From what I presume, it's because two of those statues are in an area that is special for it's the catalyst for Zone 3
There used to be a glitch where you could stop the rain of Zone 3, including said area
Take my word as a grain of salt, I don't really know for this is an inference

i held the jump button for too long and activated flight

it threw me all the way back to the start

and into a pit that I couldn’t get out of and I suspect might have been slightly oob

U will immediately lose ur flame

And u can't get any benefit from being with a friend there

You can visit Eden as often as you like if you have the 20 stars, but you're only able to save a maximum of 63 statues in the last area each week. When eden resets, the statues refresh so you're able to save more statues and earn more ascended candles

@stoic kiln , wing buffs work similarly as winged light, except they will not affect the number of winged light you can collect from the levels. You buy wing buffs from the spirits with ascended candles. And yes, if you have a lot of wing buffs (39 max from all regular spirits, though you can now have up to 7 wing buffs from all the travelers), you will be reborn with a certain number of lights on your cape

Right now, I think you start with 46 lights, which is 6 wedges
