There is a way to avoid the opening entirely but you need to be really tall so you can oob, plus it takes longer

very late reply- Shepherd is a mystery thing that is supposed to rank how friendly you are. You can become a shepherd by doing social stuff (we aren’t really sure exactly what but we think it’s stuff like friending players and lighting players). Being a shepherd allows you to see who is a new players (a little heart symbol comes over their head) and i think they are able to tell you’re a shepherd via a similar symbol? I think the system is supposed to encourage helping new players out more and to avoid being duped by people pretending to be moths. in all the shepherd system is quite confusing and not a lot is known for sure about it yet!

Just ask them how long they’ve been playing and why they have so many candles, most of them will admit it ngl

you can report players without friending them! All you have to do is light them, then tap them. Instead of tapping the friend icon, tap the area where the report button usually is. Despite the button not displaying it is still usable

It’s not the yeti slope- it’s the slope beside it. If you do either valley race you can do the quest regardless though. Fly up the right hand side of the stadium when you finish and you’ll see the girl in front of the door to the village.

I know we are not supposed to talk about hackers but the experience i just had was unbelievable
I was trying to relieve the ts, it was me and two other normal players
There was also one snowflake cape on its own, i didn't even approach them but they turned visible to me after a while, they also had rhythm ult hair and ult umbrella
The ts kept moving on its own, we tried to carry it but after some seconds it would go back in the opposite direction
The snowflake cape had a table displayed, they and the table from time to time vanished only to spawn in random places across the cave
The table got in our way and without willing to i sat on it, there was no chat icon and i couldn't stand up for a few seconds
Man it was a nightmare
The light of the ts vanished and we had to do it all over again, the second time there was again the problem of the light moving on its own and at that some point it completely vanished and me and the other players noticed that the spirit began working like a "normal" one, when you have to just "touch" the memories without carrying anything

Currently you can’t because the boats that are meant to carry you up are broken
Once the boats are fixed however, take the same boats you took for 2nd quest up to the top. Go up some more and you should see a second boat button to activate. The second set of boats takes you to the 3rd quest area

Nope, you can bound it to one global sky, one beta and one netease sky app as far as i know. (It’s in the thatskyshop FAQ somewhere) I have it linked to both beta and live and works in both places. I did the linking with android tho so i clearly could see which app i want to open, but the game will ask you again to scan the pin for linking. Before that you can check which sky opened when you clicked on one of them.

@shadow stream that’s sad especially if you were helping. There are a lot of people who live sky who aren’t teens and that’s awesome! I wish people just didn’t act that way. Sky has the emote system partially to avoid that I think (and safety). Sky kids should help and share emotes to communicate instead of treating people badly. Hope your next moth is a friendly one and that this didn’t make u not wanna help them! You’re great for trying anyway!!

What i heard from close friends, who linked it to ios, that some of them got the chosing window with the 2 Sky button, some didn’t. I don’t know why is that happening tho. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Like i said i did it with my phone which is android (sadly ipad are not compatible with the pins ) . I always get the window where i can chose between Sky, Sky beta or Google chrome. I tried it and the binding itself is possible to both. How can you chose the app in ios if it doesn’t offer you the option? I have no clue, I was, and i am mostly an android person, so i’m not that familiar with setting options like this in apple products.

I am not entirely sure though since I have not actively inspected the area since they have been relocated

the simplest work around i've found is to stand right next to it, and then restart your game. then use the return shrine and activate it. you'll spawn a bit below and have to walk up some steps. as long as you're quick enough it works. it's faster than turning off and on wifi/data imo

the simplest work around i've found is to stand right next to it, and then restart your game. then use the return shrine and activate it. you'll spawn a bit below and have to walk up some steps. as long as you're quick enough it works. it's faster than turning off and on wifi/data imo.

It seems like the crash from the confirmation screen before entering pnr is now happening exclusively to Android devices, and possibly (from what I could gather) every single Android device. I have yet to hear from an Android player that made it through it, and even a flagship phone at minimum settings didn't get through, even with the usual OOB workarounds (tested by Kai)

Any 2-person Pin spell effects on beta won't work correctly due to not being the actual pins that are bound to your account. buried in the snowbank next to the boat is the STAR spell "rock" shop, they are early prototypes of the STAR effects for the items available for preorder from thatskyshop. Focus isn't on testing those right now, but they are available for use.

yeah it's a tricky bug we've been fighting for a very long time. sometimes new reports on old issues shed new light on the situation, it's one of those things where "is it worth reporting?" is yes-but-no-but-also-yes-maybe?

The reason I'm asking about it now on the patch 0.12.0 builds is trying to narrow down the cause of the multiplayer quests that are currently active on beta. usually the quest isn't able to be completed, but i started seeing reports of the memory being completed which would be a separate issue. usually once you pick up the first fragment, the quest goes back to being dormant.

If it helps to understand why these spirits can sometimes be triggered, it's because every spirit is technically there in the game code, lying dormant, until it's their time to shine as a Traveling Spirit. The ones with "carryball" mechanics are the easiest to activate. Once you try to progress the memory sequence, it hits the first checkpoint and remembers that it's dormant and the quest should deactivate. However, as we've all seen, this isn't always the case.

The team is always trying to improve how the game is rendered, which includes cleaning up 8 year old legacy code and make the gameplay better. One of the reasons you're seeing these old multiplayer quests is us working on the quest system for future content. Lo and behold, we found some bugs in the process. Despite that, it's good to see and know that you all are enjoying these quests, which may help shape the kinds of things we make in the future.
