Okay... so some spirits appeared to have kids... right? So that may mean that before all of Eden and stuff, perhaps there was a community or town of some sort? (That’s a weird way of wording it)
But if this idea that children of light grow up somewhat and can reproduce and parent their offspring, what happened to the protagonist’s family?
Basically, I decided to create my lil’ baby’s mom because why not.
I would really like to see (if the idea of towns/villages, prior to everyone’s untimely death I guess, is real) these towns and potentially spirits could live there?
I know, that makes no sense. But I would really like to see more depth to the protagonist and their history. I wanna visit a town that has spirits of parents, Warriors, shop owners, etc. I wanna see them just lowkey be there. Because in the valley of triumph, it looks like some remnants of a town were there, where did they go?

not sure if that’s a suggestion ^, but TGC has indicated the elders, sky spirits, and child of light are all different beings.

elders are more like deities to the sky ppl, and children of light seem more or less created from light to save those incapable of moving on. i remember someone in here talking about children of light not functioning the same as sky ppl, with respect to aging etc.

as far as cities go, I think the sky ppl colonized all the different realms, but eden and valley were major cities. i think of eden as their capital so to speak, likely where this king of theirs was.

since the elders fell from the stars and there is orbit, I also think there is an ascendant realm where they lived. tho i’m not sure if the child of light has any of that if they were created by elders for a specific task

I think with the pipes they are extracting light from the big diamond in eden then to wasteland (which i think used to be some place different before krills happened), then to valley all the way to forest to be distributed for more diamond productions for whatever machinery they’ll build, maybe because the diamond had too much to handle and cannot control itself anymore, the light in the pipes are liquified and turned dark.

So much to think about it’s hurting my braincells SkyScared

The pattern on top of the door looks like the portals in the home area- There’s also a star on top and the middle one looks like the Eden door- I don’t know if this has anything to do with the lore but— also the inside of this room looks like the picture in the vault constellation?? @stark marten the way I saw it is that there was this girl with some friends in the cave, idk why they were there but rocks collapsed on them and you can see the cry spirit and another friend try to get them out but sadly they died 😕. Then her other friend also died and idk how but a dark plant was around him and that’s when she built graves for all of them. Basically all her friends died and she was in the cave crying for it SkyCry

The design explanation for that is because the same model of the Eden portal we have now was taken from the aviary. Back then, you awakened in isle and after finishing the level you would go to the aviary and hear the prophecy about getting each elder blessing to face the storm (eden). Each level had a portal for you to visit and after you finished it, their mask would light up on the Eden gate and it would be available once all of them were lit

Isle wasn't really one of them, more like a prologue you would come back to after being reborn (you could still revisit isle, but it didn't have a portal like other levels)

#

Some people have the theory that isle and eden are related on the process of rebirth, and that's why it wasn't included before and now!

isle is so confusing. originally they wanted it to be a shipyard, then it was an intro level and the elder shipped the kids off to the next level on boats. and now, we just fly through the clouds to prairie and are shown a scene of isle elder being able to control light and birds. meanwhile in vault, we’re shown content from prerelease isle elder’s guidance to sky kids

the current isle temple seems to be on top of a boat (if you look at the terrain around it, it looks just like a boat). some people believe that there's where the kingdom started, and maybe all the boats departed from there

One where sky kids are angels, elders are gods, and sky spirits are humans of sorts.
The second one is that elders are gods and sky kids and spirits created a civilization of his own. Unfortunately, this came to an end because of the storm. Now the children are living in a beautiful post-apocalyptic world where they watch the spirits of their ancestors. Who all passed away.
I like to think that sky children had families and lives before the events of the game, and depending on whatever, they were ripped away from their family.
That’s just me... y’all can ignore me otherwise

The concept art of vault tells us that the sky kids go into vault to read ancient paintings, which show stories and memories. I’m assuming that means the little power source deals that light up the diamonds also serve as holographic hard drives . This is also seen in old prerelease screenshots

I just put this in suggestions what do you guys think

Idea for new land that would not mess with the lore. The land of the time before the battle. Maybe when the tensions were ramping up and the last days of civilization where happening. We could see the building of the great diamond in ||Eden|| look at the light extraction factory in forest, wander in the golden wasteland before the graveyard and see the krill when they where tame before they lost control of them. And go to vault of knowledge where the elders, fearing the end, where making the first sky kids to try to carry the light on. And we could put the portal here

@last wigeon i think a lot of that stuff could be covered in cutscenes, and i’ve suggested we have a in-game lore book to replay memories and have text to tell us about things we discovered. i always have to look up youtube videos to rewatch the spirit memories.

I wonder if whatever the elders feel (being joy, sadness or anger, etc) could affect their surroundings and the lifestyle of the other spirits. I thought of this one at one point while i was candle farming in forest, was thinking the toxic rain is happening because forest elder felt so sad and desprate she let out toxic rain in her realm

They do have some influence on the outside world too, it’s shown with the pot appearing in the prairie temple after the cutscene, also the forests door mechanism receiving its last diamond after the forest elder snatched the little flame you bring and repairs the diamond.

I don’t remember any other specifics but ya!

1_ Isle of Dawn : it’s the beginning of human life , where you lost and you’re not educated, that’s why it’s like desert .
2_ Daylight Prarie : it’s the childhood part where you go to school , you get education , the desert you were in turned to life , imagination and happiness .
3_ Hidden Forest : it’s the teenage part of your life , the rain that hurts you is the changes that your body goes through , it’s rough part because your thoughts are changing , your emotions! You feel depressed because of your changes that gets a lot of your energy however this won’t last long the rain won’t rain forever, at the end of your teenage-hood , your mental health and your body changes will be stable !
4_ Valley of Triumph : it’s the adulthood part , you will go through a lot and try to find a job and of course also you will lose a lot of friends but the real ones will stay with you and complete the race with you ! This part of life is really fast more than you imagine .
5_ Golden Wasteland : it’s the parenting part , it’s hard because of the children you got , you try to be the best parent ever and give your kids the love they want , you feel exhausted because of the challenges that you face you in the way (dragons) but these challenges worth going through , all you want to see is your kids smile ! Because these moments are like Gold to you
6 _ Vault of Knowledge: it’s the elderly part of your life , you gained a lot of information and a lot of experiences and it’s the point that you ready to leave this life
7_ eye of eyden : it’s the end , your soul left your body but you still want to stay with your kids and you still want to care and look after them but the light in the end tells that it’s ok , your kids are under my protection so you accept your destiny and you will go through your beautiful memories

Yeah @maiden glen it’s exactly what I was gonna say, I didn’t think of the right words to say. I do notice the pot replaced the candles after prairie cutscene too but I didn’t think about how elders would influence the outside world that time

Now that I’m seeing it again, I’m thinking why the rain stops when you light up the end of the bridge, my mind was like ‘what if the forest elder feel our presence’. Probably through the ring of the bells and she could hear it, thinking someone will come to the temple.

Imo vault elder was the strangest to me even from my first impression from them. The hair, the mask and why in eden their eyes are closed (yes, I do know it was inspired by some mythology?), their actions, mainly when they were kissing (or whispering something) the diamond before releasing it through the air

For Vault Elder, personally i thought it might happen within the Vault itself, perhaps something with the Archives?

As for Isle Elder, perhaps with the lack of lights, his mask slowly begins to crumble

hence the mask falling to pieces and blinding him

It’s also a bit odd the vault elder rarely stands. They always are sitting minus the one part of the cutscene. Even in the elder hair part the elder is sitting. Maybe this also has to do with the mask? Maybe the darkness of Eden being so close to the vault had something to do.

i had a random lore idea that i really like:
what if the entire game takes place inside the power diamond (the “eye” of eden), we children of light represent the power diamond gaining self-awareness, trying to understand itself by experiencing memories of the world

to me this could explain how the forest temple is also the first krill room in wasteland, and how the vault elder statues appear in eden (only in ruins).

Maybe the vault elder serves as another ruler of sorts? Considering the Eden elder is arguably a “king” of all with the castle being there at the very top and last. The vault seems to be a part of that castle with the entryway from vault to Eden looking like castle corridors. It’s hard to tell considering Eden is in shambles however.
