That’s not even fair The only movements I’ve noticed on the crabs is that they like to circle around and then they get riled up if you’re too close and then charge and if they hit you they hide and turn into a pebble they stay as pebbles if you leave them alone.

Sorry, I'm new here so not sure if I should speak up but I never looked at these murals closely and it looks so fascinating
On the first picture Lynsa posted it seems like crabs were living in the water/lake
Then on the second picture the people came, it seems like they're filling the jugs/pots from the lake
On the third picture it seems that the level of water in the lake fell, or possibly it dried out or got polluted and more crabs are coming out of it
And people and mantas are fleeing away from crabs

Detail on the game I just realised today. If you almost run out of light, you can transfer light to a lantern/candles. Then if need to recharge, you can go to the lantern/candles.. I feel like this is an analogy for the game. When you transfer the light to another vessel, it won't cost you more light. I feel like this is telling us that it doesn't cost anything to give (or share), and in the long run, it might even help you more. Also technically can be used between player to player interactions

@cobalt palm the krill have a small pressure around them that forces the player away. Most of the pressure is forward, but if you pass closely underneath them or above while not getting seen, it will force you away from the krill just like an Out of Bounds wind wall
I wonder though if it wasn’t just the devs using the push coding they already had available instead of creating a separate library for Krill push effects.

The Krill have an immense amount of detail to them, so the collision would need to still be a separate object linked to the krill to save resources... however, the Krill are scary and meant to instill fear and force you to run away, so it makes super sense that it would be a wind wall object thinking about it from a lore perspective.

See, I'd like to pose the theory by stating that in The beginning, there was light and dark. Light embodies the heavenly, ethereal, energy and generousity
While dark embodies earthly, solidarity, absence and entropy
Spirits were industrious creatures, like the elders. They caught light and used it to power their machine made of darkstone
This caused polution which lead to the decay of light and the need for more lead them to build more machines that gathered stray light and gave it to them
(I'd like to note that TGC is no stranger to classical story elements influencing their lore choice as journey was a hero's journey masterpiece)
Sky's concept of dualism can probably be attribute d to early western mysticism.
Things like the tarot, astrology, and gnostism had a particular subsection involving "The Mountain"
It's the idea that the earth and heaven connect at a place atop the peak of a mountain.
This is the place where up is down, white is black and Epstein killed himself.
The theory that we are hybrids also fits nicely into this idea (as well as if we were the prince as birbmama and the king of the mountain represent heaven and earth.)
Tldr earth and sky had lil babies because humans decided to end the world and mix the two.
By the by if we haven't already deducted this, I'd like to lay claim to
"The Heirophant Theory"
(Because Heirophants were thought to marry opposites and be a connection between realms :)

This is my view and opinion on the backstory of the ark. The spirits from the season of lightseekers found this mysterious light source and decided to share it with the scholars, they then adapted it to make new powers, psychic, illusion, fire, water, air and earth. Scholars had an idea to change the world with this power, to seek prosperity and change, probably to undo the damage in wasteland. When the season started it even said that these spirits were on their way to prosperity. But with all that power and all the orbs in 1 single ark, it attracted a deadly storm and caused them to crash into a deserted place. They were stuck here without a way out so they decided to adapt to their environment and wear clothes for the desert and we see them as “turban” clothes. One of them even made a farm. With no way out, another one of the scholars painted murals on the ark so someone could know their story and maybe one day, someone will find the ancient ark buried underneath the sand and return the lost lights.
If u don’t know about the season of lightseekers, this might not make sense

They go on an ark to bring prosperity, but are hit by a storm which lands them in wasteland and scatters the light from the pots they were carrying.

They try to use their limited light that escaped to change the land, but it fails until it is restored to them.
After a while they and the ark are covered by sand for an age.
Until we discover them and return their light and then are able to restore the beauty to wasteland.
The types of the magic created from light are:
Red that dwells in darkness, which restores memories and murals.
Blue that dwells in pure waters, which restores the purity of water.
Cyan that dwells in early morning breezes, which restores the air.
Green that is a gift to the earth from the sky, which restores nature and plant life.

From my first impression of the game here is my take on the lore

Wasteland consists of a lot of things
The whole thing isn’t one big castle
There’s factories, a graveyard, a partial wall, a ship doc, and I’m not sure what the huge building is but there’s that too
Also it was said that the temples for the realms weren’t rlly temples at all
They were simply places that had a lot of importance to that certain elder
So the huge wasteland building was jus something important or significant to the wasteland elder.

I agree with that, it seems like the first area has the outer wall and then the boats are for bringing supplies, perhaps jars (of light/butterflies?) or something to provide power or food. Then the last area has the actual temple with a fortified gate and lookout wall around it that’s mostly fallen apart.

Here’s my opinion
I’ll try to shorten it as much as I can bc it connects to some of my other ideas
But
Let’s start on power diamond and industry
Light and butterflies were harvested at praire and put in pots, these pots were shipped to forest and forest had a factory that was able to mix the light with raw materials to make a power diamond. It was their form of artificial light and also their form of technology. Based on all the concepts and live-streams and everything, this was a corrupted power and this is most likely what caused the corruption and rain at forest. The first start of industry
Valley thrived from this new tech but wasteland took this power even further
They made huge huge factories bigger than the one at forest and no longer used tiny pots of light. Back to how power diamonds are made, they used creatures of light, butterflies specifically
Well my theory is that when wasteland took it further they used larger animals with more light. This is a small concept I found but apparently if a creature’s body and corpse is left behind that means it died unnaturaly and didn’t migrate to orbit. In other words, it was murder. And that should explain the graveyard. Overall, I think wasteland got corrupted the same way forest got corrupted, the industry of power diamonds
