You can get 5 a day, one full one from the area around the spirit in the focused area of the day (ex: Today's focus is valley, you can find the candles ||in the ice rink, where the valley's seasonal spirit hangs around||), you can get four from daily quests as well. If you bought the season pass you can get one free daily candle from the pedestal in the homespace. So five, and then six if you bought the pass @upbeat maple

I had a lovely time last night helping a group trying to get the spirit in Forest. It took a few tries, but I held out my candle and chirped when I was in safe spots, then darted ahead of them as they made progress. I never stepped into their circle of light - just hinted at where they should go. We were all excited when they finally made it to the end!

But then today, I went to Wasteland to get the spirit there...and even though I had seen some spark icons show up when I called, I saw no other players. I did the entire trial myself, though it would have been nice to have some help at some points. Turns out they were all waiting at the exit. I felt so disheartened when I got up there, I almost just turned around to drop the light. But I had already come so far, and why should I sabotage myself for their sake?

I did the math and if you bought the season on the first release date, got the bonus 20 candles, and received all 6 available candles each day, you’ll end up with 308 candles. Hopefully it’s enough to complete the season.

gosh just about everyone I meet at home and most of my online friends has something from the season pass but somehow I haven't gotten a single gift yet
I really hate to buy the pass solo, but even my other friends already have the pass gifted to them

One of them was a sadder song from HTTYD2 which was pretty funny as we were all doing the play dead emote already in the fire
