
Oh okey lol, I think it’ll be easier to organise my thoughts there anyway so I’ll do that for now while I build up some evidence
Considering it is a civil war, both sides would fight with the same weapons
@mortal viper THIS IS AN EXCELLENT POINT and I fully back it as evidence that it doesn't matter what shields or weapons any of the spirits used
Shield patterns were usually used as way to differentiate between enemy troops. As an exemple you can look up Spartan and Athenian shields from Peloponnese War.
But maybe they used different colours or armor, and the shields and weapons were the ones they found laying around. We can’t know for sure because there is none of this stuff left, just the weapons.
But it does makes me wonder whether sun shield was the King’s/Edens symbol, considering there are two of them displayed at Eden’s first area
Maybe the ones bearing the sun shields were the kings guard
And the diamond shields were used by the army soldiers
Why sun shields so dang big tho
No idea
Theres no way in hek a normal spirit wouldve been able to hold it
But we humans have our history of making big shields
Look for roman rectangular shields
They were basically the size of an adult male
Those sun shields arent rectangular tho
And the only one ive seen to match its size while holding it is the big chonky gw elder
Let me check something
But those are stone shields right
Yes
Everything is sky is made of stone
Even the boats
My kid is the original size, so that would be what? 3’2”? So 91,49 cm for people like me who doesn’t understand why we still using feet to mesure things.
I'm confused by comma placement
Spirits are more or less 2x a kid size, so 182,98 cm, or 1,82 m
@short owl what do you mean?
It's not acting as a decimal because doing hundredths of a centameter would be unreasonable... But there are only two numbers following?
There are millimeters
And millimeters have nanometers, which have micrometers and so on
Are the measurements precise enough to use milimeters?
I used a converter
But let me check again
Sorry, the correct value is 96,52 cm
1 ft = 30,48 cm
1 in = 2,54 cm
But converting everything to meters:
Kids: 0,96 m
Spirits: 1,93 m
Sun shield (~2,5x the kid size): 2,40 m
Diamond shield (~2x the kid size): 1,93 m
You know... The shields wouldn't be the only oversized equipment
Maybe Wasteland Elder was just bad at keeping track of his shields and left them laying around in a big mess, and the war was to see who would have to pick them up
The jars they cary are just too large for use
The weapons as well
Maybe for spirits, physical form is a much smaller part of the equation than we realize
They could levitate things
Maybe the scholor's levitation is just an extension of normal levitation. Maybe they usually levitate things on contact rather.
This could lead to only minor exertion while holding a larger than them shield, and allow normal use of jars wider than they are as backpacks (where they do not hinder arm movement, sight, or leaning)
But now I am imagining a levitation sword duel
But still in every memory where they could be levitating things, they are carrying them
Eg: bellmakers
Perhaps they’re just strong
Really strong
Me and one of my friends came up with another joke theory:
so if our players are the fragmented remains of the king/his soul/ his spirit
then if every player were to sit on the other's shoulders
then technically we would become the king
@mortal viper this presumes that 1. All things can be levitated (maybe just some types of stone?), and 2. That there isn't a limit. The bells may just happen to be above what a bellmaker can cary, so they have a buddy help them.
@short owl Not all things, right?
perhaps only some were able to levitate things, or it took alot of practice and skill that those in vault had the opportunities to learn (they seem like nobles/ higher class) that bell makers (they seem like workers) couldn't
Could be
are the sky children small or is Oreo large?
Kids smol
Spears are usually long
ok but not too long that you cant pick them up
They tend to be twice the size of a human
and the swords?
Yes, the swords are too big
the shields seem normal I think
Though we do have the Claymore
even claymores are big within reason
They were are more spears than swords
remember you need to be able to pick up a sword to wield it
also if you think a claymore is big then you've gotta see a zweihander
Yes, this great swords are ridiculously big
To the point they no longer can be used to fence
They are basically a spear with a giant tip
anyways wonder what type of swords were in battlefield
Wdym?
They look more like single edge swords, like an oversized daikatana
Yes
they look sort of like a weird cross between a barabudur and a tachi
there a single edge sword no doubt
Tachi was the one I was trying to think of
Though in reality they look a bit more Zanbatō style
horse-chopping saber maybe replaced with "krill-chopping saber"
I haven't seen the end of the blades (they are stuck in the sand) but I'm assuming its some sort of forward angled blade
Maybe Okiami zanbato
No I think all the weapons are stuck into something with fabric on the opposite side to the pointy bit
maybe like some sort of burial?
I was wondering if it was remnant if battle, the spears are always in or near octagonal shields
And swords always near the kite shield
I believe we even see this in Eden
yeah
And wl elder tbh
i dont remember seeing any weapons in eden
prolly because i was more concerned with not getting whacked by rocks
@normal berry in the first hut up the hill, with the single winged light
ohh yes i remember now
soo I found this in the office, I have no idea what it is, anyone know?
Your Sky archaeologist is on the case
Twist: those aren't weapons, but kitchen tools
All the shields in the area are just fancy plates
aww they had a picnic
It was fine until a trouble maker told the kids that their food makes fun squisy noises when stabbed real hard

At least squishy noises do get made?
but one thing got me thinking: The table in Vault's 2nd level is quitr big
even for the spirits
maybe they can change sizes?
It may be for elders.
Elders would fit it nicely, and they do need a place to talk about important stuff
Does anyone have any information on the megabird lore?
and forest clearing came with belonging season
That place is called Sunny forest, not forest clearing
thanks, i didn't know
Also there is eight seats I think? For each of them?
There are 8 seats in the forest table.
6 for the Spirits, 1 for Grandma, and 1 for us
But there are only 6 in the vault one out of which 1 seat is broken
Does anyone have any information on the megabird lore?
@quaint marlin I don't, but maybe the pins have something?
But there are only 6 in the vault one out of which 1 seat is broken
@broken basin Maybe the valley elders had to share and broke it
Little late but I am still interested in size of spirits. What about chibi mask? The spirit who wear it is quite big and have mask which should make anyone smaller, right?
Given that the megabird is no longer in the game beyond one credits scene... The new lore should be that stars often rearange themselves to make new shapes to screw with planet bound natives.
Sadly, it takes around 400 years to do so
XD
What is the megabird? Im new to sky so I don't know most names to things
can anyone explain this-?
@hushed steeple have you finished Eden yet?
Yes
If you watch the credits, you will see a big star bird near the end
That's the megabird - a collective of all stars. Early lore had it as a collective conciousness or something similar
can anyone explain this-?
@tawny wedge what you don't understand?
is the thing in the middle the king?
a question: are they using mantas to carry the lanterns/projectors/knowledge holder?
waiitttt A SECOND
Does anyone kno on top of their head how many vault elevator floors there are
I would assume there are at least 6
we are just hallucinating from 3 up, but that is because we don't know how to use projection technology
So 6 elevator floors right?
and we are turning them all on at the same time
@sly kestrel counting ground level, yes
Hmmmm I have a new theory on that mural actually
do share
It’s actually showing a lot
The six columns of vault lanterns, those are the 6 vault elevator levels, and it was hinted that the whole vault level could’ve been jus a memory or a dreamlike experience, well theres a spirit named a memory whisperer, and the lanterns are called memory cubes in the concepts. in that mural it is showing that the spirit mantas are projections or memories from these “memory cubes”. Now for the vault elder holding up the big memory cube, it seems like that’s the one responsible for projecting the giant creature we see at the 5th floor
A long time ago, we used to think they were sucking spirit mantas into these lanterns, but it’s actually the opposite
The lanterns are projecting the spirit mantas, and they are also identified as memories
Hmmm it would prolly make more sense if I used pictures
like running film thru a projector
Well in some of the art in Tom Zhao's website it shows that the lanterns project memories
Oh, I thought that was said here already
I agree with you Jay, that seems to be de case
the vault elder's standing on some mini version of the elevator (or the elder's just very big but then again it's a mural, what even is size and scale)
(I want to input a new theory, or at least a question, when this current theory discussion is over)
Is there lke some sort of map of sky. I was wondering which temples were closer to eden
(I want to input a new theory, or at least a question, when this current theory discussion is over)
@round fossil give me your theory
There are maps of individual realms, but I don't think a whole map of Sky.
As I see it, the realms with more life, and lack darkness are farthest away from Eden (as Eden is the center of it all). So taking that in mind, it's basically how you see it in Home.
Realms from farthest to closest to Eden in Sky:
- Isle
- Prarie
- Forest
- Valley
- Wasteland
- Vault (being under Eden.)
I'll post my theory/question in a moment.
From the discussion above about the giant spears and shields in wasteland. I was also wondering why there were barriers right at the entrance of the temple. What or who would want to "invade" the temple? I'm not sure its krill because all they do is attack living things. Idk its just a thought
vault being under eden is such a good idea and makes so much sense! that would be why it's called vault; it's not just a place to store knowledge, it's also a place where knowledge is kept safe in a war-stricken world.
and the whole "going up" aspect, too.
I'm not sure if war existed from the beginning tho. But that is a good thought
The Ending of Vault is so like an elevator-type look as well. Like, there's no door behind where you spawn, and there's a literal gateway to Eden. So it just makes sense.
i'm going from the theory that the realms also show the development of the world (to its eventual destruction)
And in every Realm, it shows Eden being so high in the sky.
and in most of the world maps we don't see vault, irrc!
So the Vault, being a gateway to Eden, having an entrance in the castle in Wasteland, is also valid.

@chilly kestrel
Because it's Under Eden. And a world map would usually show an overhead view.
Well we do see vault in isle
no, i think they mean a depiction of it!
Oh, I meant in the markings on the wall
An example of what I'm talking about is this:
on the murals there's a tower between where eden and valley is
You can clearly see Eden on top of the mountain
but we never See the tower
yeah, exacty!
So taking that in consideration, Eden's elivation is higher than all of the other Realms, the Vault being a gateway/staircase.
