Fly over the tunnel to the ship wreck and walk out to the ledge, drop down to ledge with winged light and keep right, down in the corner is the crab spit

Two is best, you can split up easily in case a krill strike is inevitable, but you aren't so big of a crowd that the spirit gets dragged back or the krill spotting you more often

I did it though, surprisingly on my own since the sky servers decided to be mean to me and not give me other players to help out

So eventually you’ll be led to an area that two krills are nearby, the area itself is the only hiding place and trying to move or if it will cause you to be attacked, well this spirit is a guide it to its location and this area gets two krills one that denies further progression and one to cover the other side so your in a endless loop of being seen so unless you want to loose everything it’s LITERALLY impossible

bruh this week's seasonal at wasteland took me so long to get OTL

Tried doing the seasonal in wasteland solo using the play dead technique. The dragon hangs around looking for you long enough that the time runs out and you have to keep playing dead until the dragon moves on

Yeah it's rough!! I wouldn't have made it without helpers... to the black cape who helped me

You can't rely on the emotes, you have to just calmly walk to cover while it's clicking menacingly at you

It is easier if only one person is walking the spirit and everyone else is floating around working interference.

Got the spirit without losing any spirits thanks to a small friend I found. We took turns being caught by the krill and then escaping. Shout out to them and good luck friends, it’s not so bad!

I have terrible luck with krills. Today, I just went a little slow (solo), in that I just waited for the krill light to pass once, and moved to next spot.

I got hit once, next time I was spotted I jumped to nearby cover.. and ran back to floaty thing. I went knowing I will lose stars, but lost only 2..

Just do task, don’t focus of collecting lost-krill-hit-wings back during task.. good luck

I went prepared to lose a bunch of wings, even a wedge or two.. those can be found again. Idea was to compete the task. So krill were not an issue.. just getting the spirit.. it worked out well.

When possible, avoid krill light, when not, just keep swimming. Bruises heal, wings are easily found again.. mostly where we got them the first time around.

Dunno how well known it is but the way I managed to scrape by is spamming the playing dead emote anytime a krill got nearby, they leave you alone long enough to get the spirit and keep moving

The first time I went there was another player waiting. I thought I might wait for more players but she lit the spirit so I was all like . . . Okay, let’s do this thing. Then the first krill attack and without notice she aborted and left the area. LOLz. I tried to finish it by myself but got hopelessly stuck and had to quit. My light was stuck on a wall because I went the wrong way. When I came back, two friends and a stranger were there and we all got it together. The 2 friends already had it but were just hanging around to help others.

I came in late in the season and didn’t fully understand what was going on when I got it. It might have been triggered by other players before I got there. And I was being led around by another player who knew his way around. So I didn’t appreciate how difficult that spirit was.

The one I found the most challenging was in Hidden Forest last season. So many players didn’t understand to keep it out of the rain.

So I helped a lot of players with that one.

A mostly full run for me takes about an hour and a half

I care less about losing stars than I used to because of 2 things. The first is that I’m at maximum wing strength now. So losing a wing wedge or two doesn’t really cripple my game. But the other is that while I was testing last season I decided to sacrifice my sky kid to the krill in game to see what happened if you lost your life outside of Eden.

Ugh! The spirit is making me so frustrated! I’m walking like normal and I keep dropping it, and there’s so many krill around that I keep loosing my stars, and I got so close and lost it!

Very upset because i lost 8 light getting the new spirit. Had someone with me but they literally sat in safety and watched me do it all by myself and struggle. Didn’t bother to help me once. Then they claimed the reward at the end even though they did nothing to earn it. Felt like letting the light vanish just so they would have to earn it but i needed it too and wasn’t about to go through that again

Krill saw and hit me through a wall twice which makes no sense. There was no way it saw me

I don’t think helping someone by distracting the krill then playing dead would work because the krill will search the area and hit any player it finds.

Look for the impaled crabs who were mercilessly killed just to spin above a fire pit

I had a method which worked well. Whenever I got spotted, I would spam dead emote, and as soon as the light turned blue I got back up so the spirit wouldn’t disappear. I kept inching slowly towards cover until it was safe to stop

The only real issue was the last crabs. There needs to be someone to knock them down at the very end, because I had like 6 start attacking me at once lol. Not fun

Also, I’m 100% not bragging, I’m just confused. Mostly everyone had problems getting it, like the crabs and krill and sometimes people who helped, but I didn’t have much trouble. I only lost three light I think. Does it vary or something?

I feel like this spirit was really unfair. If you do it solo, you risk something happening that causes the spirit to leave. And with others, you risk all of you losing light. Not very fun 😓

I’m new enough that this would have been impossible for me to do on my own. I asked for help in the #looking-for-group-live channel and the people I met through that were absolutely selfless and lovely and helped me and another newbie get the emote.

At the end there are both crabs and krill, and the spirit slows you down. Having people to yell at the crabs was super helpful, and for us newbs, it was essential to have people bait the krill away from us. But someone who knows what they’re doing could be fine solo.

I’ve gotten so that I can get through wasteland by avoiding all the scary stuff because people were kind to me and took me through it and I got that crazy bypass tunnel (what is the official name for that thing?) early. But avoiding all the scary stuff isn’t terribly helpful for when you want to actually... get stuff like wing lights and wax.
