You can only save a max of 63 statues per week, and since you get 0.25 ascended candle per kid saved that's a max of 15.75 candles a week. When eden resets, the statues are reset so you can earn more ascended candles

In the third area, there are many statues. You give winged light to the statues to get ascended candles. For each statue, you get 1/4th of an ascended candle.

You can only save a limited number of statues per week. After eden resets though, so do the statues and you'll be able to save more.

Once you have about 90+ wings it’s possible to full clear eden if you’re careful. Last run I got 15 candles, and that was enough for me. However a friend wanted to go and took them. Seems I missed 3 spirits from the first run, so not all bad.

Well, the shortcut at the beginning now has stairs going down to it and that area is covered with snow. And the cliff you usually had to fly up to isn’t there any more. So now you can just walk the whole way to avoid the rocks. It’s really nice!

It’s much lighter everywhere now, you can see a lot more detail and things in the distance.

The pipes with the krill are totally different underneath. I was always losing footing on beams and ending up down there in the dark, but now it’s open and very well-lit.

Getting up the second rockstorm is much easier for me now. Getting up the final Krill Hill was way easier, too. They calmed the wind down there a lot.

I’m not saying they don’t go in the same pattern, I’m saying they’re slower.

For the first time ever, I was able to make it to the crab pipe before the krill that goes past it came back and got me in the red light just as I jump into it. That always happened to me before, no matter how fast I ran that section, and today I did it twice, slowly, with time to spare. So for once I didn’t end up falling several times in my attempts. I was so happy!

I didn’t go super slow along there, but I didn’t attempt to frantically run the way I always did before, and I was surprised I made it to the crab pipe before that krill passed by again.

I think it’s a really good balance of still being challenging and scary/heart-stopping for newer people while also being manageable for more seasoned players now. Because the last update made the wind over the top, especially on the final hill. I could barely get up it any more and it made me really hate the whole experience. Some excitement and adrenaline is fun, but pure terror and sweaty palms no matter how many times you’ve gone just isn’t awesome, IMHO. It made it much harder to help newer people who are already frightened enough without me getting them and myself repeatedly toasted.

@river oxide I think you really will be pleased. BTW, I was always totally losing light, too, and giving up. I know they want people to go in groups, and I do love going with friends, but there are times when no one’s available or, more often, I just really need some me time where I can do something scary and challenging and feel really good — capable and accomplished — when I succeed. I just really need that sometimes, where I need it to almost be a Zen-like personal and private thing just for me.

I’m trying to remember when I ran Eden yesterday to see if i noticed a difference. I mean, I was able to make it up the hill without feeling like the krill was coming down on top of me, but I did lose some wings due to being foolish and going back for the other winged light

But yeah, krill hill is always the worst, so I’m glad they made it easier

yeah... usually during the endless rain everyone splits up and runs to try and smacc as many statues as they can, because you might have a different amount of winged lights so some might die faster then others, and there's no point in sticking together to try and maintain ur light because the rain does wayyyy too much damage
