Are there 7 more Sets of Quests to come or only 6 Sets of quests to come? (After the one that is active)

With 7 to come I could complete the season spirits and get that special item, with six to come I‘d need to buy seasonal candles

The seasonal candles are all in the shipwreck part of Wasteland.

There’s one by the tip of the ship to your left, one on the bottom floor where the star is in the ship, one across from the lantern stand in the room above the bottom floor, and then on the back of the ship on its ledge.

I can’t provide pictures, but basically they’re scattered completely around the shipwreck itself.

Either the halloween outfit was intentially expensive for that reason, or they just miscalulated how comfortable players were spending for the item. Likely a loud minority said something but likley most who bought it were perfectly fine with it.

that's not really satisfactory knowledge though. with the amount of stink brought up about the Halloween accessory pricing in this discord, in the twitter replies to the update, and in appstore reviews, it's vocal enough to be seen as an issue that would need this sort of thing clarified but it never did get answered. hopefully people won't forget to bring it up next livestream q&a since the one the week of got canceled.

furthermore, some people are collectors and likely would have bought the items anyways even if they disagree with the pricing. this question is biased, but you could likely ask any number of people who have it if they are happy with the price they paid for it and it's more likely they'd wish there was more to it.

there is also a point to be made that beta players reportedly complained about the initial price point and the price was raised before hitting live (search this discord, i can't source it at the moment). another point, the pricing hasn't been too kind in conversions to other countries. i remember brazil for example (again, just searching Brazil will bring this up pretty quickly) mentioning the absurd pricing of the cosmetics as a result of the conversion. still wasn't addressed. radio silence kinda speaks volumes to the lack of attention this had gotten.

Alright so Im one of the people who have disagreed with the cape price and still bought it because I do want to collect everything. Its like playing the sims for me, I just want to have all the packs to play the game in its full glory back when it was in beta. The price initially was $5 USD from what friends have told me and I was fine with that. But when it went live it became $10. It was definitely a stretch for me but I still bought it because I wanted to collect

But tbh I do agree- I just wished they had made it a bundle to make it worth the purchase. Not to mention the pumpkin hat aswell.... not happy with the price but still bought it anyway :/

Another way of thinking about it is, the dev team didnt write the rule book as to what is and what is not acceptable means of monetization in a game. They kinda moved as the market has. can you imagine some of the games being released today, being incomplete, or buggy, or broken or with a full prize tag and containing microtransactions and being released in 2000? they would be eaten alive.

If this game was not free, maybe not enough people would buy it that would allow this company to keep releasing content or to keep the servers running. They could force free players to watch adverts or to watch adverts for candles (something I would actually be ok with) but they dont ,because it can be annoying for others and breaks the flow of this fantastic game...or maybe they cant do it due the demand on the CPU.

They are just doing what will allow them to keep the game running and successful....cant blame them for that

another point, candles bundled with these items would go a long way. to put it another way, giving candles may or may not eat into the bottom line separately but candles are a currency that does not take any production to generate (presumably) and are relatively desired, so it wouldn't have, to my understanding, actually hurt at all to bundle candles to match the value of the cosmetic they are selling. in fact, they have been doing that, at least with founders, and the winter pack gave a number of items by itself which is another reason why the pricing may have been seen as jarring to the vocal players because of what you were getting.

to the point that they need to be profitable, there's a careful line to thread where a mixed reception to how they priced something can negatively affect the overall profit. yeah, they probably made a good amount of money for the Halloween cosmetics but they also:

• lost potential sales because of the reception to the pricing
• received negative feedback over the pricing in Twitter replies to the updates
• received negative reviews on the appstore regarding the pricing

So ultimately, it may not have been a net positive overall if others read into how this was handled and decide not to either try the game out or not buy into future cosmetics.

This is just my opinion, but I think a reason why they were willing to price the halloween cosmetics this way is due to how popular this game has become in Japan. The mobile game industry is big there, and even if some us aren’t willing to spend on the cosmetics, many Japanese players would be willing to do so.

Lightseekers wasteland solo is a crazy experience but it's great for the brave

Though sadly, replaying the escort spirit doesn't give you the perk of regen that you usually get when under its radius

you must be accepted by the crab in order to learn their secret language

You basically just have to accept that some crabs are going to be angery at you, and the best you can do while in a swarm of crab is to dodge them

Urgh, the spirit quest today. I went to prairie, saw the spirit at the bit hollow ball thing, followed it with a bunch of others, and it disappeared without completing the quest. Went to the next area, back, nothing. Back to home, waited, back, nothing. Quit the app, reopened, went back, STILL nothing! Gave up and went to the temples area, saw the spirit there 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

@spark quest during the candle reset, the daylight savings completely messed up the internal clock, causing all the candles to reset every second, for a whole hour.
because of this, no matter what area you are in in the game, the candles would have been reset and you would be able to collect them again.
it was basically an hour where you can exploit this glitch and collect as much wax as you could possibly want. (for a whole hour)
The community called this event “The Waxing Hour”

You can have some surprisingly good moments with random players (best run of Eden I ever had was with a random player, in fact), and meanwhile the people you talk with here aren’t complete strangers. Oh, might only work if you have the umbrella out and tap on a space where you have to stand and hold a butterfly (e.g. the butterfly door in prairie, I did it by the ||oreo stone||. If you try it the normal way you put the umbrella away first, which is 100000x more sensible

@candid thicket the manta in the emotes? That’s a space manta or whatever peeps call it. It’s in vault - I think 3rd level up, same level as waterfalls and seasonal spirit. It’s on a platform you can see from one of the temple buildings - light the candles and then push the call button that appears

The release manta is in the last scene of forest- there is one under the ramp you go down after cutscene when entering the last scene, and the big one is off to the right in water. Need to burn the dark plants to release.

You may have to reset the dark plants if you keep arriving and they are already burned. Best way is to fly up to barrier door in tree above the big manta in water.

Today’s spirit is the crying emote. So you need to go to the last section of forest and go to a cave that’s blocked by darkness. The cave is to the right of the bridges. Hope that made sense 😅

Walk straight on from where you freed the manta, walk on the bridge, then fly over to the small hill on the right and drop down in the cave through one of the holes. Good luck!

I mostly have stopped looking for friend messages because they’re so hard to find. But I assume they don’t find my messages because they’ve stopped posting and looking as much too, so there’s less incentive to keep posting

There should be a large grey stone with a little swirl pattern on it. Beside that stone, there should be a white glowing circle similar to the ones you see at temples with the sit prompt. It's a little bugged though, so you might have to exit and re-enter the area to get the white glowy circle to pop up.

Yep. The glitches this season have been much smaller than the last season, and they put in alternate quests to get around them, so personally I’m not expecting a repeat of the last-minute bug compensation
