because it doesn't make sense for me for the elders to leave "heaven" as the forms we see them as - i would think that they would be blank slates...but then again the scene showed them being connected to constellations so they didn't fell to earth necessarily they joined it
the spirits as their memories are possible...but the scene shows them falling then the civilization growing
Oh, hmm I almost saw it as opposite but I’m still trying to work it out.
i wonder what the world was before the elders showed up
and why certain spirits become part of the constellation - maybe to depict the theme of each area thru its individual aspects - that's literally what a constellation of many stars does
The elders to me are gone we only see in cutscenes and Eden. The constellation and Eden in a way represents heaven or afterlife.
I think they worshipped stars and when they saw it fell with curiosity they followed. Only to find that they are powerful source and voyage across the clouds and built them shrine and developing each realm.
OH so they collected the stars in places where the temples would be built
do you think this is before or after the elders came and what is the distinction between "a fallen star", "an elder", and a "winged light'. they look so similar...maybe to signify that they come from a common source
A fallen star is a source of energy
I almost wonder how stars and children of light and wings are all interconnected
I posted my theory on winged light before. But someone shot at it, saying they were footprints.
Elders to me were previous civilization that built temples used stars but misuse lead to destruction of their civilization
The temples were built by Elders
Those lights they are carrying resembles a lot like the fallen stars they talk about in intro.
B O A T S
yea...and it's confirmed that the fallen stars are elders...
i wonder why some stars fall...maybe that's their version of dying?
I just came here to say Boats. I’ll bring so real lore tomorrow. Peace
so when were power diamonds developed then? how are these boats flying? powered by the stars right then how come wasteland didn't use stars...(too rare then - then why do stars fall)
We see boat making in pairie. They might have developed something by then. It takes time to build a civilisation in one area. And with growing population they move to new place.
i wonder how a power diamond would compare to a fallen star
have we seen anything that resembles a fallen star?
i still think it's strange how they could simply carry a star...
Or else why would there be power diamond in vault to light up and see the elder and in forest end the diamonds are required lit up to open gate.
maybe the winged lights are the stardust left behind by the falling stars - they seem to leave trails
Also the diamond shape means light.
Or else why would there be power diamond in vault to light up and see the elder and in forest end the diamonds are required lit up to open gate.
@inland narwhal and so the fallen stars are self-regulating..
we have a diamond shape on our forehead...
And in chest too
the fallen stars are the elders, and power diamonds are man made by in world materials. Even tho power diamonds are called artificial stars, I don’t think they relate to the actual stars in any way.
we're talking about these kinds of stars
they seem to be gathering the stars as power sources
Technically referring something as a fallen star has a double meaning. It can also mean falling from grace.
i have no idea where they put them .-. maybe contained them into early power diamonds
Technically referring something as a fallen star has a double meaning. It can also mean falling from grace.
@pseudo leaf COUGH hey that connects to the opening scene...i'm not sure how this connects to this instance...
Ok ok ok it may have a double meaning but if u guys are referring to the fallen stars in the intro, it’s the 6 elders. A devy made sure of that too
yes i know...
but these are different - u see them in the same place not across realms so i doubt they are the same fallen stars
To me it seems like travelling with it not gathering. The ones they gathered seem a bit different than the one we see at isle and intro.
wow thanks for these
what are those vertical lines i'm confused
@sly kestrel yes but there is some confusion because we are discussing two different things. The Elders are the falling stars but are also harnessing light from falling stars? I’m not sure if I’m following what you mean.
what they r holding looks suspiciously like umbrellas .-.
OOOOOHHHHHH
Ok u guys confused me for a moment
And lofti have u played during the season of lightseekers?
:) I joined last week
oh
@inland narwhal cool picture from ark I think? Could the boats have been used to transport?
If I explained the umbrellas and stuff then, u wouldn’t understand 😔
It could also be a tool though not a umbrella
@pseudo leaf I’m resending this ark theory
My theory sort of revolves around that
Oh thanks I have played a few months but just found this group.
everyone seems to forget about that one mural inside the ark 😔
Which one?
Which one?
If I explained the umbrellas and stuff then, u wouldn’t understand 😔
@sly kestrel hit me up
The forgotten ark is so interesting, but I wonder if light was depleting...why couldn't their light be replenished with the light creatures? They are still around when we visit... @inland narwhal
About the forgotten ark, are we replenishing it to its former glory?
Because if u have done the second light quest from this current season then you should’ve seen that ||the toxic water of the ark is turned into crystal clear waters||
I think that's a stretch....I don't understand why we would need to restore it. Maybe the ark is a spirit of its own and then we can unlock his history like we do with spirits and their memories
However it was only the water surrounding the seasonal spirit guide thing that changed....so I ask again what's the point @frigid merlin
well, i would say we could just be restoring the ship, but ||the whole sky changes|| too
I think it's a kind of terraforming rather than restoration. Maybe we are doing what the Ark spirits failed to do. They might have lost their colored light when the storm hit the Ark (im not sure about this because the upside-down Ark in the mural still has the light in it), and anyway they didn't have enough colored light to do terraforming (as suggested in the shrug spirit's cutscene).
i wonder if itll stay like how it was left after the season
i think everybody does
yeah bc ppl who hasnt seen the cutscenes yet dont have the altered stuff
Tomorrow we'll get more insight

2 more hours..,.,.,.,
im feeling... green
Oooooooh new light
Well beta is different than live so ig we’ll wait and see what it is
@frigid merlin yeah i think so our goal is to chase the Darkness away of the Land to see how it was before and i think that its so Amazing to do that

Does anyone have lore on manta?
try channel search😉 manta in: lore-discussion-spoilers
I found one thing that doesn't fit the theory of krills being mantas and chasing light hoping to turn back: in the wasteland, after the 1st room with a krill you can go straight on or to the right. If you take the one in front of you, there is an area with 4 krills. Near its exit there stands a child of light (a winged light). Krills spot it, but they do not attack (and we know they attacked people from the spirit with black cape). Any ideas why is that?
Oh I've been wondering and observing this too, and if i stand close to the wing light child, the krill also didn't attack me, i always do this at the first krill area
How the krill got this name btw? The official name is dark dragon
- So the bones in vault are of cosmic mantas?
- Mantas are light creature how are they not affected by rain. Is it because they have hydrophobic body.
- I came across one where it said the cosmic mantas were species created after an experiment. So, would they be affected by rain?
Yeah she's not hungry tho, just chilling there

@inland narwhal maybe manta do hurt under the rain, they just chillin under the entrance door, and occasionally fly to you, maybe to recharge or just save you from losing light, i got one manta follow me a long distance before flying off, it made me so happy lol
Btw if anyone got the tallest height pls dm me
@pearl void don’t know about tallest but I’m taller than most
@inland narwhal you know which height are you? On the scale
I would happy to let you know once I figure out how
Or you saying to guess
Could be 9.
There's height measure on pin at #questions-and-help
I see thanks
You mean height? Hard to tell from the pic. You should follow the instruction at the pin
Okay
@pearl void 6. Turns out I’m not tallest. But I haven’t came across any that is taller.
look at these oars!
they're ginormous!
and that seems to be the slot?
or the "connector"

That's supposed to be the Vault's summit isnt it?
Which feeds into the theory that when we go through Vault it's a memory of some sort, rather than a physical place
yeah
even the devs themselves are like “yeah vaults pretty interesting”
thats pretty much one of the most accepted theories here
In the vault, if we skip the cutscenes and look down below, we can see the cosmic mantas and cosmic whales disappear when the elevator moves to the next floor. Especially, the cosmic whale disappear in an elaborate manner.
I think this supports the theory that they are not real creatures but are virtual projections.
sry it's not about the vault summit but I happened to be writing this post
Wait, I agree, but elaborate manner? It just fades out :p
compared to how the cosmic mantas disappear😂
Oh I see it haha yes, it is elaborate that way
I know its not the topic of the conversation but Can someone tell me where i am ? And whats behind the door ?
not quite the right place to ask but thats the entrance to the secret area that is.. the office
It's not really a lore place
you’ll need someone witha beta or founder’s cape to be able to enter the gate and access the portal to the office
@spring blaze sorry guys im kinda New here so im still learning how to use discord haha but thanks anyway 🥺😆
that’s alright!
@spring blaze i see thank you 💙
has anyone ventured the mountains at the forgotten ark where the krill is? is there anything special?
aside from krill no probably
@vapid bolt
Douzen asked
can skykids travel outside the world of sky?
And Reika (one of the TGC staff) replied
douzen thats gonna be a spoiler so i can't say
I found nothing special but you'll get hit by krill
@chilly jewel i tried to go there but still havent found nothing for the moment i thought that if there was the krill searching around something must be suspicious 🥺
@chilly jewel i tried to go there but still havent found nothing for the moment i thought that if there was the krill searching around something must be suspicious 🥺
was thinking of that too, kind of cute that its chilling there though
I thought Reika was suggesting Home is outside the world of sky
it's still my headcanon
i thought they were adding a new world til i realize its just office space and iss
@plush moon on your question about lightseekers, the seasonal spirits wore floppy hats and had umbrellas, similar to those depicted in the Ark's murals, also in the murals they are chasing balls of light, so literally seeking the light through what could be a forest (vertical lines being trees)
https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Season_of_Lightseekers
Have you guys noticed this?
@hushed steeple if you track back earlier before that vault summit statue, you'll noticed the pointy structure, the one leading to the prairie too
lightseekers also introduced us to the light catching quests
@humble barn@spring blaze, that's how I read it anyway, though she could also mean homespace.
i heard rumours you were able to tp to ppl at iss thru homespace.. but its false
That would have been an innovative way to break into ||office||
Hey guys, sorry this is from previous discussion but how do u find the height scale? Not sure if I got tallest or not
its pinned in #questions-and-help

A random theory on the Child of Light:
A long time has passed. Now, I call to you.
Wake up, child. Bring our lost stars home.
The king/prince was the Child of Light, a dear child of the narrator/Megabird.
Maybe because he swallowed multiple souls while he was ruling the kingdom of Sky, or maybe because his soul somehow shattered into pieces, multiple ungrown clones of him wake up, one by one.
So skykids are the Children of Light, clones of the original Child of Light.
I Wonder what happenned to the realm of light before we came Like its so interesting we are collecting light from spirit so intriguing 🥺💙
Reika did say it’s a person we have a relationship with....we also happen to look exactly the same as the child of light
yeah and our friend constellation is a crown
!travelingspirits
The next Traveling Spirit is scheduled to arrive on May 14 at 00:00 Pacific Time (UTC -7:00)
You can read how Traveling Spirits work here: http://bit.ly/TravelingSpirits
I think a clone theory explains those well, but the downside is, there's no proof
its a crown
in eden you see the friend constellation and there’s a crown sketch/drawing/art thing behind it
Where?
check the constellations while in eden
Can someone send me a photo?
i think they meant the drawing in orbit
ye
just need to turn the brightness up
Yes. I believe it’s on YouTube
I was always curious about what game the valley elders play in their cutscene... is it cricket? Basketball 2?
I think it’s their own game
Also I’m abt to go on a bit of a tangent I’m sorry
I was thinking about the Elders, right? And I suddenly had a thought that kind of made me wanna draw Vault and GW Elder together
If we think abt it, the GW Spirits memories all show some sort of a crisis happening, and this can be tied back to the initial corruption of GW
And I’m gonna assume that GW Elder and their spirit army, that is probable bc look at play dead spirit
All “died” either during the initial corruption of GW, of while fighting off the corruption trying to protect vault
This theory only makes a modicum of sense if you subscribe to the idea that GW and Vault were the last realms standing
And in the GW Elder’s cutscene, they’re still fighting, and they’re still trying so so hard to get back up, but why?
What if the GW Elder was still trying to protect the Vault, orrrr
The Vault Elder?
Idk I just want the elders to interact outside of their cutscenes and uh, this sort of felt like a sweet last stand type story
Feel free to shoot this theory down though
Yah it was
Is this the dark stone and Is this ark a dark stone technology?
seems like it
Is it really the same Ark from the old timeline?
I think its the same technology that is used here
Are you sure the power inside of this diamonds doesn’t come from dark stones? Is power diamond completely differrent power source?
what if ||oreo|| was a krill in disguise? And hes trying to trick players into summoning him and riding on him so he can steal our light?
Highly unlikely, but cute headcanon nonetheless
late but

@novel kettle
Cri
akjdjwjs i wanna draw them together now-
I can't be bothered reading two days of messages, usually I could but not today. Did I miss any new theories or confirmations?
So UH
Tatatatattatatatatatattatatatatataaaaaa
Vault is a simple memory of something gone..........we see the actually summit during acension
Wasteland was corrupted by the sea
Valley wasnt that touched-
Forest rain is problably from wasteland
Prarie is safe
Isle wasnt even touched at all
Tgc said they created the realms like life
Isle is the babyhood, peaceful, nothing much-
Prarie is child stage, getting smarter
Forest is when the trouble starts, not that bad
Valley is life going downhill
Wasteland: the problems, stress, work
Vault: not sure
Eden DEATH
I've heard of all of those
Idk what vault is? You are so old you get delusional?
Just because we see the top of vault during the ascent doesn't mean it's a memory
then why it be so un corrupted
Wasteland is representitive of midlife and midlife crises
So Vault would be representitive of Wisdom with Age
And wat about the end of vault-
After the cutscene
I have a solid theory about that
Vault is exists interdimensionally, like how the elder cutscenes exist outside of time and space but still interact and effect this world Vault is the technological example of this. The Eden section of Vault doesn't match the Wasteland section of Vault simply because they're different places and both entrances to Vault
I like this theory because it's ingenuitive and new but I'm still sticking with my headcanon haha
I STICK WITH
@hushed steeple
Kwak
Ur headcanon be noice
One time i tried making the hidden forest contraption work.....IMAGINE IF PLAYERS FOCUSED AND LIT ALL THE THINGYS
Maybe if i ubered a group of people
And we got the machine to work-

Sorry I might repeat this context
I mean you mightve discussed this
I was wondering what's your lore about the idea of why the children of light are kind of destined to idk the term but kind of sacrifice themselves for the fallen
We here can answer your lore questions, or give you our theories anyways. In the pins you will find valuable information, like concept art (probably not canon), cutscenes for reviewing, some canon lore, our theories, things like that
There is that cutscene at the very beginning of the game, that's probably the reason for you being brought to life
Wake up, bring our lost children home (or sth like that)
Are the lost children the same as them though?
Maybe the lost children are the fragmented bodies of the child of light
Wow good question right off the bat, we're not sure why we have to sacrifice ourselves. In an old version of beta we could save the statues without dying, but that's long since removed (and not dying and dying did the same thing) I think us dying at the end of the game is a way of telling us it was inevitable to fail and die, that it's all part of the cycle of life in Sky
Sorry I have a lot of questions since the storyline does have a plot but its not much kind of clear to others that much 😓
I had a theory that we as a player were created like krills
Same
I don't think the krills are man made. Most of the tech we've seen doesn't really come close to what krills are
Like the idea of "Behind every light lurks the shadow living among them" kinda thing
Oh so like yin and yang
Lofti Then why do they sound so mechanical?
I mean krills are lowkey scary but lowkey lookin like lobsters ngl
I also have like idk a random theory about the entirety of the lore of sky like the entire theme isn't mainly about being selfless but also like a renaissance kind of stuff
like that's their roar?
I first took it as the bones hitting each other
like for power diamonds we have places and a process of how they were made...for krill they seem to resemble creatures more than machines...
for example we haven't seen AI creatures being built other than in the vault, where it's established that its a virtual reality of holograms....
Yeah, but think about entering the fist part of the eden after the storm
After you open the door, a krill flies by
And it's not his natural route
krills like the gather where there are darkness...
i will be hesitant to attribute that because that was a cutscene how do you know that the devs just wanted to scare you? i mean establish the mood...
I know, yet still this seems like some security system
And I’m gonna assume that GW Elder and their spirit army, that is probable bc look at play dead spirit
@cobalt lintel Brilliant! You just gave me an idea. I never thought of it, but when you relate the spirits and the elder this way, i just have to find the relation between the spirits and the realm they were in, what is their story to the realm.
So i watched back all the GW spirits when we first encounter them, relive their life.
This guy seems to run away from something and eventually drop dead.
This person is running towards the building. His spirit shows that he duck from something, i hear like a creature's sound as he do the action. But i can't think of what creature it is, it doesn't sound like krill. Update: he duct from the crumbling building. Thanks Hage for pointing that out.
Alert stance emote. This man is in the broken machine room that we know was used to produce the power crystal. I think he is guarding the area, standing casually, which also implies that there is no krill at the room initially. Update: he is hiding from the krill, the camera pan to the krill for a second towards the end of the spirit journey. Thanks Hage for pointing that out.
This one is at the shipwreck. I like to think that he send off his men to look for rescue as the ship wreck and give a salute.
Cautious stance emote. This guy is hiding from something. At his scene, he is hiding from a red light, and we know what emit red light in the game, it is the krill! The sound is quite similar too.
This man is at the battlefield. After watching his scene, i come to understand that this is also the watch tower, the fortress, the last defense. This guy is a watch man, he climb up the watch tower and keep on eye to the surrounding. He seems to spot on something, turn his back and blow the horn on his back. His action struck me that whatever cosmetic that we get from the spirit, may imply something important to the clues that we are looking for.
To sum it up, i can definitely say that the GW elder is fighting some creatures, possibly the krill, they may not having a civil war. And the spirits story definitely relate or contribute to the function of the realm that they were at.
Woah that's awesome!
why are there different kinds of shields? and barricades
Woah! I’m happy that I was able to help you figure that out, that’s amazing!
barricades are quite useless for krill and they are at places without crabs..
I know, yet still this seems like some security system
@fiery dagger there's a theory that krills are corrupted manta who want revenge/return to being regular mantas.
The Two Shields Theory
@hushed steeple then i assume we're thinking about the same thing?
.-.
Sorry to ask this out of the blue but how did things go down in the first place?
wasteland started destroying their forest (see tree stumps) and began mass industrialization > used large mantas to make power diamonds (see skeletons) > created controversy (see light shields vs diamond shields) > forest allied with the light faction (disagreement - no big mantas) > king allied with gw > war/rebellion > diamond wins > clean up - krill used in battle (harnessed krills not created krills) > difficult task - the war torn region began to be overrun with krills > gw elder realizes his mistake > symbolically allies with light faction > king continues production > krills continue to attack
this ain't a wall...
Alert stance emote. This man is in the broken machine room that we know was used to produce the power crystal. I think he is guarding the area, standing casually, which also implies that there is no krill at the room initially.
i think
Yeah and how did the darkness existed
also part of this spirit is a moment where the camera pans to the krill
it seems like the alert stance is hiding from the krill
every time we see the spirit memory they're hiding
Shinners want me to explain a bit in DMs so that we don’t clog up the chat?
Sure ^^
nice
also part of this spirit is a moment where the camera pans to the krill
@hollow pier oh i didn't notice the last part the camera, i have to watch that again.
i still don't know what's the king's motivation is to create a huge power diamond...and if it relates to the war and killing krill
The scared emote: doesn't seem to be creature roaring only the sound of the building collapsing https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ZtNssqbkwGsUMsg1LG5OP4lqnk1jL0u/view?usp=sharing
maybe he wanted an infinite battery
maybe he realized the shortfalling of the current process (krill) and tried to create a big power diamond so that they don't have to create anymore (its own light source no more killing mantas)
so what are the differences between our theories?
What if the krill and crabs were meant to be helpers and bc they couldn’t be sustained, grew dark and began to devour all the light that they could?
it seems like the alert stance is hiding from the krill
@hollow pier i have to watch several videos and finally get it. You're right about this. He is hiding from the krill.
yea the crabs would help by letting us eat them
The scared emote: doesn't seem to be creature roaring only the sound of the building collapsing https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ZtNssqbkwGsUMsg1LG5OP4lqnk1jL0u/view?usp=sharing
@hollow pier ahhh so that's what it is, i change my text a bit.
What if the krill and crabs were meant to be helpers and bc they couldn’t be sustained, grew dark and began to devour all the light that they could?
And that’s why the krill look so emaciated compared to the concepts
What if the krill and crabs were meant to be helpers and bc they couldn’t be sustained, grew dark and began to devour all the light that they could?
@cobalt lintel what would be uncorrupted krill?
Hmm
An uncorrupted Krill would def be a whole lot less angery and not scream so much
So, in planning the creation of power diamond, there's two factions fighting over, those who agrees with using creatures as light source (could be the diamond faction. And those who didn't(Sunburst).
Then, they found out about these elemental orbs, and the Diamonds wanted it to be examined so they can use these instead. And so, they loaded them in a big boat, hoping the Vault scholars will analyze them.
However,as we've known, this boat disappeared, nowhere to be seen. So the Diamonds have no choice but to use the light creatures, which infuriates the Sunburst faction.
Which led to war between them. Then eden exploded.
@hushed steeple oh u mentioned something i forgot about...maybe we combine both of ours
Hh I never thought of adding the Enchantment Spirits to my theories
Two cheebs become- an even shorter cheeb
The controls for that must be weird
I personally VERY strongly believe uncorrupted krill is this thing because in a livestream we're told that each level of Vault reflects the other levels of Sky, and this creature appears on the Wasteland level of sky; and the ONLY reason this creature would be on the wasteland level is if it were related to wasteland in someway. Thus I believe this creature is an uncorrupted krill!
The alternative theory is that somehow the giant ribcage seen here and in the graveyard is supposed to fit inside this cosmic whale, which I really don't agree with this theory
Because: We see the dead remains of spirits and the tuna king/whale/light dragon and in both of these examples their remains fit inside the living creature
tbh i was confused bc i was convinced that mantas can't have skeletons
yea now i agree
I also don't believe that this creature is a manta, but that's less important (because the head is too pointed and the wings don't match the big to little pattern mantas have)
not even evolved manta?
I don't think creatures of sky grow for two reasons: the elders were always elders and never anything else (canon, doesn't necessarily mean they didn't grow up/bigger? I don't remember exactly what was said in that live stream) and because when we ring the bell towers in praire we summon those big manta into existence from light, so they go from light>big manta (canon)
remember some manta has like double flaps maybe this thing is like that but loooonger
i assumed that the bells just wake them up or summon them
Neither of these things exclude the possibility that manta and other creatures of light can grow, but to me it seems to imply that they don't grow
where they come from is that light sphere probably...
*they're not canonically called elder mantas
What if the cosmic mantas all look like that bc of the interdimensional vault theory and used to look like normal mantas?
There's a single concept art that refers to them as "elders" along side pictures of mantas (that aren't even called mantas in this concept art)
i agree with the evolution theory: in old age a light creature returns to the light sphere and is reborn like us as a higher level creature
This same concept art also has butterflies on it
the one's who don't apply to this is elders and spirits since they seem to rely on external energy sources
by the same logic of using this concept art to say that they're elder mantas is to say that butterflies are baby mantas
So the cosmic mantas just might be really old?
that is why i think we're are like a hybrid - literally and symbolically to bring light back to the earth
What if the cosmic mantas all look like that bc of the interdimensional vault theory and used to look like normal mantas?
@cobalt lintel I don't understand sorry
i think it's like bird > butterfly > baby manta > manta > adult manta > elder manta > tuna king
The butterfly doesn't seem to be for scale, but for a scale of size progression, mantas of varying size are used for size reference directly beneath the elder creature however
So, in planning the creation of power diamond, there's two factions fighting over, those who agrees with using creatures as light source (could be the diamond faction) .
@hushed steeple i really like the idea! But the timeline did not matched. They are transporting the element on the Ark that powered by power crystal, which suggest that the crystal come first, the discovery of the elements came later. So there's some mismatch.
There was a theory mentioned earlier that Vault was on an inter-dimensional plane, and because of neglect, the containers that we see on the shelves broke open and the information inside them sort of form the upper levels we play through
so they're scrambled info?
So I was wondering, what if the mantas we see in Vault aren’t mantas at all but instead, are just imprints or memories
Kind of, yeah
By that theory we could say that the elder creature we see in the screenshot I posted isn't actually an elder creature but the information of several mantas shoved into one creature by way of information seepage
.-.
Vault is krilling weird ok
oh god nooooo
Yea it really is
;-; this makes it harder nooo
Good theories are HARD because sometimes you can twist them upon themselves like that haha
I was just musing, it doesn’t have to make any impact on any of the current theories
Putting elder (manta) concept or evolution theories aside, I still think the cosmic whales are smaller virtual projections of the creatures which left the bones in the wasteland graveyard.
Because there definitely are unidentified bones in the wasteland.
why use a see page when they are individual vessels of info arranged like a library...
oh sorry i meant cosmic whales *corrected
if u see the murals don't they explicity contain mantas of the same species...
why combine them...
Putting elder (manta) concept or evolution theories aside, I still think the cosmic whales are smaller virtual projections of the creatures which left the bones in the wasteland graveyard.
Because there definitely are unidentified bones in the wasteland.
@humble barn Man, those creatures must be HUGE
yeah
it's not even a table of contents because unlike a table of contents it is divided into sections: pg 1, p2, but there's nothing like that in the manta it's one cohesive being...
The wasteland mural in the vault cutscene also depicts huge ribs. Maybe those huge ones were ancient and long extinct?
I think the unidentified bones here and in wasteland are simply from creatures we haven't seen yet because they're extinct
honestly i don't like using the vault reason (it's wierd ok) because it's impossible to argue against!
i still think thats the manta bones
It's krilling weird, the use of the turtle skull, we see it above^^ and in wasteland but the ribs and spines of the creatures don't match
yeah, i think that pic suggests the turtle-skull whale-ribs are of manta and something resemble manta
didnt the mods say that it wasnt really a turtle skull, they just used it as reference
It doesn't suggest that! because there's no whale ribs in the above pic
I meant turtle-skull
no it's manta icon and manta shows up when you press the button
and yes i am ignoring the voice we get there
it's just inspiration...
It's just all sorts of weird, we have two different skeletons with the same shaped skull
So I was wondering, what if the mantas we see in Vault aren’t mantas at all but instead, are just imprints or memories
@cobalt lintel you are catching up fast, i like the way you think, maybe this can help you on the vault theory
https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/705400144287498292
I also ignore the voice we collect there because I don't think the skeleton matches a manta

@King.#7185 thanks!
we get a whale voice there
the most needed answers are:
what is the connection between mantas and cosmic mantas
what are crabs
I thought we got a cosmic manta voice
oh yes we do sry i got confused
@desert sun I still think no1 thing we should ask the devs next time they visit is if "but darkness blinds so I cast them away" is still canon
honestly fair
Living manta call to get the cosmic manta call certainly seems to imply that it's manta bones
that line is so messy - literally- figuratively---
anyway I think the turtle-like skull is a manta skull and therefore the huge turtle-like skull in wasteland should resemble manta in a way
Vault y u so
vault, lore wise, is the jalapeño in salad
i stole that joke
so what' sthe difference between a cosmic manta and a manta manta
I think the unidentified bones here and in wasteland are simply from creatures we haven't seen yet because they're extinct
@hollow pier set aside the evolution theory, this statement may held some truth
I like to explain vault’s wonkiness away by saying a lot of it’s corrupted data
yeah I do agree that they're probably extinct
even the spirits and elders never saw the creatures alive
I like to explain vault’s wonkiness by saying a lot of it’s corrupted data
@cobalt lintel i don't like that ;-; (how do u prove the vault is corrupted) (because the creatures look weird) (what if these are new creatures) (they are probably not - the vault is old and weird)
Oh, that would probably make sense
because theres no murals
I like to explain vault’s wonkiness away by saying a lot of it’s corrupted data
@cobalt lintel haha just wanna show you the canon stuff that the devs have said, and tryna relate that to your theory
the archives in vault do contain forbidden knowledge, which is why theyre sealed away
why then are the bones there at the wasteland but not everwhere else if they are basically the skeletons (fossils) of extinct creatures?
probably the same reason why wasteland is a wasteland
@cobalt lintel i don't like that ;-; (how do u prove the vault is corrupted) (because the creatures look weird) (what if these are new creatures) (they are probably not - the vault is old and weird)
@plush moon I didn’t mean like that, sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant that, maybe some parts of Vault were damaged during the corruption of GW and the formation of Eden
like, the scholars excavated the bones and tried to make a hologram of extinct creature (like humans do) in vault
probably the same reason why wasteland is a wasteland
@desert sun it used to be a forest....why couldn't it be in the hidden forest then
@hollow pier tbh i think its that one in the forest, that appears only one time and in ||Eden at the very end when u fly to the sky|| It also makes an appearance there... and well... i thought it wouldnt hurt me, but it did so yea... my opinion its likely the uncorrupted krill
@plush moon I didn’t mean like that, sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant that, maybe some parts of Vault were damaged during the corruption of GW and the formation of Eden
@cobalt lintel yea i know u aren't the first person to say that ;-; i just found debates on this topic EXTREMELY slippery and it traumatizes me
wasteland used to be a forest?
while the krill is the one consumed in the accid water in wasteland i guess?
the bones in the graveyard look really really old, some of them are partially buried inside the rock
I like to think that wasteland is a dumb site, with all the sanitary piping going on, the corpse are dumb there
@cobalt lintel yea i know u aren't the first person to say that ;-; i just found debates on this topic EXTREMELY slippery and it traumatizes me
@plush moon Oh, sorry for that then!
naw it's fine i just need to brace myself
@desert sun it used to be a forest....why couldn't it be in the hidden forest then
@plush moon where was this said 😳
well, wasteland used to be sth sth... sth kingdom ? or stuff and there was war so not sure how it was before. Can be related to the accid water that everything looks dead 👀
wasteland used to be a forest?
@desert sun yes that's the theory i and one other person discovered - -there's tree stumps around the map and if u look at theworld map you will see that the forest and wasteland are near each other
the bones in the graveyard look really really old, some of them are partially buried inside the rock
@humble barn So, could GW and Vault be directly connected to each other bc they were research sites?
they are next to each other
why did they try to excavate them?
@humble barn I don't think the bones being buried in rock counts for much because all creatures of light and darkness that we know of can phase through solid rock, so they may have died while partway through rock
theres a map?
@plush moon very likely, maybe cuz the civilization tried with technology? And thus all those accid waters and it led to the land how it is now
what r u quoting me on
cuz above u mentioned wasteland = forest 👀
oh yea like the wasteland removed its forest to build large scale factories and the cycle began with the pollution killing more of the environment
I think there's no canon map of the world of Sky we have now, but we know by playing the game the vault is directly next to the wasteland
vault and valley
theres a map?
@desert sun i got the map from "emotional storytelling" u can see the pdf in the pinned messages - idk if there's another one https://twvideo01.ubm-us.net/o1/vault/gdc2019/presentations/Kong_Jennie_EvolvingEmotionalStorytelling.pdf
@plush moon where are the tree stumps in gw?
tbh im very scared of the water at the night 😂 even at home, cuz whenever i change the ankle a bit, u cant see anything below in the ocean. And it sorta reminds of the water in wasteland
i don't want to go back there...
cuz the water in wasteland is like not deep at all? And the krills just appear from there in battlefield
i don't want to go back there...
@plush moon is that an answer to my question?
@humble barn I don't think the bones being buried in rock counts for much because all creatures of light and darkness that we know of can phase through solid rock, so they may have died while partway through rock
@hollow pier I am still not sure if we should take that into consideration though, it can be due to a technical limitation
someone else's pic
hm it sorta.... has a very similar vibe to atlantis.... in a way ? The stargate one 👀
tbh im very scared of the water at the night 😂 even at home, cuz whenever i change the ankle a bit, u cant see anything below in the ocean. And it sorta reminds of the water in wasteland
@marsh coral change the ankle?
Oh, in ark! I thought in the og gw
ehm change the camera view
@desert sun here’s the link to the world map https://imgur.com/a/BYQEWAA
like ur at home, go to the ocean when its night, do the play dead emote, and then change the camera a bit til u can see below the ocean
I'm more interested why you scared of the water at night.. At your home haha
game home 👀
Oh at the gane home dum dum lol
now i am interested why u thought i would do that in real life lol
but yea, generally im afraid of the ocean 👀
@hollow pier I am still not sure if we should take that into consideration though, it can be due to a technical limitation
@humble barn i second this too
@desert sun here’s the link to the world map https://imgur.com/a/BYQEWAA
@cobalt lintel thanks! are any of the maps still canon or are they more tomcepts
And then it asks how power diamonds are made of light can phase thru stone..

yeaa i say creatures phasing thru solid things is more of a technical thing than a actual thing
They are prob meant to rise from the clouds
I just realized mantas cannot stop, they keep flying all the time
I don't believe it's a technical limitation, we see krill emerging and entering rock/sand in the graveyard, swamp, and battlefield; and the praire manta clearly have a flight plan through the bell towers, they could have easily fixed this by now because I'm sure it's been suggested in feedback and bug reports lot that people get kidnapped in this manner
I could be wrong of course
that is a good point
Now that I remember whales can collide into stuff
So krill do this in three separate areas
oh yea the krill pre thing
the whale does it in eden
what does everyone call the eh... thing in the forest?
the whale breaks stuff at least
and mantas even do it in both valley flying race and the ice rink
ah whale ?
I think they do it in the flying race...
🤔
So they can phase thru stuff...though it can be said that their mechanics are flawed so it seems they phase everywhere
i dont think theyre whale bones? they dont give you a whale call
i really want a whale call
actually... it hit me pretty hard in ||Eden||
In eden I'm fairly sure that the whale emerges from rock, but I could be wrong
the whale bones do give you the whale call! It's the fish voice
it emerges from clouds
yea it emerges from clouds
In the new season, once someone collects the cyan light and brings it back to the forgotten ark there is wind from the holes in the sky and it seems to try to make the player float up. Does anyone know why this might be?
Okay so I only have 5 examples of creatures phasing through solid objects not 6 then
Thank you @humble barn
add that to the list of questions to ask developers
oh ok
btw does anyone know if the eh tower that faces to the race in valley is on purpose ?
like the top is sorta bugged in a way?
like there are pieces missing of it, and its still sorta connected in a way ?
ohh ik what u mean
Otherwise the maybe that its a virtual world seems to be likely true
this is a world where boats fly
the one in citadel?
and we don't have mouths
i say its intentional
and likely need suncream cuz we look so burned
im assuming the citadel one
then I also think it's intentional
why do it float? i dont have an answer
that reminds me how in isle u get a vision of eden the top part of it is floating
maybe the same reason why the golden thingy are afloat
yeaa i think this channel has yet to discuss why half of eden is missing and floating 😳
maybe the leftover from the eh.... high technology ancient past?
you know, citadel and the bird's nest are weird, things in the areas are afloat with no (apparent) power diamond attached to it, and our wing power is recharged spontaneously there
i think the citadel wing charge is def caused by the spinny things
Okay so I only have 5 examples of creatures phasing through solid objects not 6 then
@hollow pier It may also means that devs can't make every stone solid in crumbling building, all the debris to looks real, that's high tech almost like costly CGI movies
birds nest ??????? no clue
i mean there was a big building with all those stairs
yes but in the vision in isle some parts are floating...not even a 3d interactable model it's like a graphic or render
thats the citadel @marsh coral
and maybe they discovered another dimension cough and it led krills to their place and thus war broke out
and likely why eden looks like that
@desert sun eden citadel ?
what if it's connected to it be the elder's spiritual home?
lofti that part if eden is always floating throughout the game
you know, citadel and the bird's nest are weird, things in the areas are afloat with no (apparent) power diamond attached to it, and our wing power is recharged spontaneously there
@humble barn wing power spontaneous recharge i think due to the birds flying around, there're plenty there in those 2 areas
even when you fly past it in eden
it's not the vision Lofti, you can see also from other places that the top of Eden castle is detached and afloat
lofti that part if eden is always floating throughout the game
@desert sun ik the vision also* shows it so i doubt it's a glitch
@desert sun eden citadel ?
@marsh coral no no the place with the weird spinny things is the citadel
well, theres a sorta mechanism in that flying area in valley, not only the birds, but also those circle tech stuff
lots of stairs
oh, but i meant eden the big building
@humble barn wing power spontaneous recharge i think due to the birds flying around, there're plenty there in those 2 areas
@pearl void it recharges even when you are not near the creatures
about the part why there is no discussion about eden yet
@pearl void it recharges even when you are not near the creatures
@humble barn maybe cuz of those circle mecha things, their movement generates wind and reflects the sun thus = energy? 🤔
generally its difficult not to float there.... or even going down to the ground there
theres a word for those weird spinny things but i cant recall
Shion you can try channel search: Eden in: lore-discussion-spoilers
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Anyone know what is behind the 4 player telekinesis door in vault?
@humble barn maybe cuz of those circle mecha things, their movement generates wind and reflects the sun thus = energy? 🤔
@marsh coral circle mecha thing is only in the citadel
i know 👀
u guys were talking about the citadel and why theres energy charge for the wings gauge
we were talking about two areas
ARMILLARY SPHERE
^
thats the name of the things in CITADEL**
or orrery
arent they all self moving
You did the wrong @
it happens
Right , :”v when I thought my nickname was original
i also thought so its ok Dae
nothing is original nowadays
hm cant find the self moving ones
the moving balls are called
Square Stainless Steel Retro Metal Ball Decoration Metal Stents
wdym self moving
The thing that share the similarity between in citadel and bird nest, that may recharge energy, i still think are the small birds
ive seen those as those ame sth sth
its likely the sun is being reflected by those metal eh circles
thus it leads to the charge of energy
i mean, there is a building somewhere when sunlight is reflected on it, it directs the light to somewhere else, and there are cases where ppl make eggs on their cars lol
in real world 👀
if the light is reflected the energy is also reflected and cannot be used, that's why the solar panels are dark in color
when youre actually inside of the big building in citadel your energy recharges naturally. however if you are chilling outside of the gate to the race, it wont recharge. so i believe it has to be the spheres
if it helps you can just try @ enraged
Electric Colorful Kinetic Orbital Perpetual Motion Swing Moving Ball
NOOO
yes
me neither 😔
oh urs showed up above
uploads are being lagged again
hm it says magnetic swing balls.... lmao
shion the technically term for it is armillary sphere or orrery
just wait a while it will show up
valley elders have boat paddles as their signature item, and there's not much that suggests valley had any winter sports, which is... odd, considering the elders are very sporty
I'm thinking that the valley civilization had a much warmer climate, and that some of its monuments remain frozen over by ice and snow
oh ice would be nice idea for wishlist.... 👀
oh yea
valley lightseeker spirit was a skater
Yeah
but I also think the valley was warmer before
That sort of throws a wrench into that theory, but I think spirits can be remnants of different times
yeah
Also it could just be warm valley, but in winter
it wouldnt be bad to assume that sky would have seasons, considering the world has both a sun and moon
which id like to point out is massive
seasons result from the axial tilt of a planet so
maybe
Maybe Stonehenge are the portals we walk through in Sky at home
I think the tilt of the large armiliarry sphere could just be an easter egg
how come?
Well earth doesn't have a megabird floating above it or krill or light based technology
I'm not saying that sky isn't based on earth just that the tilt of 23.5 degrees might be an easter egg
I'm a pragmatist
i meann if we have a sun, a moon, and a sphere that represents the globe, blue skies...
maybe the devs didn't want to make the world different from Earth yet not too different from Earth
yeah, that similarities i think are intentional
to avoid making Sky a hardcore scifi
It's worth pointing out that the orrery has three smaller spheres about it, earth only has one moon and sun
We’ve been talking about this in our gc on tumblr, but what do you guys think the story behind Ark is?
i have a whole section in my notes for what i think happened to the ark
do you want a dm?
They were seeking to colonize a new land but were attacked by a dragon and the boat crashed so they tried to colonize the area they crashed instead
or should i repost it here
I think a repost here is fine 😄
also @hollow pier an armillary sphere and orrery are different, i think that citadel is mire armillary
okay, lemme pull it out
So, ive been absent from the lore channel as to avoid season spoilers and in that time ive come up with my own thoughts abt what happened so please correct me im im wrong:
- The pre-spirit citizens of sky prayed to the heavens/wherever and were blessed with enchantments which come in the form of different colored lights, much in the same way they received the elders after praying
- After receiving the enchantments and messing around with them, they built an ark to transport them somewhere (presumably eden)
- On the way there, they encountered a storm and crash landed into the place we see the ark at today
- Lost and confused with nowhere to go they decided to set up camp there and even farmed mushrooms for sustenance (presumably this all took place before wasteland became the wasteland, allowing actual life to live there)
- finally, they all died off (for one reason or another) after leaving old murals for anyone who might come across their forgotten ark.

i based it all purely off the murals
also worth noting, i believe the krill that is hovering over those mountains in the ark area is what's preventing them from trying to leave, kind of keeping them there
which is why there is a mural of a krill
I completely agree with that part about the krill preventing them from leaving. I never really thought about what the lights could represent though
The seasonal lights that we catch every week
Well this is my version of the ark interpretation
https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/703654226332483654
only problem i have with that is that elders are usually represented as circles with a dot in the middle, otherwise sounds solid !
Can't think of other being, because that mural is exactly like the orbit
@pearl void what do u think are those swirly lines in the sky?
Mural 1 sort of resembles it but I can't see it for mural 2
i assumed it meant the blessings (elements, lights, whatever they are) came from orbit instead of the people
because if you remember the first isle drawing, you can see the people praying and then the stars fall down (the elders)
you can see almost the exact same mural in ark, except instead of stars they get the elements
So they were the original people megabird wanted to restore the light/civilization?
And then they failed and eventually died leading to our creation?
who? the elders?
@desert sun so I call it an orrery because there’s more than one armillary sphere; it’s possible I suppose that all four armillary spheres could be models of the same planet measuring different things I suppose
The people who received the blessings and built the ark what if they wanted to go to Eden that's why there was a darkness storm
Why do u think the orrery was there? @hollow pier in that specific realm
@plush moon that gives me an idea; I had previously thought that what the murals show is the ark doing it’s thing as a transport then the storm happens (the eden darkstone breaks creating the storm) but you’re right! They could have been transporting things into the storm, towards Eden!
I think the former theory is more likely, but that’s just my intuition talking
It makes sense that we are like a second trial...megabird wanted to help them so why not earlier?
i like to think that the spirits are spirits and are still lingering in the realms in because they have unfinished business, and when we say goodbye to them, it is a promise that we will do what they did not, which is to go to orbit and see their respective elders.
thats what i thought! they were headed towards eden and got caught in the storm, struck by lightning, and crahed
They wanted to revitalize the civilization by going to the heartland and defeating the darkness with the blessings
sounds good to me @wheat valley
Well orreries/armillary sphères on that scale could have only been constructed for two reasons, for either arts or research
oo oo that reminds me of something!! i have to find it gimme a sec
So we're these people studying megabird? Did the elders want to go back?
someone make a backstory for the child that we hug when we die in eden, i need to know more!
@plush moon that’s one explanation for the number of spheres: one for the planet, the others for the moon, sun, and megabird
Ah @sly kestrel said that it's probably the child of light and the winged lights are its imprints
ooooooo
I also believe that the child we hug in eden is us meeting the child of light (who we canon know left behind imprints aka winged light) for the first time
bam
@plush moon that’s one explanation for the number of spheres: one for the planet, the others for the moon, sun, and megabird
@hollow pier that's so cool - maybe this place is dedicated to the king as his entertainment ---what if the king wanted to know more about the heavens so he could go back there and - that achievement was put in the valley of triumph because it was literally a triumph
Woah actually
The eden elder has never been to the megabird so, they probably would be EXTREMELY fascinated by the megabird
Yes that explains the fascination with the stars which trace back to primitive times
do we “reach” the stars when in orbit
I don't think so
depends on what you think is a star
The rescued children will leave behind candles and then ascend u can see them turn into stars
currently there are 3 different definitions of stars running around lmao
Do any of you think that this game could be at all related to journey... I'm still addicted to it- qwq
It definitely has some journey parts but it’s a different world
Whoa the screenshoot that @desert sun shared about Reika statement on citadel is like validation to why i said that the wasteland is like dump site. I too think the valley that in general a rich and civilised city (citadel is part of it), hid behind an ugly truth, or literally underneath it as what reika said "goes all the way down.. Under the clouds where the lights don't reach are kind of like slum." well the wasteland is below valley, we fall down hard to the ground from the clouds after we pass through valley. If take her word literally, I'd say wasteland is the dark ugly truth from all the advancement of the city.
We dunno if she was referring to wasteland specifically
citadel looks very expensive tho ngl
We dunno if she was referring to wasteland specifically
@sly kestrel of course not, she don't want to spill the beans, but yeah only if taken her word literally, that could have make sense

@pearl void maybe the wasteland is like a "slum" city with factory workers and cheap labor (necessary for industrial expansion and construction). Reminds me of the gilded age
this has probably been said before
but what if skykids are diamond-powered machines created by the spirits to save the fallen?
somewhat like wall-e
Ur the first one to say this
fr ?
i just think it’s interesting how they have limited flying power (like a rechargeable battery) and the forehead diamond is the biggest hint imo
also the glowing light circle on the stomach area and eyes
I don't think so other than our light's color being different (we glow orange). If you noticed, power diamonds glow blue. Furthermore, if we are created by the ancestors why do we ascend at the end of the game with the other creatures. How are we reborn? Why in our simplest form we don't see a power diamond but something that resembles a winged light @minor adder
Sorry to switch topics a little bit but I’m a little confused about eden. What are the statues in eden? Are we saving our past selves from the storm, our past failed attempts? Do you believe the statues died all in one fell swoop or one by one? Were they also sent to sky but failed at the last hurdle?
I’d love to hear everyone’s interpretation of this part of eden
I wonder if statues are fallen sky kids who die giving up winged light. We are too but when someone gives them winged light they are then reborn.
After Eden u seen these children turn into stars I doubt they are like us
If you think about it when we die in Eden we become a blue light just like the wings we give to statues @mossy bay
But we also see other sky kids flying with us
After we die
Ah I see. So when we die we turn into a statue just the same until someone comes along and give us a winged light like we have to the other statues?
They are also same size and shape of us. The spirits seem to be larger in my opinion. It’s just a thought though.
And we limp towards that gifted light in the final scene?
@mossy bay yes that was my impression I could be wrong though.
Are there any thoughts on the big fish or dragon or whatever it is we see in Forest, between Isle and Prairie and after we die in Eden?
Yes what is that thing?
Pretty sure we are different from the kids at eden
Oh okay it moves like a whale
After all, we don’t turn into statues when we die. Plus they are bigger
it doesnt look like a whale but we and the devs refer it as such
Maybe we do become same color as statues and move slower and slower. It’s just a though though.
it doesnt look like a whale but we and the devs refer it as such
@spring blaze it resembles more of a coelacanth but that doesn't roll off the tongue
And the name tuna king is a lil nickname from the devs
yep
love em
Lol a friend thought it was a type of krill but I didn’t think so
@sly kestrel what do u think is our relationship to the child of light
i watched another person lose all their stars and they wake up in the void with a winged light.
if u die in eden u wake up in the same place but this time the "light" isn't shinying and the child of light is sitting down
i didn't say: do we have a relationship with them. i said what is our relationship (wait nm i read it wrong sorry :I )
i think that the winged lights as the imprint of the child light together form the essence of the child of light. i think that the child of light represents the entire star system. that is why when u return the winged lights to the eden children to go up to heaven (their bodies) (when they both have a form and a light)
but what distinguishes us that we don't return to the stars after we die we are reborn
in all other sense we are appear very similar
so I think that we are merely a second body of the child of light (or the star system) - they explains why we can contain stars and the stars we get eventually go to the sky (join the first body)
so we form an invisible cycle or bond, in which the first body helps regulate the second body (vice versa)
if the first body is of the heavens then we are of the earth
it is like when light creatures evolve they go to earth with fresh light and then leave in old age to the heavens with spent light. we go to earth without many wings to collect the fallen stars and we take them to the sky for them to fall again. when they fall their souls and physical forms separate, so their physical forms fall through the beam of light in eden (like rocks) - while their souls fall, scattered across the realms (like feathers)
maybe this cycle was a recent development. the opening vision showed the winged lights falling after the fall of the civilization so maybe megabird had to create this cycle in order to bestow light and help the civilization rest by knowing their history, freeing the spirits and the elders.
i dk how this ties into stars falling beforehand...maybe they were not dying stars but simply blessings of stars that megabird sent down to help the ancestors
Wow. That’s a lot of text
@plush moonkinda like how gods need humans for worship and vice versa,ie the heavenly winged lights and the earthy us
So we sustain them through eden and in return are reborn?
i think so we sustain the child of light (the stars) by restoring them and they sustain us by giving us wings. i think this is overall forms a part of the system of Light, hence Child or Children. i think the other part involves the light creatures @stuck fjord
Anyone think there might be some significance to the seasonal light colors/locations? Based on the preview pix and what we’ve seen in live so far, we may end up with two complementary color triads: red, blue, and green (primary colors of light); cyan, magenta, and yellow (primary colors of pigment). Red is Wasteland, blue is Valley, cyan is Prairie (or maybe technically Isle; it isn’t in the same area as Prairie’s seasonal candles)...? Do complementary color pairs (red/cyan, blue/yellow, green/magenta iirc) mark realms as “opposites” in some way?
Interesting
But sadly no yellow light, it’s probably the orange you’re referring to?
There might be some correspondence, though I personally believe the lights simply match the realms, and the realms themselves could be opposites, hence the lights would be opposite. I don’t think that made any sense but uhm...
Have you noticed how isle and prairie’s seasonal spirits dressed up like compared to the other spirits? They both don’t have capes and their hairstyles are like villager style. Maybe this shows isle and prairie spirits are less privileged than other spirits? Notice when you look at the constellation, no capes to buy in isle but only one cape in prairie.
Makes me think that the capes are for chosen people or people with a high rank? Or at least something special in them that gave them that cape and gives it a distinct color
@maiden glen hey can you upload those to something like drop box? I can see your personal info through google drive

Light the matpat signal. xD
Hey guys, I usually am not super active (although I read the chat I don’t talk much ;w;) but I was reading ur theories on the war in the wasteland and the light shield vs diamond shield. Wanted to clarify what side the Wasteland elder was on? Cuz I heard u guys say he was on the diamond side but I was recently at his temple and he has a light shield :/
A theory: he changed sides after the war (took a shield from a light faction soldier) and used it in his battles against krill (the desolation his victory caused)
I’m thinking, what if the valley twins were not the first elder/s for the valley realm. Like how young they were among other elders. There’s no evidence of a past elder, but it’s just a thought q:

@fiery condor i think that their appearance is more symbolic - they are young, (in their prime years), fitting in with the theme of their physical, technological, and intellectual triumph - tall, athletic, agile, brave, and clever
Mmm a point there
(ok, so i'm new) the Forest Elder is the same height as them too? She could be just as young?
i believe that she's the same height from screenshots - appears as young - her outfit is quite angular and uses straight lines (alluding to the power diamonds) - she seems dignified and regal - and the cutscene shows her as ambitious and proud (of her craft). she seems to fit with the reserved and aloof atmosphere of the forest with the towering trees and the muted cool colors @blazing terrace
I believe so
So i have some spare time, and make a real quick rewatch for vault spirits emote. Idk if anyone have done this, but I've been trying to relate the spirits life to the realm they are in. I've written about wasteland before here
https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/706880541085139016
Vault have 5 spirit emotes. The first one is
Pray spirit behind the 4 player telekinesis door. He walks around from one stone to another which seems like tombstones and stop at the top of the ramp and pray. I like to think that these tombstones are the grave of the workers, who died during the vault construction.
Telekinesis spirit behind the 4 player lift up door. At the end of the scene, the spirit manage to lift up the vessel from the ground using telekinesis. This might suggest that these scholars have found a way to develop and use magic, psychic power. This is also i think how they arrange all the vessels on the shelves despite also having tall ladders. Maybe the ladders were used before they know how to use telekinesis. On the side note, i think vault store virtual informations like memory inside the vessels, instead of physical things like books in the library.
Polite stance. Idk how to relate this to vault. Maybe a form of meditation to realise one potential or spiritual power.
The manta call. Reveals that the light creature have bones. Also hint that the bones in the vault are of those whale/manta.
Levitate spirit. May hint that the spirits can learn various magics. But i don't understand why he have a chair on his back, what is the relation to vault.
that’s a cool theory. kinda working out what the realms was about based on their emote.
also, i saw in the docs document that there had been some theories of the krill being robots or something similar and i just wanna add some more to that. When theyre on their route their movements are very smooth as its probably something theyve been programmed to, but when they see someone and the person gets to hide, when it resumes to their route the movements are very stiff and kind of goes as a wave down their body which makes it look more robotic. also just the fact that they have routes is also an indicator of them being robots as real living creatures wouldnt really have routes that can be observed and taken into consideration as the krill's routes can.
also, @pearl void , you should definetely save those theories for the individual realms in your notes or something as they can be added to the docs that someone in here made which is full of theories written in here
maybe the rain in forest damages you because all the clouds block your main source of light, the sun. So swimming in puddles or general water is fine because its in the light, and that's the difference between pools of water and rain
Me and a friend looked at the murals in the crab cave in Ark
the crabs used to be peaceful
@fickle lintel theres also theories that forest temple and wasteland temple is the same just in different time periods, so it could be the start of everything being polluted and gross.
but because the sky kingdom took so much water from their pools, they attacked back
huh
crab spirit was trying to make peace with the crabs
also nice pronouns @novel kettle! :D
thank you lmao
nonbinary gang
yeet
nonb gang rise up 😎
woop woop
ooooooooh events are planned alongside the seasons!
ohhhhh
Or maybe we've already seen events, those might be the double hearts/seasonal/normal candles we've had happen

i know that all the places added from previous seasons have stayed. for example the two player door in vault
So the Forgotten Ark has a chance of hanging around, then?
most likely
now its just whether it will turn back to the first state with the pollution or if it will remain healed like its being now
also, @violet pagoda isnt that underfell pappy in your pfp??????
Yep, yep he is!
ayyyyyy
Undertale gang 😎
i havent played it myself but ive watched a gameplay.
i kinda wanna try to play it thooo
You should!! It's worth going through yourself even if you know the endings
yeah. my sis has it. its just about convincing my parents to let me get it
ooooooooh events are planned alongside the seasons!
@hollow pier Halloween, Christmas, valentine's day
I think were those past events
days of spring too if you’d count that
I wouldn’t consider an iap and a dress up just the office a seasonal event personally
i heard that office is a wip. so it will be interesting to see when they finish it
Idk if sharing link is appropriate or not, but this is an up close tuna king, the head resemble the krill, more the reason to believe that the krill is corrupted version of the tuna king
https://youtu.be/8gcDqN51o5A
I don’t get how u guys see it
Krills and whales look nothing alike, and Ik everyone has their own views and opinions but I’m jus rlly confused rn
Also the head.....if u wanna clear view of what the head looks like, there’s a corpse of the whale in the hidden forest
I was right, this is a rock
I think in Forest they were mining this kind of rocks
We can also see them when revealing the mini cave spirit's memories
Here
Does anyone have a rlly good view of the huge mountain and the giant cloud above it, I have an idea
like this?
@sly kestrel what's the idea? Don't keep us hanging :P
@bronze bison
Yey
wooo
It’s fine, I’ll jus get my own pic
I jus need a good view of the cloud above the mountain
They not accept poor like me
ooooooooh events are planned alongside the seasons!
@hollow pier can you guys explaine what is this.. i kind of confuse on that map.. i know it Sky maps but what are those "season ( all realms )and events ( all realms)?
I’m kinda confused too
Hage sent a pic about seasons and events earlier and even tho I’ve been in this chat for quite a while, I’ve NEVER seen it before
That picture is very clearly from back in the aviary days
maybe "season" meant to be changes in realms (like the ice rink at home) and and "events" meant to be some limited-time quests and spirits added to the realms (like the seasons we have now), but that's just my guess
If you have played other online games you may know that something like "Season of XX" in Sky is usually called an event
@ornate anchor Pinging you here since it’s more relevant to theme of the channel, my thought is that this is the place where the glowing kid cutscene takes place
Since both the diamond and the cutscene place shoot a mildly chaotic stream of light
Maybe getting to the invisible wall was never truly intended
So it would always look as some distant goal
And then bam you’re inside it
Okay, so it is an object
I guess?
Much of the lore and world elements is up to interpretation
That’s just my take on it, I’m sure there have been others before here
How was the ice rink before?
home ice rink?
@ornate anchor it's an object, probably a broken octahedron https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/703977843075579966
Oh wow

"Eyes on sky?"

^ Hey look it’s my character
Thats so scary lol
I have a lore discussion that’s gonna pet all your peeves
@lavish terrace how could that happen?? Hahah
That face pets my peeve
They not accept poor like me
@abstract kelp where is this from?
Elders
•The guide
•The protector
•The blacksmith
•The athletes
•The warrior
•The guardian
@abstract kelp where is this from?
@torn grove vault of knowledge
Hey Lore ppl. What is the citadel? Why are there floating rings in the sky there? Like, is it just there for decoration? How'd those even get there??
advanced alien anti-gravity tech
@reef plover not sure I can provide a definitive answer, but the citadel is like the "pinnacle" of the ancestors society, and was called the oratory, so could be considered a place of worship.
The central spinning sphere is tilted (or Reika hoped) at the same angle as the earth, so my interpretation, is that it's like a armillary, so was used to study the sky and stars.
I’m not the most scientifically correct person out there
But I did tilt that 23.5 degrees when I made it
I hope I got that right
Reika
Does anyone have a rlly good view of the huge mountain and the giant cloud above it, I have an idea
@sly kestrel
I have a photo of the mountain from each world in sky (GW and Vault not included cuz u can’t see it from there) as well as some from Eden, if u would like
I have a close up of the end of Eden
The white thing
Do you know what this broken thing is?
Current thoughts are it's a giant power diamond, as we see the Forest and Vault elders using
If anyone ever needs them
I took these to see if the mountain got any closer as we progressed through the lands, cuz I originally assumed that the world progression was very linear
are elders in orbit taller than usual?
it's an object, probably a broken octahedron https://discordapp.com/channels/575762611111592007/632004389137154048/703977843075579966
@carmine saffron
Alr, guys! Sorry, I forgot to bring you lore yesterday. Actually, I forgot altogether, until I saw this on a candle run:
I also got a few others, this one to back up the one about butterflies being artificial
I also noticed the spirit in the 2 player door was building a few other things
I think this spirit, or maybe the people of daylight prairie, made a lot of the tools we see in Sky today, such as the height measuring light thing
And the ladder
And the B O A T S
ye
A war?? I’m very new... could someone explain just a bit about that that? 😄
@sly kestrel GW oob
That’s perfect u guys, thank you
@ripe cloak there’s a link to a docs document where someone added all the theories written in here. check that out and you should be pretty much up to date
Ehhhh butter gave up after a while and a lot of the stuff I said before, it doesn’t really make sense anymore. It was jus my ideas at the time but u can read it if u want
@novel kettle thank you
you’re welcome
What if spirit mantas aren't dead mantas but extinct ones. They are at a different evolutionary stage and are "extinct" because of wasteland's manta-ing. That explains their different, more complex design
Or maybe they're endangered and the last few specimens are kept safe inside the vault?
Are those rock supposed to signify something?
they're clocks
the bottom one indicates the time of the rainbow (I think it's when the dots align)
Ok thanks
Or maybe they're endangered and the last few specimens are kept safe inside the vault?
@heady sinew the mantas may be holograms...
@cold steppe But what’s the top clock?
K, thanks
Jus a little thought that came across my head yesterday.....
@hollow pier what do you think?
Is like a early concept of the mega bird?
@sly kestrel I think that’s a cap cloud? A cloud on top of a lot of y’all mountains, but the volcano idea is cool :0
i don't think megabird is a cloud...and you see the stream of light going thru it - megabird is probably higher than that @sly kestrel
Also, what’s even the deal with this megabird? I never saw it
Seems to be a real big deal tho
some theorists see it as God, so it's kinda important
Wait what
Plausible @sly kestrel but i think that beam of light goes straight up to the megabird and not through
@stark marten
Oh cool (writes it in fanfic ideas doc)
One thing that I noticed and wanted to share
If you look closely, spirits with capes don’t have stars. This means they weren’t able to boost.
That makes you think
How did they even get around?
B O A T S
remember the vault - some spirits learned "magic"
maybe it was just harnessing power diamonds?
remember the vault - some spirits learned "magic"
@plush moon
Of course, see the enchantment spirits
crab spirit - that's all I remember
But we never see them...y know, actually flying, or using light, or candles
Like the Whale Cave
@hushed steeple yea I thought that was strange and they created some kind of doorway there?
and the only option was to fly there?
Yeah
The forbidden door
Aka the most frustrating star to get
Together with the one on the first arch in wasteland
ikr
It’s on a really tight space
why was that place blocked off
Boats can’t really go through it
It's very possible that there were other means of transportation beforehand that got destroyed in the mass extinction
And we never see a boat there
TGC is adding new things all the time, after all
maybe they can r
ide mantas
Also....
The humans don’t seem to be made of light...
Are they like, hybrids of Light and Darkness?
Maybe? Or maybe they were neither? Obviously relevant humans who dedicated themselves to the light became part of the constellations when they passed, but the rest seem to have just kinda...disappeared.
@violet pagoda the disappearing part is easy...they all died with the corruption
i think humans are neither light nor dark nor both
The dark plants, know
Maybe
Well, okay, yeah, they all died in that event but I don't think the dark plants are their remains
i think humans are neither light nor dark nor both
@plush moon
So if that’s the case, so is the world of sky like a copy of Earth, and the whole game is some really recluse place in Asia or something where only a few humans reached, and since it’s so close to the Orbit Kingdom, it changed its surroundings to have more Light
Well, okay, yeah, they all died in that event but I don't think the dark plants are their remains
@violet pagoda
There are graves tho
The crying spirit
but there are flying islands .-.
She was crying
that's certainly not earthly
In the graves of her friends
that's certainly not earthly
@plush moon
As I said...a copy of earth, but they are close to the space kingdom, the light kinda leaked to the planet and changed things and creating a new ecosystem
Okay but here's a big question. Are the statues in Eden human or are they skykids?
Okay but here's a big question. Are the statues in Eden human or are they skykids?
@violet pagoda
Previous skykids
In the cutscene were you break free, you can see some of them do the same
was that confirmed?
And the player turned to a statue aswell
@plush moon
As I said...a copy of earth, but they are close to the space kingdom, the light kinda leaked to the planet and changed things and creating a new ecosystem
@hushed steeple there's a theory about that - it relates to megabird and post-eden
That doesn't make sense though. Why were we able to break free on our own and they had to have the assistance of another person? Is it supposed to be implied that someone else came and helped us, and we're all trapped in an endless cycle?
And the player turned to a statue as well
@hushed steeple They didn't turn into a statue though, they turned into blue light.
Really?
Okay but here's a big question. Are the statues in Eden human or are they skykids?
@violet pagoda oh i answered that a while back. i created a monster ;-;
oh?
I guess that makes sense in a strange way? But I don't get what you mean by "Let civilization rest."
it's dead dude
Returning the corrupted human spirits to the sky to become part of a constellation again makes sense in terms of "Oh, these are part of us now so we have to protect them"
I understand that
i thought more of freeing them and releasing them from darkness
I'm just saying, what else is there to protect and "let rest" after those spirits have returned? The rest of the humans are dead. Is the megabird acting as a historian for what once was?
It looks like a giant cape
then they can rest and move on to heaven - then if u help them enough they are "alive" enough for the elders to ascend also
if u noticed after u unlock the wing buff the spirits turn a golden color
i think megabird felt pity for them and he wanted to show their history to us by allowing us to interact with spirits
It looks like a giant cape
@wide root and that dot is maybe the person we see in the opening vision in isle
Maybe so. Deities do tend to have different codes of morality.
Maybe it’s the war that did it
the vision showed them fall before the civilization prospered

is wind magic
