What are wing buffs?
When you “ascend” a spirit, you purchase its wing buff. A wing buff is the node in a spirit tree that looks like a lock with wings. ||They cost ascended candles, which you get from running Eden.||
What do they do?
Wing buffs act like winged light, but instead of needing to collect them like in the regular realms, ||they are given to you right before going through the rebirth portal in orbit. This means instead of being reborn with just one winged light and cape wedge, you can have multiple without needing to collect any winged light to begin with.||

Watch the patterns of the falling rocks, time your running in the open areas where they fall right before they end and light all lanterns for light replenishment. Once ytou get to constant rock area, zigzag or check the map in pins and find the best route that suites you and don't skip just walk.

Not really, difficulty stays the same. If you are trying to go back in for winged light, you're fine. Just keep in mind, the statues don't reset until Sunday. So, don't go back to get those you already got, if you see you missed a bunch (15.75 AC max a week) you can go back in without issue.

The first time I went through eden I already knew handstand glitch from someone who was doing it at the begining of wasteland and I watched them for a bit and figured it out, so eden wasn't super scary because of the krill. For me it was scary because I was playing in a well lit area irl and I couldn't see a thing or where I was going so I was hit by the storm a few times
That and I didn't know that I was SUPPOSED to die in eden so I was like well now what.... Did I lose? What happens now?

i always take it slow and go from lantern to lantern, dont rush anything even if there are no rocks - then i hide behind the small rocks where the krill wont see you and i wait until theres a moment with no rocks and the krill is moving away
its safe to move under the krill as long as youre not under its light

I just escorted a new player safely through all of the realms, and took her to the Point of No Return. She was scared in Eden, I told her it was the most dangerous realm (I didn't spoil it or anything though. Trying to give new players the same experience I got), and then she said "I trust you," and that really just made my day🤩
I didn't go through the Point of no return with them (I just went yesterday 😟 ) but I think they'll be okay going forward!

If you disappear and reappear in front of the krill too many times, it will attack instantly (I'm sure someone has timed it but iirc the time between it staring at you with its red light and beaning you becomes shorter and shorter every time you hide/reappear)

I love how the common response to a first time moth in eden is to leave them. Still vividly remembering my first eden experience with a moth friend and how terribly it went might I suggest instead showing the way. Don't take their hand and lead them but maybe point and let them go first then be ready to relight them if/when they get hit back down. Another option would be to go on ahead one safe cover at a time and wait for them at each cover, sometimes dipping back if they get burnt out. I feel like that would still give a lovely first hand experience for them but not quite so terrifying and like there is help on hand if they need it. Eden is terrifying

Aww that's sweet. Spread the word because I keep seeing the trend is becoming leave them and take them the second time. Its a nice thought to take them the next time and let them experience the drama first but I feel like I would have appreciated some gentle nudges and help.
Even more important now since deep call no longer reveals everyone. As first time moths my friend and I were ready to jump off the krill pipe line right near the bottom and try to fly over the chasm towards the tiny bird trail going off into the distance (very very wrong way). If I hadn't spotted via many calls someone's beacon climb the pipe the proper way right before we jumped we would have too. And that was all after losing like 15 stars each there alone We could not find our way up that pipe for the life of us with the krill and broken path and lack of light.

warping in general still works at the statues, yes, but you can't see the deep calls of a player whose light has been extinguished and they don't show up when you do your own calls

You can warp if you’re in the same map and have the friendship option unlocked iirc, but you can’t warp to them to eden from home

i thought they didn't, i might need to pay closer attention -- the main thing i remember is that their "eye" icon doesn't appear, which is what you need to bring up the "warp to them and hold their hand" option
so the best way to move in stormlock is to move one at a time, with someone always staying next to a statue and keeping lit: if the person moving around gets into trouble and gets extinguished, they can warp back to the other person safely

the first krill you encounter as an obstacle in eden is pretty jarring for newbies just getting there, since there're safe spots that you wouldn't think are safe at all since they're bathed in blue light
but when you change the camera angle, you can clearly see that pressing yourself against the big pipes means that it shouldn't actually be able to see you

i mean, once you start getting torches again eden gets a lot easier. the hardest part to me is the first half of section 2 where if you get hit by 2-3 rocks or one krill then it's either all the way back to the beginning of the section to try again or shed precious wl with every misstep from there on forward

Does it matter which Spirits you offer Ascended Candles to at the constellation / cosmetics altar after orbit?
Do I just start with Isle of Dawn and work my way up?
( All my favorite Spirits are Golden Wasteland, and after that, Forest )

if you're just starting, one good strategy is to target spirits which have cheaper wing buffs so you can build up how much winged light you're reborn with faster

while if you want buffs faster start with the isle and go up, if you're aiming for elder hair it might be worth putting candles into that constellation first, and if you want a specific item from a spirit (or will want in the near future), it might be worth seeing if that spirit needs to be ascended for you to get it.

i went to eden ~20 mins ago to drop my wls... and came across two people who stuck with me. of course, i made sure to help them when possible, honk support and the such. one of them fell behind after getting hit by rocks and we got split, but me and the other kept going. i showed 'em hiding spots, kept their light maxed, got their wl for them when they got krill'd, and took the last krill for them so they could get inside the final area and reach the point of no return.
i didn't know we'd go in there together.
i hung around them during the first section (already did it this week), and stood by 'em to head into the continuous rain together. i was next to them until they fell, and then headed forwards myself for the last few lights with them as a glowing orb behind me.
we met up again in orbit. and we headed into the light together.
i love this game. i love it even more when this kinda thing happens.

The first one just goes over the stairs, so when you arrive at those, let it just pass and then make a run for it up the stairs. If you run out of time, you can hide under a ledge.
Then skip along the ledge around the first structure, over the bridge and to the right into the tunnel and eventually into the area with crabs.
If a krill spots you on that second bit just keep skipping. It usually won’t have time to attack.
