A couple friends took me to OOB in eden, and I got some really good pictures!!
Here we get a good look at the structure of eden and all the stuff surrounding it
The center seems to disrupt the gravity of everything around it, sort of like a miniature black hole..
The way it sucks the clouds of the planet towards it, and makes walls crumble and rocks float in midair clearly spells that something is going on with the physics here

I've always thought that the Vault is kind of a mind trip. It stands out as completely different from all the other places. You meditate to reach a new level of knowledge. The light creatures now look ethereal, not tangible. You can faze right through them. Everything floats strangely. It feels like an inner experience, especially with how you "wake up" in the same place that you started. Everything is in ruins like it was to begin with. However, the way behind you is closed while the path forward opens in front of you.
It's true that it's depicted as a tall building that links the wasteland to Eden like an elevator, but it's always given me that feeling.
It's taken me a long time to scroll through everything people have written up to here and now it's time for sleep. It's been neat seeing everyone's ideas.

Poor baby and her friends got trapped in the cave. Assuming either by falling through the ceiling or by cave-in.
They used tools to try to dig their way out to no avail.
Eventually, darkness started taking over. Mushrooms started growing on her friends assumedly killing them if not by dehydration/starvation.
Her friends were slowly picked off one by one until it was just her. Alone. Afraid. Sad.
She made small graves for her friends before she too perished alongside them.

Shes my favorite spirit. Its a shame that the darkness mushrooms are usually already burned by the time you activate her story sequence. You dont get the full immersion
That and it’s usually a race against other players to get the quest she gives so you cant really sit and pay attention to whats going on

Thinking about the krill thing. Real krill are tiny shrimps that live underwater, the krill in Sky are giant monsters that fly through the sky... but, they don't have wings! Maybe they're actually just tiny shrimp, we're even tinier, and the whole game is underwater 🤔 I just hope there are no giant crabs.

After having spent many hours on this, I’ve finally come up with my own interpretation of “Constellation”, the song that plays during the credits and partially during the opening sequence.
Here I will provide the original vocals written in our own alphabet, followed by an English interpretation (that isn’t a direct translation, but very close):
Original:
”Mên lo-oh di in-oh —

ni sou rev maôn hâriet,

Nae-oh lae-oh t’ed gân

@rocky wing Yes, you can touch it. You either phase through it or it has a small wind box that pushes you away. It’s a good harmless pickle fish.
And im not sure of its a dark or light version. I think it looks dark in wastes because of the lighting and it’s only really supposed to be seen from a distance. Kinda like the lochness monster appears black in photos of it because the picture was probably taken when sun was low and a shadow was cast on it.

im agreeing with @hybrid compass here...(it looks nothing like a whale to me haha..) i think its very heavily coelacanth inspired creature! Which I probably appreciate more than an whalecreature, feels like a nod to that taxa's antiquity, ethereal, almost lost presence (their numbers are extremely few as is) - i like how it fits in into the sky narrative of a lost civilization

Prairie Elder just chilling while having the locals doing their daily duties like the boat maker in the middle Bell tower.
Meanwhile Forest and Wasteland Elders were both responsible for the development of the buildings ( and possibly the destructions of the society )
Valley Elders on the other hand just wanna have fun hence seeing them goofing off in the cutscene.

What I don’t understand though is since there is SO MUCH lore behind the development of the game and especially in the first concepts, why did they not include all of that lore in the game? Today’s version seems like a very simple, surface-level game compared to what’s shown in the images.
I know that there is still a lot of lore, but it feels like there could be more available to us in-game that we’re missing out on.

The Sky social system design is an extension and continuation based on the previous work Journey. It profoundly reflected director's insight into human nature, and deep exploration of the positive aspect of the human emotions.

Designer has always been emphasizing a kind of lonely feeling of one born in a vast universe. Unlike the experience in main stream net game that strengthen sociality from the start, works of Jenova is doing subtraction all the time. The social experience is designed like the leave blank in traditional Chinese painting, highlight the purity of the individual:
Under this design, after every social attribute that possibly causing a perpetuating impression is being taken off, the existence of everyone becomes unique and irreplaceable. Inside this vast field of Sky:
No player name, erase the subjective definition of self.
No difference in appearance, erase the prejudices of appearance and race.
No chat ability, erase the possible gaps and misunderstandings in communication bring by language habit.
Every person who passed you by in this vast field is precious. Only after dedications and givings, and experiencing adventures together again and again, can players enter the depths of each other's lives. Every acquaintance is a miracle.
Although I'm not seeing much of these in the current game. (Pls inform me if there're grammatical errors that hinder understanding)

Summary of everything here so far: is king corrupt, there’s a king? There’s a king. Light dragons are whales/skeletons found in levels, vault diamonds are hard drive/battery things, when the stars first fell they had no capes, is the king eating an orb? We don’t know, only weapons we see are wasteland elder spear and forest purple cape spirit with bow, the praire elder has a butterfly cannon and this chat would straight up pay tgc for one, the water in wasteland is corrupt, why don’t trees have leaves, there’s a king? Are we time travelers, are we sent by the king, is the king killing everyone, winged light are soul fragments, krab are cute, Krill are immaterial like manta or jellyfish
The concept art says that the storm in eden IS the king and the child we hug after death is the prince
Edit: we also probably fall from Orbit not Eden and the Sky civilisation starts without capes

I think the main goal of the game is literally just finding out what happened in the past and restoring the memories. Because we follow the path of the light as it it turned into historical memories stored in various objects such as pots, carried towards the center. And later in lanterns in the vault of knowledge when you finally sort of understand everything after your journey. And then it says that the megabird “releases everyone’s memories”.

It was ridiculously easy to drop the spirit down to the bottom of vault too
