if you have trouble with the home emotes menu trick, you can also try the spam emotes trick (just tap one emote over and over like point or faint ) or the instrument trick (take out an instrument like piano or harp and play the krill a song while he eats you)

both of these will protect you from krill but they aren’t as reliable as home trick in my experience. some people say the opposite though so it may just be down to personal preference
