The Ark is fleeing from the wasteland as it falls to corruption. However with all the lights it has inside the Ark it causes an unnatural storm. The Ark is whipping through the mountains, trying to avoid them. However a Krill charges at the Ark, the Ark swerves and avoids the Krill, but they slam RIGHT into the mountains, tearing up the oars and making the ship lose control and crash land into the area it is now.

That's sorta what we came up with.

The cosmic/spirit creatures, really only the manta and the big “whale” are supposed to be similar in appearance to their living, judging from the spirit mantas at least. But then we also see a whale skeleton in forest

I think Crabs are just naturally creatures of the dark, the Enchantment spirit did take some water from the Crab pond, though the Crabs got angry when too much of their water was taken. They need it to survive cause you usually only find crabs in locals with water or polluted water

I’m scratching my head with this mimicking thing. But i think that for some reason, unlike skykids who get petrified, the other creatures become corrupted and instead of light rejuvenating them, they have an insatiable void for light. Crabs attack any source of light and krill attack light creatures, presumably eating or absorbing their light. But they’re never satiated by light that way. It’s possible Krill are so corrupted they’re able to fly ooooorrr they’ve consumed so much light they can fly as dark creatures

Imagine if for a second Eden was a door, like like the sun, letting in light (in the form of spirit) into the world and bringing it back In to clean it. ( a sense of rebirth.
