Hey people: We always theorize about krills-they're manmade, they were actually light creatures etc. But what about crabs?
It's just a random theory that came to my mind:Crabs were actually machines made by wasteland people, if we think of wasteland as a diamond production site. Another theory told is forest and wasteland were connected to trade diamonds etc. That explains how forest has some crabs too. And if crabs were machines, in the 'war', wasteland people may've used them to hurt weak ones of the other side. Crabs don't do anything to krills even if they touch the ground(yeah I know they fly but when we fly too they do charge at us). They may've set them to charge if they saw anyone, and attack with full power. Because of the 'oil', they are weak against deep calls.

Just a new theory: Crabs are made by Wasteland during the days of war. They were man made food. Undermining 'forest and wasteland were connected', wasteland helped both sides we said because of the shield having sun and spear having diamond right? Wasteland elder changed sides. Forest was diamond, when wasteland was also diamond, wasteland made those crabs as a kind of meal. When wasteland changed sides, the land broke apart from forest. Because wasteland stopped giving crabs to forest, the crabs in forest nearly became extinct. After the war, when the 'oil' appeared, the crabs got affected and charged against everyone, especially the ones tried to eat them. And again like the last theory, that's why they're weak against deep calls. That was how only wasteland caught them while the war.
It may just be a bad theory because I wasnt that into the lore...

But afterwards they lost their wings
And fell, evident from the beginning cinematic
But then settled
In valley and prairie and forest

Before all of these events, there were our great ancestors living in the sky and the very stars themselves, ruled by a single Monarch
But then some great disaster happens
Something of their own doing
That results in the storm and the shattering of Eden
Throwing our ancestors down below
Perhaps they got too greedy with the light and tried to manipulate it in some ways? Some sort of metaphor to pollution, global warming etc.
Anyways
They all fell and settled in 4 different places
They landed in isle, built boats and started traveling
Then they built homes in the prairie and learned to harness the light by shaping it in small ways
Such as butterflies or fireworks or controlling birds
And then they settled further in the forest
Where they began to ponder how to get home
And this wanting corrupted them
The forest elder, in her frustration creates a new device
Or rather a smaller version, of the levitating crystal at the heart of the storm
Think of it as when iron man figures out how to make the ark reactor smaller
It’s great and all but backfires in the wrong hands
Anyways they become consumed with trying to reclaiming their homeland and something else happens that results in the krill
Everywhere that they’ve taken light or shaped it, there are remnants of darkness
The only places where they haven’t and where there are no plants or crabs is isle
It’s seems their greed to return home ended up sucking up a lot of the light and corrupting many of these creatures

Well what bigger resource than a sky whale
Hunted and extracted for light to near extinction, for all but one
Their skeletons corrupting and mutating, becoming the krill
All of this happening while they distract themselves in entertainment, oblivious to what the elders are doing behind closed doors

Like in Ancient Rome when the emperors would put on great dazzling shows in the arena
To district from the political atmosphere
And it’s all for naught
The krill overwhelm, they seize and invade the now barren and industrialized dessert land of the golden wasteland
And to survive they must fight
A Great War

Maybe not seeing as how there’s dozens still left
They lose the war, and fail to wipe out the infestation
In a last ditch attempt to save their species the last great warrior ancestor holds them off while his people escape behind him

Leaving behind knowledge for any that would come upon the library

Everywhere you go there are stars scattered

As all our ancestors die out

For some strange reason, the will of the monarch has reached out across all these years, decades, centuries, millennia, and for the first time in a long time

Tasked with reliving the stories and memories of its ancestors

The ancestors (elders) came wayyy before the disaster and they fell from the sky. They are the ones that helped the people on the ground build their civilization and they are an entirely different race than the people on the ground. And the skykids came after the disaster of the civilization to bring back the elders and restore them back their original home. The ancestors didn’t start their life on the ground. But anyways u actually got some stuff on point.....and sadly the king is no longer in the game

A while back my friend pointed out the similarities between wastelands broken temple (the area before graveyard) and the forest temple.
The forest temple was referred to in concepts as a “diamond factory” and as wasteland is heavily industrialized 👀
Forest and Wasteland seem to be the big industrial producers of the realms while Isle and Prairie are the natural producers. Valley is likely the capital (since Eden was likely closed per the opening of the game, the elders and spirits being cast away by what is presumed to be something similar to the “king” or Edens Elder who held he highest power) and vault was the mega library hahaaaa

OK BUT BASICALLY, Forest and Wasteland were likely heavily allied and were partners in providing diamonds/power. As Forest made the mechanism that we see in its temple, it may have been expanded to the Wasteland to provide power for it as well ( they are both darker realms and can’t rely on natural light as a power source)
Further on Prairie and Isle were large parts in collecting and sharing natural light such as the birds and butterflies. Valley seems to be mostly a consumer, no indication of gathering or work at all other than activities such as sports and races.

Valley used the technology made from the artificial diamonds and thrived from it. Prairie’s job was to send pots of light using their boats to send to forest. Prairie also supported the light and favored creatures and connection to the organic flame instead of artificial flame. But anyways, prairie sent light pots using their boats and forest used those pots and combined them organic material to form power diamonds

Personally I like to think that the kids in eden are early skykids the megabird created.. And they had a slightly different mission, theirs was to attempt to restore the realms after eden fall out (they built social spaces, put up graves/spirit stones). And the active skykids today are perfected and don't need as much assistance to be reborn and go into orbit.

@stark marten there's also the manta one in prairie Bell towers, and a more jellyfish looking one on the last tower of forests broken bridge.
I have the feeling they were for summoning or honoring the creatures, as with the manta one in prairie, once you ring the 3 bells and the manta constellation stone lights up, the manta appear.
There's also a bit of an Easter egg (or rather not fully removed functionality) that sitting on these (certainly the birds nests, bell towers manta and caves one) with over a certain number of players with you, you hear chimes (like when you sit at the elder temples) and eventually smoke appears and some fragments of light appear. Previously (before live launch), collecting these made a creature appear, and you would get a candle, but now it does nothing.
The same happens in the forest temple on a stone to the right on the ground floor, in an alcove,which used to open the doors, again pre-global live stuff.

I’m currently drawing out the basic paths of all the areas to see if the level of where they are correlate to environment
Like the deeper it goes the sandier it gets while life occurs more on the top
And it’s darker and gloomier under the clouds
So I’ve concluded this.
Civilization happens above the clouds. The Prairie and the Valley are above for example. The Valley is the highest peak and therefore has the most civilians. Proven by all the buildings. It is also the coldest as ice and snow are its terrain. The isle is in the middle for clouds to appear but things are below them. The forest is under the clouds, yet it is not too deep it just rains. However, this rain makes it hard to live and therefore buildings of attempts are crumbling to the environment. Yet it can be inferred it was once part of the prairie for how close and similar the grassy terrain is and the prairie monument directly connecting to the forest. The deeper in the clouds is the wasteland. We can see through the before hub inner clouds and some OOB that valley buildings are at its top. Possibly meaning the clouds too shifted and blocked this area. Yet deeper.. and deeper.. we get the golden wasteland. An odd name for something so.. not golden. It’s sandy and polluted- destroyed. And most of all impossible to live in. Yet it’s building looks like a fort.. an area surrounding a castle.
Yet the vault is weird. It’s so clean and perfect in such a place. Yet it’s newest place implies it’s possible true destruction with the walls breaking off.. is this galaxy like place just an illusion? In a sense it’s somewhat like the below basement of a castle. Or an elevator. With next stop being what was eden. The highest peak. However it’s in utter shambles due to a, b, and c.
But as it was highest peak, it was where the castle lays. Buildings and boats are seen everywhere- people of sky must of inhabited it at some point. Plus, in all of eden before getting shattered.. there are no clouds.

I’d like to think that the ||statues are the past sky kids that died and you give them light to revive them so they can rebirth. And eventually someone comes along and does the same for you. It’s an endless cycle and it makes sense since there are always people doing eden so the rebirth time wouldn’t be to long lol||

Well the pots carry light that is used for power diamonds and since we seen the praire elder put butterflies in the pots and since some of the spirits collected butterflies....I think we have to assume that they did slaughter the butterflies for their power diamonds

we sky kids are the new descendants blessed with wings by the Megabird cuz the last generation were not able to fly by their own but making use of their technology (floating boats) and since those method of transportation are destroyed, we need wings to move around . Also that’s why we have to recolector all those winged lights( the lost souls).

In this pic we can see the king holding the dark crystal while being trapped under the storm or darkness sorrouding him. On his sides we see 6 pillars thwt represent the 6 elders we see in the game. Above them u can see like wind blowing which may represent the storm itself powered by the elders’ crystals. . At the bottom of the pic we see 18 monkey looking statues wich are the same amount of shrines we see in the tunnel before last area in Eden. Also, you can see there are lines connecting the shrines and lines connectiong the elders kinda representing How they holding or had trapped the king under the storm.
And maybe those shrines represent those who helped and sacrificed their lives

i do believe parts of the timelien. just not the entire thing
specifically the ark bit. eden is pretty much just a mountain, plus the massive diamond isnt in the timeline. the diamond is a big part of the eden lore in the live game
im sure tgc tries to put their vision of the game in live whilst trying to keep money and resources stable. thats the thing that sucks. imagination and creativity is free but once you try to make it to reality it costs
