It was a safe spot so I didn’t think that warning sound was directed at me and the red warning light only appeared immediately right before I was krilled (not a few seconds before) 🙃🙃🙃 was it a bug?

the crab cave isn’t wholly safe from the krill patrolling outside - if you get too close to it you may get insta-krilled too

most frequently, that happens when you get seen too many times in a row. the krill doesn’t like to be teased so it just dives

the krills can also be pretty glitchy at times - especially at server instance merges. if the positioning is different in your new instance the krill will race to catch up on your screen - resulting in some weird paths

and yeah, the sunny forest exit is a good spawn point for the manta quest -- just run in and out of that exit until you get a manta you can free

death loop is horrible makes you lose all your friends. safest bet is to restart the game to escape it - but yeah you’ll lose the friends that way too. death looped people can keep dying until everyone is in the dark room - since chat still works. you may end up separating anyway though

Deep calling before the new deep call update was a viable strategy actually. It would cancel the falling animation which is especially useful at the endless rain. Rn it's kinda hard because starting a deep call would stop your joystick from moving your character so it's less of a meta strat now. @modern crow

Quick Q: I’ve seen a couple videos about how you could fly to bypass the first part of Eden, but when I try I just get blown back into oblivion. Is it impossible to fly now? Was that hack fixed?

as far as i know, it's still possible to fly past the first part, though it is pretty tricky and it takes time and practice to get it right

my best advice is to angle for the place with the first lantern, and use about seven wedges of pure open wing in that direction - then gently turn and let the wind blow you to your destination

flying in the first part of eden is more of a speedrun strategy rather than a safety one, whereas certain flight paths in the second part actually allow you to avoid most of the krill

Yeah @uneven timber that’s what I’ve been trying to do I just keep getting blown up and back and smacking the entrance door. But then I realized I was still wearing my chibi mask and forgot to take it off, so I’ll go try again without it.

that doesn't matter too much. the problem is most likely you either getting smacked by rocks - causing you to lose cape energy and toggling closed wing mode - or your angle against the wind

as soon as you stop using cape energy you'll get blown back if you don't angle yourself to fly with the wind

I try to atleast get all the easy to get ones, the ones that aren't locked behind 2+ puzzles or just agrevaitong ones like the one during the flying race in valley that is behind floating rocks on a spire.

Having between 70-80 is good if you don't mind going into Eden twice, I usually do that if I'm just quick farming or bored.
