@desert junco I found a theory here that the realms also relate to time. Isle is early, when everything is free, and most land hasn’t been touched yet. Prairie is before mankind, where nature flourished and everything was good. Forest was the industrial revolution, where humans came and ruined the perfect balance that the environment had. Valley, is most similar to today. It is such a short level, and it’s almost tempting to keep moving forward, unlike the other levels where there is a lot to explore. It seems to be hiding something that we don’t know. Wasteland is what lies ahead. So much pollution and waste that we have to use huge pipes to move it all away, to a place that becomes a barren wasteland.

Poking around Isle after a long time away from realm, and I’m suddenly reminded that based on the name/theme and assuming earth rotation direction, it’s actually the farthest point WEST, not east... the sun is rising behind Isle temple and Eden and now I’m so confused

In Valley, the sun is near the horizon again but offset at about 2’o’clock from Eden, so now we’re heading... north? will have to go check sun direction in Prairie and sunny Forest oob

Also! I had an idea about the butterfly spirit in prairie. Often times caterpillars will make their chrysalis in a sheltered spot and people who raise butterflies may move them to a safe area. The way the spirit runs to the different holes in the dome hill, I think he may be raising butterflies and checking if any have emerged. The area is protected but the hole at the top would allow them to leave afterwards. I don’t see the caves holding pots or being used for storage so this is my theory of its use. What do you guys think?

I think he might raise butterflies, the way he runs around definitely seems like he’s checking on something

Krills can't spot them because at the thing skykids are seeing is just their memories. And in a sprits cutscene, a krill does spot it. It's made that way
