Hmm, I don’t know if it’s been discussed here but I’m certain that Wasteland isn’t a dessert. Its also snow just like valley. And that makes so much more sense :0 In the forgotten ark place theres a cave where one of the spirits are and the cave is very snow colored and white/blue and so is the rest of the forgotten ark land at certain perspectives.

@finite onyx if you go to a desert adjacent to a mountain range, the weather will be vastly different between the two. They is why mountain ranges can be so dangerous. One side will be sunny. The next will have a few feet of snow!

In fact, deserts occur after mountain ranges as the air pressure change through the mountains causes high precipitation and the air after the mountains is dry and doesn’t rain much creating a desert.

If you flew from the west coast of the northern US or Canada, you would begin at the ocean, pass over lush lands and rainforests, reach into high cold mountains and then reach prairies and desert.

I’m fact, the desert past the mountains in parts of Canada is called the badlands and is where many dinosaur bones are found! Quite reminiscent of the wasteland being near the snowy valley of triumph.

If you play journey you’ll see how the desert sand behaves like snow too.

Just from the murals it looks like 6 vault spirits fell from the boat so it’s the most feasible idea we have at the moment

The 4 classical elements were bound to gods generally, but there were normally more than 4 gods in a pantheon, adding other elements such as fate, war, knowledge etc.

So even though 4 appear classical elements, the others could be more abstract

I'm going to use Tolkiens pantheon as an example as it fits more regularly and comes to mind more easily for myself, there were "gods" of air, water, stars, plants, creatures etc. But there were also "gods" of fate/doom, story, forging etc.

Hey guys, recently i just finished eden and i still dont understand the theory of children of the light, darkness, spirit etc. Could someone explain it to me?

Maybe with purple, it is like "stored potential energy" in our world, and like in our world you wouldn't have electricity in your draw in its raw form, you would have stored electrical potential, such as batteries

@hushed steeple sure, though there are quite a few theories, the ones most have in common are:
Darkness came and stars fell, then something called us into awaking (from the intro)
That darkness is either directly or a result of the spirits using light, and so causing the storm in Eden one way or another (most likely to do with the giant diamond at the end)
As the children, we are returning the spirits back to orbit from the darkness that has bound them in the 6 kingdoms (as you see when you unlock an emote)

Most likely the thing they are returning to in orbit us the Megabird, which you see in the constellations above you in orbit, and in the credits when you leave to become reborn.

Hope that helps, but there is an entire ton you can dig into that, but hopefully that's a good cliff note to whet your appetite for theorizing.

Yes, so that is why after freeing a spirit, and sitting at the end temple with the elder, the spirit returns to the 6 kingdom constellations you see at home, or now at the end of each kingdom

The spirits "are" the stars (not sure if that's been fully confirmed, but like with all things in the lore channel, it's good to speculate and not be bound by it)

The spirits are clearly more than "just" stars as we know them

I have a theory that the children that we save at the eden are probably our past, cause the storyline makes a loop, we are born and gather the light, and then we restore the light and be one of those children statue.

I had pointed out before that the crab's shaking sequence (the one they do before attacking you) reminded me of dark plants being extinguished.
Today, I had a chance to look at them up close while walking normally and they wobble a lot like a boat tbh.
Considering the crabs have a bit of new lore in this season: we see the crab murals showing how Spirits took water from a crab habitat, and then I assume the other murals are the crabs getting angry and chasing the people away.
Since crabs might have a mimicking behaviour in order to survive, they copy the movements of things they might find threatening in order to frighten posible predators (dark plants and maybe Krill/Dark Dragons too) (Kind of like a "if this thing scares me this might scare dangerous things too" logic)
Since Spirits have been taking water from the crab's habitat, the crabs feel threatened by boats (boats = spirits taking things away from our home = threat) and maybe their walkcycle is related to a boat's sway that way

I agree with your point about them mimicking the krills, their eyes turn red, they charge at us and send us flying.

I think the mimicking dark plants and boats idea is a bit of a stretch though I think they ‘shake’ when their riled up. Just how a bull kicks it’s legs before it charges at you, it’s just preparing to attack

They look like their made out of dark stone, the exact same as the boats and if you leave them alone they just turn into pebbles.

BTW the dev said "elders were always elders" in response to the question whether the Skykids will grow up to be elders or not, so that comment may only meant the elders are of their own species.
TGC have translated Elders to 大精霊 (Great Spirits, or Big Spirits), so it's possible that they said "elders were always elders" to make it also clear that Elders are not the same species as 精霊 (Spirits; normal/seasonal spirits), either.
But I've also seen a Japanese player saying Elders were never children based on that livestream comment, so regardless of the language, it's up to our interpretation.

Watching crabs can be very peaceful in the hide’n’seek cave, since it has good lighting and if you just stay down after they knock you over, they don’t bother you anymore

Woven rather than knitted, thick enough to be opaque to light, maybe two layers bc diff inner/outer colors. Depends what visual effect you’re looking for— fully charged capes tend to be matte, but there’s often an ombre effect when charging

The stars sometimes show partial clipping which could be somewhat mimicked with high velvet nap or conversely somekinda mylar or lenticular material for the stars

Easiest material prb fleece or felt, something that doesn’t fray when cut, but those will be hot in summer

Without a monarch, everyone could fight for throne but came up with best decision to rule their own without any influence on each other.

yeah, like the 6 surrounding the figure (3 on each side maybe) could be the elders, and yeah, the giant looks like a king because it looks like there's a crown on their head

the favorite friends constellation was (I think, checking lore now) originally planned as the Eden constellation but that whole concept of the king and/or the elder was scrapped so it's just for friends now
