I'm trying to work out ascended candles and wing buffs. So you burn save 4 kids to get 1 candle? I swear I've lit more than 4 kids, but only ever get 1 candle each time? And do you have to "catch" the spirits in order to unlock them?

Yes you should be getting 1 ascended candle per 4 lit statues

By collecting the spirits you can purchase wing buffs from them

Wing buffs will give you 1 extra winged light the next time you’re reborn

And you unlock the spirit tree to have access to the cosmetics

Every spirit’s wing buff cost varies between 1 to 4

When you’ve bought a wing buff from a spirit they’ll give you a star right before you’re reborn

So doing Eden gives you more ascended candles, more wing buffs = more stars you can reach
