ah i know this has already been discussed but i feel the need to talk about the ark lore again lol
so to start off.... some people saw this thing in the sky, it was a magic something, the people that got the something wanted to take it to people that have more knowledge (people in the vault of knowledge) and to figure out what it was. the vault people saw it and knew what it was... elements.... they decided to put them in orbs to contain their power/magic. vault people gave the orbs to the finders of the elements (perhaps the finders were the 6 spirits we see at the ark?) once the power/magic within the orbs was released it spread..... kind of like water in a water balloon, water is still when itās alone but when itās in a balloon the balloon will eventually help the water spread...... one day the vault people set out a journey to go to wasteland to restore the polluted land. but a storm came and made the ark go off corse making the vault people fall to the land we now see. also would like to point out that the symbols on the ark have a vault person on one boat carrying one element... i say this means they brought back up elements of what they thought they needed the most like restoring clean water. the land had some life but still looked like wasteland. thereās windy sand so they had to adapt to their environment by wearing mask. they also made a garden. but one day a few crabs came along.... it was nothing to worry about for them really.... until the crabs polluted the water (i guess with their poop š© lol) and the crabs also started to repopulate.. making crab babies..and little by little the darkness came over the light making the mantas go away and other life. with this darkness coming it attracted the krill which definitely scared the mantas away. the survivors couldnāt walk back to safety because it was to far and there was not enough food AND their gardens were dying out and there was no more fresh water.. so the survivors sadly died š

Here is my theory of the crabs I have another one about the ark but I need to write it still
The Line the crabs were standing on is the water level of the lake they lived in. I mistakenly thought it was the horizon because they are standing on it, but it makes sense. When there were only creatures in this area everything was fine and the land blossomed.
Slowly and slowly the spirits started to take from what already seems to be a very limited water source. Also notice that there are little clouds in the sky at this time which could mean that there was a drought, a long period of time without water and the spirits still kept using up the water.
Finally the water source had been exhausted and what was left of it had become murky and inhabitable for the crabs, who slowly watched the spirits ruin their home. The spirits attempted to purify the water but it didnāt work which then lead to the corruption of the crabs. The āstoneā in the middle of the lake is actually another pot to carry water. The mantas flew away the the spirits ran away from the crabs who turned on them for ruining their home.

but this clashes with the theory that the spirits were there to try and restore the wasteland in the first place, since I reckon they wouldn't continue destroying the place afterwards

My theory is that they're running away from a krill and their ark crashed after going through the storm. While they're waiting for repairs, the painter is commissioned to record their experience on the side of the boat. Basically a story of what happened.

I've been reading the lore Doc, and I have a new theory: What if there were more elders? What if back in Orbit, where I assume they came from, there was a hierarchy; those who generated light (Light Creatures), those who absorbed/used light (Winged Light, us Sky Children, Eden-Winged-Children), and those who guarded the light (the people we call "Elders"). When they were forced to come down for some unknown reason, I feel that creatures of light were unable to reproduce, hence the presence of eggs, but the eggs never hatching. So, a theory that ties into this is DrapTrap#6226's, in which they had to start harvesting the creatures' light to survive. This turned them either into Ghost Mantas (If they didn't go too far, according to DrapTrap), or Krill, because some realms didn't care if the creatures kept their light. Hence, the civil war (suggested by Granny Pigeon). They fought over how their beloved creatures of light should be treated. Unfortunately, the side who wanted to completely drain the light creatures succeeded in one way for a short time; producing the Diamond Eye (credit to Ren). Their plan backfired. The newly formed krill attacked all who possessed light, as it had once been theirs, and wrongly stolen from them. Golden Wasteland was the only realm who didn't choose a side, and fought to defeat the dark creatures, hence both the Diamond on the spear, and the Sunburst on the shield (suggested by Rose.in.the.wind). So, desperate, Hidden Forest and Company funneled all the dark creatures to Golden Wasteland. The Elder people fought as hard as they could, but it wasn't enough.
The fallen elder's weapons, too big for a normal Sky Child/Winged Child, lay where the krill had struck them down. Only one Elder had survived in each realm, the rest killed by the war, and the terrible darkness the Diamond Clan had brought upon the world of the surface. Oh, credit for the weapon idea to legokidlogan. Fortunately, the Elders of Wasteland had managed to kill off most of the krill, but still some remain. An explanation for why that is, is look at how you find the Wasteland Elder in the temple. Barely alive. The rest of the Krill escaped to Eden, and ravaged the place, where the Diamond Eye (credit to Ren) was just beginning to go out of control because of the restraint rocks. The Diamond Eye may have been able to produce more light, but the krill had arrived there, and started feeding off of it, making not one but 2 things absorb the Diamond Eye's light. When the Krill absorb the Diamond Eye's light, its energy goes into negative numbers, and it began to produce the light-absorbing rocks. Every so often, the Diamond Eye produces real light, and the krill readily absorb it before it drops back into negative numbers. That's to explain why the Krill stick around and guard Eden. And, that's where we start off as Sky kids

It's Ok though. The gist of it is that there used to be multiple elders, they came down from some unknown accident, Light creatures couldn't reproduce, so everyone decided to Siphon light from the poor light creatures. However, some left the Creatures with some light, some didn't. Hence, Civil war between the Diamond Clan, which represents the storing of light in diamonds, and the Sunburst Clan, which represents free light
Some elders decided Siphoning wasn't worth it, so they tried to make a self sustaining light source, called the Diamond Eye, and attached light sucking rocks to the Diamond. Then, the creatures w/o light took revenge, killed all but one of each of the Elders in each realm, and went into eden to absorb the Diamond's light, turning the Diamond Negative from all the combined siphoning of light. The elders who survived had locked themselves in the temples, so the Krill couldn't get to them
