If you do it in the starry place it'll kick in while you exit ^^
Otherwise you'll have to wait til' next eden run

You get the buffs as you walk down the starry path towards the door to rebirth. So any ascending you do at Home won’t give you a buff until the next time you go down that path. The buffs are gifts from the emote spirits, so you’ll get one from each ascended spirit every time you go through being reborn.

Ah, I see. Lol the moment I saw the warning I'd lose all light before entering Eden I thought it was okay that's the thing. But I didn't notice that getting hit by the raining red shards actually drain my wings. I don't even know that the wings kinda act as a health bar.

I notice that amount is not fixed per run, but rather a capped amount per week, likely correspending to the proportion of Fallen freed.

@hushed sage That came up a couple of weeks ago. I never tried it because I didn't want to bother risking stars that way: the krill guarding the cat-walks still must be avoided. It does seem to be a viable strategy inthat there's no wind for that part.

@zinc vessel The reason I still think it's a portal is that inside it during the cut-scene has detail that doesn't map to a convex surface and stays constant relative to the camera. Also, its edges, including the fine details of tears in it, jump around in a way that seems 2D-ish, to me. But I don't think it's clear enough to rule anything out yet, one way or the other.

the krill in that area is actually fine because there's only one, so you can wait down there until it leaves and fly up
(in case it isn't obvious I really recommend it, it takes about 5-6 wings and after a few tries can be quite stable)

the trick is to keep moving your Sky kid and moving the camera at the same time, so that you are always moving at the correct angle

@hushed sage for the last bit: I take cover behind the first small block, then at the larger rock with a lantern, then by the stairs to the right. After that I jump up the stairs and hide behind a ledge that juts forward to the left, eventually moving to a rock on the left. When I'm there I always wait for the krill to move from left to right before I run. But it can take a little while to time it correctly with the rock rain, so don't rush it.

Usually, if you force-quit then re-launch and go back to Eden, it'll pick up roughly where you left off if you do it within a few minutes.
As far as getting close to the eye of Storm, general consensus has been that barrier winds prevent any contact with it, and you're basically stuck until you run out of Winged Light.

A couple of nice users here told me to observe the paths the krill take from a safe distance. Also, the rock rain usually has around a 6 second interval between sessions, at least that’s what I had on my first run.
Make sure you have a planned route before making a dash somewhere. Also, having a companion can be quite nice! I heard others recommending having a friend tag along if it’s your first Eden run. Also, try not to get stressed!

i got literally all of the stars in this weeks run
for one, lighting the way beats running to find the statues. i've found the best way is to go slow, and think ahead (and a little glitch that stops the rock rain after a while but shhh)
ummmm oh! for the krills, there are 3 hiding areas under ledges on the climb up the pipes,,,aaand at the last krill area with the rocks, i hide behind a rock until they're synced, and then i book it. it's worked so far :) he takes his time when he's to the right

You can also fly from the pipe I landed in up to the next area instead of walking around the outside. It’s not really a shortcut or easier, but it’s possible.

btw @torpid badge the things you use star candles to buy are wing buffs, which are equivalent to one star. it’s how people get more than 7 cape stars (max number of stars in the wild) maximum (with wing buffs) is 9.

for those people who are impatient:
-When you’re out of stars, I think spamming call helps you die faster
-When you’re in the falling cutscene, do drop dead or handstand or something like that to drop faster
-spam boost in Orbit lol. You can get in the birdstream when ur in the final part and spam boost up.
-not fully rested yet, but you know how you’re not supposed to jump in Sacrifice, but run? It might maybe maybe be possible to jump if you spam half-baked calls (don’t tap, tap and hold). I think Dune mentioned it before, I always use the half-baked calls because it lets me sound like a clock lol, but if someone wants to confirm if this works with jumping too or race a grounded friend pls tell

One note for u: ur skychild doesn’t wanna scream and shout and let it all out. The camera angle shifts a bunch, so ur skychild might quickly go from the left side of the screen to the right, making hard to call charge, etc

It's about the area you enter and where your respawn point is set, and where the detection zone for the storm is.
The statues just happen to be around that area

@polar iron Cape wedges represent how many stars you have. They’re also represented on the back of your cape.
55 stars = 7 wedges, 75 stars = 8, 100 stars = 9
When you fly and flap your cape, your cape wedge meter is reduced. More wedges means more flying time before you must recharge.

@narrow garden there’s a section where the rock rain doesn’t stop at all. when you reach there you will see three off to the left (34-36), one in the middle (37) and two to the right. those are 38 and 39

@stone gull there are a few nice things. The broken pipe, you can actually get there. Not sure if its easier to get through it through, definitely need a second person for it. Then there's the hole you literally can't fall into.
advice: if you're using the "stop the rain" method. go for the furthest ones first and circle back around. On your second run you'll be able to get the ones close to the start that you missed. focus on making something like a path connecting different torches. (when u return from home they will not be lit)
